thank you for that one. I no longer live in Toronto and never got the chance to see a show there. You have given me a chance to see the Great Mocambo.

This was a great video. That Church was beautiful. Interesting to see inside the Daniels building. Also enjoyed seeing El Mocambo.

A very interesting walk, this time taking a look inside rather than only passing by. Good job Johnny!

My old neighbourhood. So many memories, although so much has changed. You need to make a stop at Grossman's Tavern, a block further down on Spadina at some point soon. The grey house across Spadina at 3:53 above was home to the late Bill Banting, son of Sir Frederick Banting in the '70s. Some friends of mine were his housemates.

Wow, grew up in Toronto 1960-2000 and I remember the El Mo as more of a hangout dive bar when I went to UofT. Looks like a museum now.

Thanks for the ElMo tour Johnny! I played there a couple times in the late 80's. It's a VERY different entity now! And expensive to see a show.

Went to the El Mo in 1988 just by chance. Some unknown local band was playing, then they started a conga line. The Barenaked Ladies. 2001. Was at Mandalay Bay in Vegas to see a concert. The Barenaked Ladies. And again back in June 1988, I was at the Horseshoe Tavern. Friday around 6pm. Some band was playing at the back I never heard of. $5 cover which I did not want to pay. it was The Tragically Hip. ah well...
