The Legend Of Barefoot Bandit: A Teenage Fugitive on the Run | Real Stories True Crime Documentary

Фильм және анимация

Colton Harris-Moore's superhuman ability to escape capture by stealing airplanes and living in the wilderness made him a modern day folk hero. Fusing documentary, graphic novel style animation, and dramatic recreations, the film contrasts the story of a real kid who fell into burglary to keep from starving with his mass media persona, The Barefoot Bandit. While telling Colt’s larger-than-life story, this film examines the public fascination with underdog anti-heroes and how fame becomes the kiss of death for these outlaws we root for.

I have a commercial pilot's license with an instrument rating. During primary flight training it took about 13 hours before I was performing good landings on my own. Flying a light plane is not difficult, but to read a book and then actually do it does indeed show a high level of ability. It's actually amazing.

this happened in my home state. it was all so surreal lol. this kid was a local legend to us. like a real life GTA Online character, personified. boats. planes. atm's. safes. to this day i genuinely believe this kid is some kind of savant or genius. because nobody at that age should have been THAT functional. the way he was terrorizing the local government and was able to elude them for as long as he did made him a folklore legend. don't really hear him mentioned anymore these days but goddamn, what a ride. i hope you're allright Colton.

It reminds me of the 30 for 30 "You Don't Know Bo" (About Bo Jackson). I know Im just an online guy, but if you havent seen it and you are a fan of this feel, I bet you "You Dont Know Bo" will be worth your time. The idea was to make if feel a bit like a comic book. You can clearly see the comic book story here while the real story is told if you look at it right. This documentary is UNBELIEVABLE... every once in a while you come across a channel where you can't wait to see the rest of the content- even fewer feature production like this for well over an hour. Well done by the creators. Well done.

When you hear about his upbringing anyone would feel bad for him. Even some people knew he was on the run and still helped him. But he was a loner who mainly did for himself. This kid must have been in amazing physical condition too. Lots of people are on the "run", but he was literally running a lot; running, climbing and jumping with relative ease. And he walks away from plane wrecks. A relisient character.

He practically turned himself in. The reason he ended up there was just to show all the searchers back home tbeybdidnt have a chance. That spot he chose to grassland his last plane was the furthest point he could choose from where he lived. There were no forests in the Bahamas to hide in anymore. No more airports to grab another plane. He was literally at the end of the line. At any other time this he run up to people and tell them who he was so he could be chased? No. Just the Bahamas because he wanted to be caught in one last chase. There's no where to hide in the Bahamas.
