I Grow up in Dc and Disco Dan was the Nicest person ever he never got caught up in the Drama all he wanted to do is Tag his Name all over the City he was definitely a part of the movement ... the 80s culture ... Rest in Peace ... Dan

@ Marvette Lewis you are so right about Disco Dan being one of the nicest persons ever i met him in 1990 in the foggy bottom area. No one believed he was who he said he was until he wrote his name on a piece of paper since then we became friends and i lost contact with him in 1999. It breaks my heart to find out about his passing 3 years later... may here rest in peace.. gone but never forgotten.. maybe DC government would name a street after him (cool disco Dan way)

Yu could could hang out all nite in da hood or any street till 2-3 am & go home. When yu wake up & go around that same hood or street yu wood c his tag "Cool Disco Dan" & say "damn that wasn't here last nite when I was here". That's how "Cool Disco Dan" moved like a phantom or a ghost.. ahhh gotta love tha 80's tho

I grew up in DC and the surrounding areas. I'm so surprised that so many people are interested in the black history in DC.
