I literally bought a PS5 to play this remake and it’s future installments, I hadn’t bought a new console since the PS2. Got out of gaming. However, I’m addicted to FF7R. Your voice as Aerith is exactly how it sounded in my head as a kid reading the text in the PSX version. It’s amazing how perfect your casting was. The OG FFVII got me through a rough middle school. Thanks for being a part of this remake and allowing us to relive our childhoods. Great video!

Same here. I was in jr high and FF7 was my favorite game of all time. I stopped playing games in high school and when I heard they were remaking it I went out and bought a PS4. Now I’m deep into gaming again so much that I have all the systems and a PC but I can’t wait for part 2! Funny how much FF7 means to us that it single handedly got us all to go out and buy a PS. Lol I love it

I got ff7 on my Nintendo Switch and it became my favorite game of all time so I bought my ps5 (my first playstation) mainly to play the remake games too, lol. Super hyped!

I think he is trying to be encouraging, he is not exactly experienced in being comforting in the same way most people are.

23:00 I can relate Bri, "a hero lost" is one of my favorite songs of the entire FF7 remake. My daughter and I listen to this song on the soundtrack all the time, it's very soothing, especially how they integrate Tifa's theme into it.

"It was a close match." I often find intentionally shade from NPCs funny.

Another amazing episode of Yuffie’s adventure in Final Fantasy VII Remake! 1:41:04 this intro sequence for Yuffie is so over the top anime style and I absolutely love it! It reminds me of the Team Rocket intros from Pokémon! 😊💚🌼

It is a nice way to make an entrance and as for your comparisons, I still can't believe that those three haven't run out of material or ideas yet.

Yeah. Yuffie is 16. She's never had time to think about adult stuff because since childhood she's been too focused on restoring Wutai. I immediately love Sonan for being so cool here and just rolling with it instead of making her feel awkward.

As for Sonon, he did not appear in the original Final Fantasy VII, but I find it pretty cool that he was added into InterMission as a semi-playable character.

Nayo' voice actress is the same as Young Tifa ;-) She was so good they used her to voice Nayo :) You've doing great already ! If you want a tip, you should use synergi so Yuffie and Sononon coordinated their effort and buidl the stagger bar faster !

I've never been able to beat Ramuh without getting Sonon in the party first.

I absolutely love The Runaround, the music that plays all the way from the start of the factory section through the Levikron fight (appropriately titled “Good Morning, Levikron?”). I really hope Rebirth has some original tracks like that too in addition to favorites like Costa del Sol, Gold Saucer, Correl, and the Rufus Welcoming Ceremony. Also combat with Sonon and Yuffie is so much fun. I’m betting that this is how they’re going to handle having the other characters other than your three man party pitch in and help in combat rather than how it was handled with Red towards the end of base Remake.

The combat in the base game is my favorite combat system in any game I've played, and I didn't think it could get better in the DLC, but man I was wrong. It makes me so excited to see how the devs out do themselves in Rebirth. Yuffie's anime introduction is so extra and I love every second of it 😂

29:44 - Another interesting thing... In the original FFVII, the player didn't know anything about Barret's group being a "splinter cell". Playing through it the first time myself in 1997, I thought that Barret, Tifa, Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie WERE Avalanche. It wasn't until Remake that Barret or any others mentioned an "HQ" that was anything other than Tifa's Seventh Heaven bar! Although, I've heard tell of a mobile game called "Before Crisis", starring the Turks that deals with an Avalanche group before Barret joined them. Oh! Also of note: In Remake, Barret was swearing up and down that Avalanche had NOTHING to do with Wutai... and yet, known to Cloud and company, here are Yuffie and Sonon working with Avalanche, at a time when the players of the original game had no idea that Yuffie had ever been to Midgar - or that Sonon ever existed!

Haven't played the original, but it is possible that this version had that added in as an extra feature to better describe a terrorist organization which is how they are portrayed. As far as what Barret said, he was likely speaking for his particular branch of Avalanche although he might have thought that HQ not telling him meant his assertion was true. It seems that based on conversations in-game Barret's cell still gets info from HQ despite having split from them. I should also note that the in-game description says that the different cells work in their own ways, but they occasionally work together when it helps them towards their ultimate goal of Shinra's downfall. So, it is possible that only certain cells work with Wutai and others are in the dark.

Oh yea! I love your playthroughs. Yuffie is such a fun and goofy character. Also I thought she was pretty OP as well. Loved this game! Have Fun!😁

Respectfully, I am not sure you can say that the Barret/Tifa/etc. cell of Avalanche does care about collateral damage. Even if they did not intend to have the degree of destruction in Remake, Barret was TOTALLY fine with it. Remember his big speech at the beginning of chapter 2? Biggs talking about how "We always knew this was going to get messy" to rationalize stuff? Or that Barret still planned bombing of mako reactor 5 with NO changes to the plan after the destruction of Mako reactor 1?

