When Travis/Grog went into the pokeball and NAT20’d Kevdak while falling through the sky I swear I started to believe in the gods of dice.

There's been a lot of awesome natural 20's in Critical Role history but that was was SO GOOD. The party was probably going to get wiped and Grog had like...10 HP or something? Just a complete hail mary and by god it payed off.

Travis has THE BEST Storytelling Rolls. Grog was the epitome of that. So many epic, dramatic, and hilarious rolls that just worked perfect for his story and the story at large.

Knowing that three weeks have passed in the mortal realm while Keyleth and company were in the fae realm explains how Grog's strength has improved (and Pike's wound has healed).

The worst episode for Calvin to miss!! This is easily my favourite and it's a shame we don't get to see his reaction! Hope he is well soon!

I remember at some point Matt explains that if Grog had not gotten the final hit on Kevdak, the herd would not have stopped fighting. I love how there was a partial nod to this by "The fight ends when one of us dies", and it did when Grog killed Kevdak.

I liked how they foreshadowed Grog going in the trinket back when Vex tested it on Trinket. He said he was next and this episode we get the payoff!

Percy planting that gun on the herd members mouth and pulling the trigger is the most gangster, screw you, “No Mercy Percy” thing that’s happened in the series yet IMO. It’s SO excessively brutal, and so perfectly Percy.

That blew my mind I think I actually stood up at my computer and cheered 😄 I’m just saying, the herd member wasn’t a mini-boss the way Anders was where it was a personal story beat. This was just a random tough herd member that Percy was just like “ugggh you’ve taken three shots and haven’t dropped, now you’re just in my way” and then ball-gagged her with the last shot. An overkill to get rid of an inconvenience. No mercy 😝

She was a bullet sponge that wasn't going down. I feel like it was a measured response to someone who had both shoulders blown off and continued swinging a hammer at him.

13:14 There is definitely a scene in episode nine where they frame them side by side, with highlights on just the eyes and noses. Then there's the nearly identical color pallete. Nothing wasted, everything deliberate.❤

"I would like to rage." Such an iconic line from the live campaign, it was so cool to hear Grog say it here. Also, Scanlan learning who Kaylie is is one of my favorite moments from the stream. The cast just goes crazy while Sam is trying to understand and respond to what's happening.

I genuinely want Grog as a guest character in the next Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter game! And I want his finisher to be that axe chop from the sky with the moon behind him while he screams “I would like to RAAAAAAAAAAAGE!”

When Grog killed Kevdak, it happened exactly like in the game. Travis falling down from the neckless rolled reckless attack and the first was a one... The second was a nat 20 and he killed that son of a bitch by splitting his torso in half.

This is a VERY good episode! Shows exactly why Vox Machina is the best!

The simultaneous headbanging during the Kevdak fight tells me everything I need to know. They loved it.

Pike is about the size of a small child, true. But she's also wearing full plate mail Armor. So, a heavily armored toddler.

Pike may be small, but her armor weighs like 65lbs.

You cut out one of my favorite lines of this episode: Grog’s desperate “WHAT Strength? Can’t you see how weak I am?!?!”

It was so awesome to see Grog have this epic face off with Kevdak completing his arc. And the twist at the end with Scanalan is just perfect.The best episode of season 2

THE. BEST. EPISODE.

I love how this shows how Bardic Inspiration would appear in combat.

After you finish this season definitely react to the vids that compare the show to campaign. That way no risk of spoilers and you get some great moments

This episode of the actual campaign was so insane, too. Grog getting the kill after being Pokeball'd by Vex into the sky. Wild.

Seriously the best episode of the series, I’ve seen it a dozen times and there are still three points that make me cheer out loud.

Finally! The one I've been waiting for! FOR STRONGJAW!

In d&d terms (as this is a TLVM) it'd take about 11 cats to kill a brown bear, providing every attack hit and they got to go first in combat. The more you know 🌈🌟

TBF, Vax wasn't the only one dealing with death. His player, Liam, also just lost a family member and was very distraught over it. Everyone was very supportive as his grief affected his role play and helped him recover. He absolutely used these sessions as a coping mechanism, and I'm glad it worked.

Goliaths have distinct tattoos. The markings all over their bodies. Kevdak probably recognized Grog's tattoos.

This episode was my favorite of the season. They did a good job of bringing the fight to life. 22:18 you can find a good vid of the final moments by searching on YT for a video called The Kevdak Fight Conclusion.

😮‍💨 if we had a slow mo portion where his ear got shaved off then we see the huge explosion of dust caused by the impact when he was parting Kev dak down the middle

Season one episode ten was my favorite of that season. Season two episode ten was my favorite of this season. Really looking forward to season three episode ten. 😁

Love your reaction, but to the discussion about hold Pike at arm's length and whether Grog could do it or not. It might be hard for a human, but remember Grog is half giant. He can do it easy.

The original campaign is definately the best medium for the story but the issue is just how long it is and how much there is

Which is an excellent excuse for him to do or say something which SEEMS stupid, but when you think about it later ....

A medium size dog can weigh 80lbs and Pike has heavy armor on. She must be no less than 100lbs in total lol.

I think what youre forgettable is pyke is 35 pounds but shes also wearing full plate armour
