Sir, a working man can’t afford that and your customer base certainly isn’t going to use ANY of the features that you’ve done to make that a working mans truck! Having said that you’ve done a tremendous job on it! Looks fantastic!

Contradiction in terms, first breath " This is a 4 hundred thousand dollar truck" Next breath describing the interior layout "This is a working man's truck“ Haha $400,000 Working man's truck! Actually it's a rich guys truck to give the illusion he is a working man!

My dad owned a 1948 Dodge PW. I can remember as a very young boy playing on it like it was my own jungle gym. I used to sit behind the drivers side headlamp with my legs stradelling on either side of the lamp and my little hands would slide over the teardrop lamps like it was my steering wheel. Dad's 48 had the power take off winch and he had a homemade snow plow attached to it for the heavy winters in Denver CO and Carson City NV. I was about 9 when Dad sold the truck so he could buy a 1973 Dodge PW Camper Special. The newer truck had the 360 cid engine, an 8,000 WARN winch, and Meyers snowplow. Dad put the new rig to heavy snowplow duty when we lived at Stateline NV at South Lake Tahoe in 1973.

Those are beautiful trucks... I want one.... unfortunately so does everyone else apparently, and I don’t have the money they do. But some day, I will run across one of these trucks sitting out in a field somewhere, but it,and fix it up. I don’t have the skill set to make it as pretty as these, but I can dang sure make it function as well. I figure that would be the motivation I needed to learn paint and body, and trim and upholstery work.

Beautiful truck. Good solid engineering. I would imagine that the compound turbo installation is a great deal cleaner than a single big turbo, due to the elimination of unburnt fuel discharge in the form of soot, as you press the accelerator.

We called that "Granny Gear" in the old '49 Ford F1 we used on my grandparents farm. It worked well when you were doing fencing. Load up the back end with fence posts, put in "super low or granny gear" and walk beside it, pulling posts out as you went.

Things have changed! The original Power Wagon cost $1,627 in 1946. A bit less than the Toyo 40x13.50r17 tires at $2,692 for the set. 🥴 Funny how the interior switches are described "for the working man" , yeah right. The guy that can afford a $400,000 toy truck is not exactly a blue collar worker doing his shift.

Steel toggle switches with a separate, "On" indicator light accompanied with tungsten bulb lighting, is more the flavour of the period

Jeremy, thanks for watching. Yes these start at 360K and go up from there. It's a massive amount of work. 300 hours of chassis fab, 800 coachbuilding, 800 body, 100 paint, 100 reassembly, 320 final assembly, interior, and about 150K or more in parts. These things are awesome, I just can't afford one. If I could, I would be all over it. For now, I will keep driving my original one! Flatheads forever!

That 4BT isn’t gonna last more than 150,000 miles pushed to 250hp and 600 lb/ft like that. They’re not a well balanced engine like the 6B is and even a 6B at 450 horse and 800 torque isn’t going to be a super long living engine, even getting 200k miles is wishful thinking.
