On that ratcheting 15-N-1 there's usually a neutral setting that allows it to perform like a standard screwdriver.
I loved the Klein 11-in-1 tool...then the magnetic version came out and it's 110% mo betta. No longer do you have to hunt for your bits when you drop your screwdriver and it explodes apart like your guts after a bad food truck burrito.

I use the heavy duty 11in1. It is so much better than the standard 11in1. I always twist the dainty bit holders on the standard. I will get the magnetic, I hope they make it in heavy duty.

My favorite right now is the Milwaukee Electricians Multi Driver. It is the only one I have found that has the “Combi Tips”. Which combines a flat with a Robertsons, and flat. If you look at components in the US and Canada, they all now have a combination head which incorporates the Robertson required under the Canadian Codes, with the flat required under the American Codes. The combi bit, is the choice, because it actually fits the head of all the screws. Second, is the Ideal with the conduit reamer, and the thread chasers.

Good for you! My dad encouraged me to become an electrician back in the 1970s when women were rare (once again, lots of us during WWII). You have to pick and choose whom to learn from and this channel is an outstanding choice. I really like the emphasis on safety and leaving things in better condition than you found them. I also like Dustin's 'don't be that guy' attitude toward doing work the next tradesman can understand and cope with right out of the box. My parents are gone, I'm running the family firms now - GC, electric/HVAC and plumbing with my brothers. Something I learned as an apprentice has stood me well in hiring to this day: Dudes who have to prove their machismo are death (literally in our profession) on the job. If the guy has a mucho-macho attitude ('120V isn't enough to kill a real man, Dustin mentions that one at least every other video), I don't hire him. If he can't read, no job. Code changes all the time and frequently surprisingly in well-settled areas. You have to stay informed. Best of luck to you - This channel is an inspiration to all of us who strive to be better every day.

I did however learn a lot. I was on every kind of job from average service, to full on service changes, to a giant commercial job that I was a "lead" on. I was one of 5 guys and was my main leads second hand when our 2nd year wasn't around. You didn't talk about the reamer? I guess it's not much of a driver, but it took me way too long to realize it doubles as a flat head. Also, I have the Klein 15-in-1 (non-ratcheting) and I had the exact same thought about Jurassic Park. Every time I pick it up I have to open the end and spin it around a bit. :)

I mean.... the thing is designed really well 😂 gotta spin it a little. Klein 15-1 is awesome!
Thanks for these videos,I am a tool freak , used to be an Avionics installer and just watching this relaxes me.Thanks !!
I’m a purchasing agent at an electrical distributor and I use your videos to get an idea of what to stock. Really cool videos. Keep up the good work!
The nut driver comes in very handy during commercial remodels of older buildings. I've ran into one job where they seemed to have used every size nut to secure pipe, boxes, etc. The only down side I found about the driver is the weight that it adds to your belt and there have been times when you need the socket to be slightly deeper. Also it does become easier to pull apart once you break it in (or drop it a few times 😂)
on the ratcheting screwdriver i feel like if your reaching into a small space where you can only fit maybe one hand. it’ll help your precision and allow you to stay on the screw better because you don’t have to do too much adjusting for the next turn.
Can’t live without my 11n1 heavy duty and my stubby 6n1 in my pouch. The only thing I use more than that is my old pair of Klein lineman’s/electricians hammer.
I love multi tools when I’m checking out a job or fixing something quick but when working on a job I like to have my whole tool pouch close because I’ve found out that every tool has its purpose
By far my favorite and best multi tool I’ve used are the Knipex Installation pliers. Absolute game changer
Ive have multiples of these and always end up just using the nut driver parts of them. So I just got a dedicated multi nut driver version. Works great.
We stopped purchasing Klein 11 in 1 about 5 years ago due to too many small bits falling out while in back poclet. Hope they fixed that problem. Will never completely replace full size screwdrivers.
Great video. I will have to look into that multitool nut driver. Only thing you missed, I think, is the regular multi-tip stubby. I love that thing. I don't even carry any other stubby anymore.
The benefit of ratcheting screwdrivers for me in the low voltage industry, is it allows you to hold the screw in place (think flat screws) while holding the driver when resetting the hand position for the next twist. With a traditional driver, resetting the hand position for the next twist often ends in the driver slipping out of the slot. The increased handle size of the ratcheting driver I use is nice for my fat hands. Others might complain about the increased handle size.
The adjustable ones that hold bits in the back I like them best because they go right into an impact driver and they hold my bits in my tool pouch
I'd add the Klein 7-in-1 Flip Socket (32900-4 or 32900-5) to the list... it works with those adjustable length screwdrivers to make a nice all-in-one carry option. All three are also impact rated and the shaft can be used in your drill/driver. Another multitool screwdriver always in my bag... a Wiha 38051 insulated driver with bits.
The multi nut driver would be a great tool for a cable company line maintenance/construction worker. Many of the pole and strand mount hardware uses a number of different nutdrivers from 3/8 to 3/4.
I use my ratchet screwdriver when I had to work on a bunch of control house cabinets, or when I had to put back fluorescent lights back together and only had one hand free
The adjustable length screwdriver is cool. Got that one too, and it holds standard 1/4" bits. So replaced the ones I don't need (Robertson and Xeno) with Pozidriv. And you can remove the shaft and put it in your screwgun, it's actually rated to use it in an impact driver.
The magnetic one is my favorite. It’s my go to screwdriver
The impact nut driver they make is AMAZING. It essentially replaced my entire giant socket wrench set for my purposes and it fits in my pocket
The extended multi (6-in-1) works really good for contactors.
I used to carry a drill and an 11in1 with me for general stuff, but since that 14in1 came out I carry that, its stubby little brother, and my 12V impact since you can remove the shaft and put it in a driver.
10:12 one nice things about all Klein’s (well, mostly all, that is) multi drivers….can take bits out and move around to different drivers and setup “what ya like” best (or buy certain bits that didn’t get). Can ya tell I use all these as well😆👍🏻 Also, ever try Wera/Wiha multi drivers, cuz they pretty good too, imo, and have some use daily.
I carry the Heavy Duty in my bag. It's great! Southwire makes a pretty killer multi nut driver too
The difficulty of getting some of screwdrivers apart is no joke. The day after I got my 11 in 1 magnetic Klein there was one point I literally could not get the big piece out of the handle.
Working in the marine industry, I can't tell you how many 11 in 1 bits I've lost in the bilge. Fortunately, they're easy to replace. Thanks for the video 👍
@redbeardedalaskaman1237

