I need more high end microwave reviews. There are alot for different prices but there is not enough info why it's better.

It’s nice to see microwaves being tested without being thrown off the top of a building or run over by a 4x4.😆😆

Beware!....Newbies may initially love the 4-1 Panasonic combi/steam oven and dash off rave reviews, but give it a few months and you may change your opinion. (maybe ditto any steam oven?) When you think about it, the steam function achieves nothing v useful....in fact it can be a short to medium term liability. Essentially the inner cabinet/door just creates an airtight container for the steam. The only thing you're interested in is steaming the food, not the compartment, container or plate. Steam inevitably creates moisture on the inner cabinet surfaces which condenses and liquifies as it cools and blocks your view thru the window while its cooking. It also leaves a puddle in the bottom of the oven which needs mopping up or it causes rust and paint flaking, and permeates the electronics (probably via the fan unit or any other defective seal) causing short circuits and customer disappointment/high repair costs.........a common set of complaints on the non panasonic reviews. In reality you're far better off using an ordinary microwave and putting the food in a container with a teaspoon of water and tightly covering with CLING FILM ! This ensures that just your food gets steamed without causing any cabinet condensation, clean-up, rusting or leaks into electronics, high repair costs/frustrations, low downtime and longer product lifespan .....happy customer.! Selling out £450 probably leaves you with a now mostly redundant existing microwave and convection oven that you already owned before buying this 4-1 (now only 2-1 useful !) headache gizmo. In the US Panasonic offer a 7-1 which is far more useful. It does Air frying, bread/cake making, yoghurt making, slow cooking, defrosting, baby bottle sterilising, toasting PLUS all the 4-1 features provided by this machine. I think it also has a rotisserie and air fry chip basket. Every single review gives it 5*. Unfortunately, Panasonic dont offer this model in UK, in fact they don't offer ANY Air Fryers in UK. In my opinion, and many others if you bother to search, there are far better cookers out there for far less than £450, than this badly thought through, designed, manufactured and much criticised product.

I just had to throw away my steam microwave for this reason, 3 years from new yet covered in rust and I never even used the steamer function!

I think a professional chef isn't the best person to ask for opinions on a home cooking device. He has a completely different vantage point on cooking than a home chef who also has to work and possibly wrangle kids.

I find it just right to have them do a chef do that. Not everybody has kods around all of the time but everybody, ok, I take it back, well, some people appreciate food quality and won't use devices that deteriorate it. I want a device for making food good. If want it lazy and fast I just eat things raw and cold

Stop using microwave ovens. Did you know that microwaves are what microwave ovens make and not what the ovens are?

the scientist that came up with the idea for the microwave oven is said to have had a chocolate bar melted by microwaves from equipment in his lab.... youre telling me he was fine and dandy exposed to enough microwaves to melt food in his shirt pocket.. but the home microwave that has over 50 years of advancements still isnt safe for home use? i guess the frogs are gay, the water poison, the wall clock is bugged by cia, and ill be dead by sunset if i drink from a plastic bottle too
