I own a 107 year old Martin guitar that was previously owned by Jim Milne, the original bass player for Downchild. It came with correspondence between the late Jim Milne and the late Mike Longworth of the Martin guitar company. It is a magnificent and valuable instrument with a great bit of music history attached to it. It is also the first guitar that Martin sold with steel strings that was not a custom order. They only made 17 of them. It plays and sounds amazingly. It was called a model 1350 koa.

What a happy bunch with each member a master in their own right. The harmony is so great that it portrays warmth & good time. Pls make a note. These bunch of guys & a gal sure need a bigger stage but who cares, surely they don't cos they just want to play their blues rock & have a good time.

one of my favourite local bands. I ran sound and lights for them three times many years ago. At the Arlington in Port Elgin twice in the 80's and at the Harb in Owen Sound in the 90's. Great bunch of guys. Donny was most interested in my home made light show with a control box using a cardboard box. Were every you are Donny... Take care old friend.

Never to late to get into the blues.. I started in the mid sixties.. now loving Mississippi John Hurt.. seems the longer you listen and play the simpler and more basic it gets.. First saw BB King down on the waterfront In TO at a small bar called the fire hall.. NOT the comedy club.. I think it was 72 or 73

The reason Blues and Toronto can be used in the same sentence is Downchild - Donny Walsh. Didnt end up being the only great one, but longevity!!! I am an old bastard and saw El Mocambo shows, the Ex, Madames Mansion, etc and had them at a private corn roast in a farm field in Oakville. Saw Hock and Tony Flaim, hard to say which one was best - probably Flaim, but Hock was very cool. Saw Jane Vasey when the Band did a gig in the stone yard in the Don Jail. If you are from Toronto and have none of this cool in you, you could be a cause pf problems and we may deport you. See you at Massey Hall, fine local history.