Thats why i have the magnetic 11in1 so that if i lose one of the original bits I can replace it with a regular one and it won't fall out even though it doesn't have the ball
That nut driver is huge. A coworker has one. It's a good idea to throw in a bag for just in case I guess. I mainly use 1/4 and 5/16. Klein has a nut driver with just those 2. That's the one I carry. As rare as the others are I carry small impact nut drivers and just pop them in when needed
I’d like to see them switch to magnet bit holders for the bit storage in the handle.
I’m a fan of the combo head on the ratcheting 15 in 1 screwdriver.
I like using the klein 6 in 1 extended multi bit screwdriver.. I also have an Ideal brand 6in1 but its not as long as the klein version.. I like using them to wire up panels because they have 1/4 and 3/16 flat head and also Phillips 1, 2.. with 5/16 and 1/4 nutdriver.. klein is always the best buy imo.. I have everything klein in my tool bag..
@notsure7874

I don't like the ergonomics of klein screwdrivers, but you can get a whole lot of torque on them. The ideal is a good driver, feels great in the hand - a little harder to get a ton of torque on than the klein. The biggest turn-off to the klein, was back in the day it was a 5 in 1 and lacked a 1/4" nut driver.
They also have a slot/Phillips pocket screwdriver that’s pretty handy
thanks dustin! found some new info on this one, great stuff
So I have an 11 in 1 sitting in my vehicle cupholder right now 🤣 Like you I prefer the extended reach model of their screwdriver because I found the shorter one wouldn’t go into breakers fairly consistently. So I was glad when they came out with the longer bit version. I really do like my multinut driver though, but it hasn’t convinced me to take all my long shaft nut drivers out of my bag. I still carry a 1/4” and a 5/16” extra long shaft nut driver because sometimes this multi tool won’t reach into small spaces that I need to get into so you need the longer reach and it’s generally on the smaller fasteners. I also keep a drillbit nut driver for my impact 1/4-3/8” in my bag all the time because I don’t want to dig one out. I still carry a large flat head demolition driver with a metal but cap for just beating on stuff and it’s not even a fancy brand, I think it’s just dewalt... but you always need a tool like that to keep from tearing up the good ones. As for my stubby, I have a teeny tiny little craftsman model that’s nothing more than an knurled piece of aluminum with a quarter inch driver hole in the middle so you can put a bbit in there or an extension. It will make a stubby that is maybe an inch or so long if you just put a little small bit. I really like it and it doesn’t weigh hardly anything. You just have to try hard not to lose it.
The adjustable shank is impact rated. The automotive Megapro ratcheting driver is nice takes 1/4 in bits
Great info mini review. Thanks
There is some cook Klein multibit tools - thanks for the info.
Love this stuff. You're killing it
I use the Stanley Fatmax 7 in 1. It's a six in 1 with notches where the what goes on to drive books and such.
They have the stubby with phillips and slotted tips. That one have save me when it came to tight tight spaces hehe.
11:!5 Dustin will have probably figured it out by now, but those adjustible-length bits can probably be used in place of the magnetic bit holder. Klein makes enough bits these days that I wouldn't be surprised if they had adjustable length-bits in a kit you can purchase as replacement parts for other screw drivers.
I never saw you mention the reamer driver you had sitting there, I love my drill version of that one.
Excuse the "you failed to mention comment"... just meant it needed to be mentioned.. you didnt fail.... thanks for your channel, its great!!!
Love this video sir I have the 11-in-1 screwdriver and 7-in-1 nut driver and they are handy and awesome tools for what they are.
Thanks!
Will you be talking about the reamer in part 2? It's been incredibly useful for me but I had it forever before realizing the end worked amazingly on set screws
Was gonna make a just the tip joke, but the other electricians have it handled lol
I love the Klein multi's!
I have the extendable driver. It seems as if they are able to be used in an impact driver as well. Have you to test this myself yet though.
klein needs to make more screwdrivers with the safety/receptacle tip, itd be great if there was an insulated one for doing outlets live. great vid i dont have to go and buy all these now to see what theyre like lol