Back in the days I looked at ALL the things on youtube about FF7. None of them showed me Tifa and Barret coming back. Its so beautiful to be ble to come back to Midgar and explore it anew.

@Strangle Rebel Gaming steal definitely is good. There are bosses that have weapons that can be stolen that you can’t get anywhere else or elixirs. Basic mobs it’s less important. I’m not sure if SE made weapons that can only be stolen in Intergrade but there sorta was in REMAKE Aerith’s staff in the train graveyard. It might be worth stealing from bosses. Enjoying the play through!

I'm wondering.....why no one uses Healing Materia's Regen during battles? Is it some kind of challenge/dare in game streams or is it making fighting too easy?

Although, I kind of wonder what would have happened if you had been able to summon Ramuh during the battle. 🙂 I'm also curious... What exactly does the Happy Turtle guy give you if you find the rest of the flyers?

Apparently, some kind of reward (I don't remember what exactly) and then upon recognizing that Yuffie is from Wutai he tells her that she is welcome at the Happy Turtle after her shell has seen more wear and tear (basically saying she is too young to drink there but she is welcome to stop by when she is old enough).

28:26 You know, listening to what you say this smaller group says that the splinter cell of Barret, Tifa, and the others not caring about collateral damage when they actually do, I believe Tifa doesn't want collateral damage. Whereas Barret doesn't seem to differentiate between someone working at Shinra just trying to get by and feed their family as compared with greedy suits.

There's very little doubt that Tifa really loves Cloud.

2:15 - Oops! But then again, it's really not all that common to fight against Ramuh throughout the Final Fantasy series. In III, he can be purchased from a shop. In IV, Rydia already has him when she's grown up (though he can be fought against in the GBA/PSP versions, and in The After Years. V was originally the first time he could be fought against, but we didn't know that until the PlayStation era! After that, he grants his power willingly (VI), or gives you a riddle quest (IX and XV), and in games like VIII, X, X-2, XIII-series, he doesn't even appear at all, being replaced by Quetzalcoatl or Ixion!

Every main (human) character in Final Fantasy basically falls under one of those class schemes, it's just after FF5 and T they stopped specifying and switching. In this game in particular Cloud/Warrior, Tifa/Monk, Aeris/W Mage, Sephiroth/Samurai and so on.

Also, Sonon is voiced by Aleks Le, who voices Zenitsu from Demon Slayer, which honestly blew my mind. That man has got RANGE, goddamn.

Brie, game voices are way too quiet compared to commentary. And I am not talking about the background NPC chatter. A problem most LPers seem to have for some reason. Edit: If you still have the original audio tracks you could always remux them with adjusted volume and reupload.

Hmm... pointers... I think you can do more elemental ninjitsu without retrieving the star if you do quick presses on square. I'm not sure what does that ground tremor, but it seems to call the star back. And, of course, synergized AoW hits harder, if Sonon has ATB too (L2 to synergize). Synergized limit break is also a thing.

It’s only on PS5, but you can play it on PC. Which is what I did, even though my laptop could barely handle the graphics. 😅

Unfortunately, Shinra does not exactly offer a way to fight them that will not have casualties or consequences. So, the question would become what other options they have since I am assuming that they cannot fight the organization head-on and organizing a revolution is probably not viable given how the people either believe Shinra's byline or just rely on them. It seems that this cell focuses on working with Wutai to steal materia, another cell (the one who acted as unintentional backup) attack in a more or less frontal assault and Barret chooses to go after the reactors. I hate to say it, but there is no method that is not going to cause collateral damage and casualties in the long run. The question then becomes how to go about things to ensure that such collateral damage and casualties are kept to a minimum as much as possible while still fighting Shinra.

The loading screen on Avalanche indicates that there are multiple cells with their own methods and members, but they all share the goal of destroying Shinra which is why they occasionally work together. So, it appears to be a loose set of groups who share a goal but have different ideas of how to go about it.

I found it to be inhibitive since Sonon's ATB doesn't fill as rapidly in Synergy mode.

I was able to beat Ramuh with just Yuffie, but that's 'cause I ran around the initial monster area for hours enjoying the combat & boxes, and was way over-leveled.

I get the feeling that it is more than mako poisoning, but at the same time being exposed to mako in the way that they were is probably not good for them. Even successful experiments bathing people in mako seem to have certain effects on them.
