The thing I take out of this draft is that LSV needs to draft WW more often in the competitive cubes

That last round opponent just saved your creature from their own Damnation ....I can only hope they drew Damnation that turn, but still 😅

You coulda had ALL the fetches!!!! 😂😂🤣🤣. Unfortunately a few times there were two in same pack, but you had access to like 8 or 9 fetches I think this draft.

M1G3 near the end: While it is generally true that cracking fetches to thin your deck of lands gives only a marginal boost to your average draw, at this point with your deck size and the number of lands you have left, doesn't cracking the fetches significantly improve your odds to draw action?

Exactly the comment I came here to see. At the end after that damnation LSV had 20 life points and like 11 cards, about to draw from monarch and cycling. Sacing both those fetches before those draws would have made a HUGE difference. I’m surprised he at least didn’t mention it if he was choosing to not do it possibly for more total turns to finish the game in. Also, that turn he had just enough mana to play jailer, Adeline, and cycle, so why not start by cycling to see if you draw something better to play instead of one/both.

58:00 crew with Solitude evoke on the stack so you can attack with Figure?

Maybe a dumb rule question, but 26:07 can't you crew the copter after blocks to make Adeline a 3/4 and kill the elk?

I think you misunderstood. He said he is not claiming to be good, because it's obviously true, not because he is not.

Even if your 2nd opponent blocked your rebel, I'm pretty sure Mutavault could have gotten Otharri back.

You are unarguably the best drafter I have ever seen...and I've seen a few.....

24:48 My line would be block token with Adeline and Gix with Steel Seraph, play Emperor and +1/+1 first strike Seraph.

Mom doesn’t protect from sweepers, just targeting and colored damage. Like an earthquake that doesn’t target will still be protected by mom. But destroy or getting toughness negative protection doesn’t help.

Hard pivot into mono white for the trophy was my last mtgo cube, too. Somehow it's still under drafted?

That's not how equipment works. You can only equip your own creatures.

@@smelltankif skullclamp could kill opponents creatures… that would be crazy good, even if they got to draw the cards, just the extra option for killing a bowmasters for example.

in draft maybe but I would say in literally every other constructed format it's busted. Also a potential 5 color mox which not many others are

It's not the best mox, but it is still a mox. It's worse than Mox Diamond, but not by that much. A colored mana accelerant that goes in almost any deck is a high pick on both power and flexibility. But "overrated" depends on how highly you think it's rated. In a vacuum, I would say it's about the same as a fetchland? In that sort of general "great card" area that is just below the busted cards that are deck-defining top picks.

@@raisins7777 Mox Tantalite is also "still a Mox" so in all honesty the "still a Mox" is absolutely not an argument. Yes it ramps and can do busted stuff, but so can a lot of other cards. Maybe I just don't like going down a card, but perhaps in a deck with draw sevens... And I feel I rarely see it perform very well in these draft videos. When comparing to fetches, personally I'd rather provide permanently good fixing as fetches combined with duals or triomes are just very good. Also, I rate both Mox Diamond and Mox Opal over it by a significant margin.

theres no way u compared that suspend mox ive never heard of to chrome. moxs are also pain free while fetchs arent which can add up if youre constantly using them, and as I said in my other response draft is definitely where chrome mox is at its worst but is still extraordinarily powerful. I understand that going down a whole card seems like a lot but thats the same case with the MH elementals and other free spells. The trigger is also a "may" allowing u to up the storm and artifact count for free which isnt nothing as seen in the video.

@@sethadelman8 well, the point was not that Mox Tantalite is good, if you had cared to try to read or understand my previous comment. Rather the opposite. It totally sucks. And therefore also the argument "it is still a Mox" sucks, and just doesn't add anything useful to the discussion. Rather, it kind of gives it an extra bonus to the card just based on it's name alone, and that's part of the problem here and what makes it overrated. That doesn't mean, however, that I think Chrome Mox sucks, it has it's potential, even in fringe cases like casting it to get up the storm count, or just to sac it for some effect. But I just think it doesn't make up for being as highly picked as I see all the time...