They actually do make insulated screw drivers, get ready to cough up a lung and kidney for a set though. Everyone I know that uses Klein screwdrivers has a different brand for their insulated screw drivers,
Neat video. You need to add a drop or two of oil to the ball bearings to free them up.
The 14 in 1 is so dope, best 20$ I've spent in a long time
That adjustable screw driver can be used in a impact as well
Yooo how did you forget the reamer?? Also I work with a lot of explosion proof/rigid and I would love to see a video on the applications and just explaining how they work! Awesome videos in all man!!
Remove the torx bits and small Phillips/flat bit from Klein 11 and 1 and replace with a tap so you will have Phillips, flat, 2 sizes of square tip, and tap all in one hand, along with the couple of sizes of but driver that it provides
Awesome thanks again
Love new content. Thanks.
The extended reach driver is the way to go. The standard reach driver is like using a child’s toy after working with the extended reach.
only multi tool i use is the nut driver but all the screwdrivers and pliers i keep them single tool
All those drivers and no love for Kleins new 8-in-1 insulated screwdriver? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE mine.
I love your channel do a two part video on push start and stop motor video and two part video occupancy sensor control light with a switch
Have you tried the Milwaukee 9in1? I like the 3" long bits as they can reach into tight spots better than the 1/4" bit shaft.
Everything Kline makes is so badass!
The 15-1 adjustable length bits always fall out when i open it up to switch out. If those clips were even just a little bit stronger i would use the hell out of it but my 11-1 is still my baby. Cheers from NC!
Have you tried the new version of the nut driver? It's way slimmer and not as heavy. Pros and cons with it of course.
13:05 My multi nut driver (same one you have Dustin) does not “come apart” that hard. I’m thinking the QC is off a bit on some of their tools. Now the Mag 11-in-1, yeah….that’s a pain to remove bits. Or maybe, I’ve broken in my nut driver cuz use so much 🤔
Sing it loud , Brother , I’ve been into Multi stuff since 84” ! As far as drivers are concerned , you need multi’s in standard length , Stubby , and VDE ! I also like pliers with multi capability ! You can not believe the flak I caught back in the day. I learned Ergonomics in a hard School , Military & Law Enforcement !

Thoughts on electric screwdrivers? Like the dewalt gyro or the Hitachi/metabo hpt
I have the 11 in 1 and don't care for it much, especially the square bits as they get stuck in the screws and pull out of the driver. Probably the magnetic would be better in this situation. Still I'm so used to just the regular screw drivers because it's so easy to grab and not having to swap bits all the time. That's just my opinion. But that 11 in 1 is nice for taking in attics because it's all there.
I work for the guy that invented the multi screwdriver.he invented it when he was 12 years old in and then he sold it to hardware Hank and now they’re Everywhere. The original prototype he had is A drilled out file Handle with two screwdrivers welded together end to end. it’s up in the front entrance in a display case.
About not having torx in tbe stubby you could just use a normal tip for a drill
a buddy of minr brought in a Wera multi driver like the one at the 4 min mark. The Jurassic park scene was my 1st thought aswell. I guess great minds think alike lol

6/32 and 8/32 Klein Tap multie tool!
I started using magnetic driver bits when I started doing ductwork in new construction in 2012 Since then non-magnetic driver bits, especially for drill drivers/impact drivers, goes into the scrap metal bin JK but really, how irritating is it to try and balance a duct trunk above your head in one hand, holding an impact driver in the other hand, on an 8' ladder, to have the screw fall off the driver bit just as you get ready to drive it in
What do you think about Boulder bags Dustin do you think you would be able to do a review on their tool belts
Do a milwaukee multitool vs klein multitool!!
What size drivers fits over a 6-32 nut and a 8-32 nut?

Love the bit storage in the handle! I hope that becomes standard on all drivers going forward.
Yo notification gang! Love it man
I prefer the old style multi nut driver, it just has 3/8, 5/16/, 1/4, and 11/32 but it’s no larger than a 11 in 1. I’m also really liking the multi-tap driver.
