The LEGENDARY "Big Red" Camaro goes 216MPH!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is the biggest wing we have ever seen on a car.. and it has a purpose! Lots of downforce for lots of traction! Not only is this Camaro unique looking, its about just as strange under the hood. Somehow all this craziness works together to propel this old 1960's car over 200MPH!

Big Red is a freaking legend! So many different types of racing has transpired from that car. It's also the godfather of the pro-touring movement. Glad to see it back running after the major fire a couple of years ago.

Bro you took the words right out of my mouth! This car has been competing since the late 80s! And has evolved numerous times over the decades. It has had a movie/documentary made about the car and driver. Big Red has had a cameo appearance in the Fast and Furious movies! This car is Legendary!
Big Red and the Crusher Camaro really hooked me on cars back when I was a kid. Glad to see both are still going strong all these years later.

Big Red has been around since 1987 competing in the La Carrera. Beast of a machine. Multiple engine configurations depending on the event.
The legend is back! Literally the most legendary car ever because of how many different styles and classes of racing she does and is competitive at every one!🇺🇸🇺🇸🤘

Yup. I have been watching this car since the early 80's. It's not the same car, of course (the original burned to the ground), but they have stayed true to the 69 platform they started with.

Just a legend of a car. This was a instant classic at the silver state challenge. (Not many people are aware of its origins)
The Crow: "look at this ridiculous wing" Big Red: "hold my beer"
"Thanks for being being a fan" How could ya not be? This thing is wicked cool. And it's (undoubtedly) not even it's final form.
I remember translating a speedhunters article about Big Red around a decade ago, glad to see this car still kicking ass)
The first Protouring Musclecar. Im amazed you guyz dont do more vids on this beast. Bigred is the first super Musclecar to do 200 mph on a closed course on a public road. Back in the day it was a supercar asskicker. In 1989 this beast did 200 + mph in race held in Nevada called the silver state classic. I'll never forget this one of a kind car. Thank you RJ and crew for showing the old school is still giving up a fight for records.
"thanks for being a fan" much more original than the usual " appreciate it"
Pro touring car #1. Man I’ve loved this thing for so long. What can’t they do with it?!
It sounds so gnarly, because the exhaust just runs straight from front to back, without any bends you hear every pop and crackle mixed together at the same time. I have the very same set up.
That car is a legend i remember first time that i saw in Hot Rod magazine
Glad to see they rebuilt Big Red again. Last I saw it was totaled. But that was some time back. I believe Amazon Prime Video had the documentary series on the history and ongoing efforts of Big Red and the team to compete in every type of motorsport out there.
God I remember watching the livestreams and watching big red run. But every time he pulled up chat all went "Stupid wing car!!!" And it was hilarious. The wing does look stupid, but function>looks so often. The wing is insane.

Are there rules to land speed racing in the unlimited class? Like size of tire how much fiberglass etc etc

I tell you what, people laugh and take the piss but there's a hell of a lot to be said for those big fixed wings we're starting to see more and more of lately. They make a big difference to stability and staying in a straight line. Anyone who knows anything about aerodynamics will tell you. It's just a matter of time before more and more racers catch on to just how much of a difference it actually makes.
