FULL EVENT | Iron BIBY's 217kg/478lbs World Record Axle Press is officially the Loudest noise EVER recorded in the ROYAL ALBERT HALL!
For the first time in 120 Years, Strongman returned to the one of the World's Greatest Arena's in 2021 for 'The Strongman Classic'. It was previously known as "The Great Competition" in the Victorian Age.
Eddie 'The Beast' HALL's World Record (216kg) had stood for 4 years until the Giant from Burkina Faso's EPIC Lift.

    Stop crying, every athlete can have multiple attempts to lift. They have a certain time frame within they can try as often as they want. Most of them are simply burned out after one attempt. Awesome fight by biby with a great result. No reason to throw shade on it

    BS record. Gets to attempt 3 times, then doesn't even get a clean lift. Then on top of that he doesn't even shoulder press it! He leans so far back that he's incline pressing it.

    @@russwhaley2618 dude wtf? trying it 3 times just makes it way more impressive. biby basically cleaned a world record weight 3!!!! times and still had the power left to press it. mimimi he leans back? it is within the rules and the way that works best for him... this is strongman, rules are loose --> get the weight up as you want

    I have never witnessed someone sweating like that before. It was like someone left the faucett turned on....lol Damn that was sweet second attempt. I wonder if he could have made it if he didn't have his stomach to rest that bar one for 2-3 seconds or would have made it more difficult. Pressing it looked like no effort required at all... He is a tremendous strongman.

    It breaks me how easy Eddie put up 1kg less than this in one go. If Eddie had put up 220 which I think was very possible for him at that time, Bibby would have had no chance

    I'd say Eddie Hall did his record better, Iron Biby leaned back so much that he was more likely using his chest more than his shoulders pressing it up. I don't axle press myself but it did look fishy but still an impressive lift.

    Obviously he's super strong, but you cannot compare this to what Eddie did with his axle world record press. Bibby was bent back so far he might as well of been doing a bench press. What Eddie did, we'll be highly unlikely to see again in our life times.

    oh ... he rolls it and uses the momentum. ... that is why they cancelled the overhead press on olympic lifting - people just bent back and benched the weight up

    I'm not an Eddie Hall fan at all, but as far as this lift goes, it should still be his record. This is an overhead press, not a 45 degree incline press. I do believe Biby has the power to get it done legit, he just needs to do it. Shit is horrible to look at.🤦‍♂

    @@tripix939 even in powerlifting there are standards for lifts. You can't quarter squat your way to a world record, your deadlift has to be clean with no hitching, and your bench press has to be clean as well. There is no crying when mentioning that this is an ass ugly looking press. You likely quarter squat and press ugly so you took offense. Stop being a chick about it and accept that it's an ass looking lift.

Maybe an all round athlete, like the rest of the guys that compete afterwards. 🤔 I've been following strongman for 40 years, and Bibby is overrated. Until I see him compete in more than static events, and dominate the field, my opinion stands. It's upto him, and the organisers to change mind.

    @@charles-mp9nt not much be he did a full giant live show and was in the top pack every event. He has visa issues most of the times with orevents him from traveling to comps. And it's not like he pulls out mid show, most of the times he just competes as a guest lifter for shoulder oriented lift during world championships, nothing wrong with that.
