Been following along since early in your build. Great Build. I'm getting ready to start major surgery on my 98 TJ. I used several coats of a heavy Zinc based primer on the underside of my old 1970's muscle car. 20 years later it still has not rusted. I wish you would have used NH oil undercoating, but you can spray it after the fact. That stuff will creep into all the body lap joints and kill rust forever. It never really hardens they describe it as it flows into all the crack and crevices. I just sprayed that under my E350 Superduty 4x4 Van and so far it has worked perfectly. Very easy to touch up after trail use.

I prefer not to use coating oil because Im always working on something and i do not want to work in a slimy dirty environment! On a daily driver i would consider it but it doesn't make much sense on a toy.

Congratulations again on an amazing build, been watching diligently. After you've completed your epoxy paint/steel- it etc. I'd advise you to coat it in wool wax/fluid film or lately I've heard good things about surface shield. I'm from the north and these products have saved frames and easier to remove bolts for repairs.

Ive thought about that but I prefer to keep it clean and ill make sure to clean every nook thoroughly. I can just imagine the amount of dirt and grime build up that would come along with those oil coatings.

When you measure for spring rates, make sure you let it rest with the wheels and tires on so it has a chance to spread.
