Lt. Zabel, the commander of a German Tiger I at Kursk, was hit 252 times, mostly by small-caliber anti-tank guns and anti-tank rifles .The AT rifle should do no damage to the heavy tanks front or side armor , the way soviets used them was shooting the tanks tracks which was very very difficult to do .The AT rifles were used mainly against light tanks or transport vehicle and using them against heavy tanks was suicidal but not unheard of .

Actually they were trained to shoot the vision slits, driver ports, side armor of panzer IVs, side turrets, also the drive wheels, but yes they did use them on tigers, just the round would never do penetrate the main armor its self, side, rear, front.

That event happened months before Kursk and far away. I have no idea why people keep saying it was at Kursk.

I've never seen a game replicate so well what it's like to break down in a tank on a training exercise and wonder where the hell the mechanics are to help you out.

Can not confirm. i survived 2 shots from a KV-2 in a Stug III F. the first ghost shelled and the second was an HE that hit my roof and i still somehow survived.

It was actually a test drive in the KV-2. I was at point blank range and hit the commander in the face. He somehow survived and was not eve injured. I’ve also had my KV-2 shot ricochet off of a puma.

Stalingrad is the best map but it's a laggy mess and they acknowledged that on release, so it's being worked on at least

God from when is IS1 capable of loading a f*cking 122mm gun in 6 seconds. That round weighs like 40kg. The Ivan loader must have bicepses so big that no other crewmembers can fit into the tank.

Well, first off, the IS-1 isn't equipped with a 122mm cannon, that's the IS-2. the gun equipped to the IS-1 is an 85mm cannon, I believe the same one as on the T-34-85, if not a similar one

@@stevegoesrogue Both IS1 and IS2 are equipped with a 122mm gun. To be precise it was equipped with the A19 gun. I think you made a mistake. There was an IS tank that used the 85mm gun, but it wasn't the IS 1, it was called IS 85 and it was produced even before IS 1.

@@stevegoesrogue KV 85 had an IS turret, but a KV1S chassis. IS 85 had the same trret as KV 85 but it had a chassis similar to the one that IS 1 and IS 2 had.

I've been playing with hell out of this game the new maps are a nightmare the amount of flat areas are insane you get and good MG nest set up and only armor will be able to drive you out

IS 1 is so strong in this game phly I went one game in one and just bounced 76m and 88m shots all game while 1-2 shells taking out tigers and one shot on panthers, the 122m is op lol
