Just the comment that the hands go straight back and through and the slight arc is created by the putter geometry was big for me!!🙌🏻🙌🏻

more putts are missed by hitting the ball and stopping the club, or the ball hypnotizing the player and then the movement of the club takes the attention and makes people flinch like they just woke up from a dream. Regardless of set up the club has to pass thru the ball like it's a GHOST, or the push pull realigns the club face. over thinking will miss a putt, so will over concentrating. Pass the club thru the ball as if the ball is a ghost.

Any changes to ball position if you are a left eye dominant player whos right handed? If ball position isn't under my left eye I have trouble seeing the line. Thanks!

@@Chris_Traynor if you ask me we all have different postures and stances no matter what we are trying to do. find your natural stance then put the ball where ever in your arch works best for you. the ball is a ghost.

Really great stuff. Thanks for posting this video 👍🏻
I rewatched this video several times today, and something you said just clicked! Best coach ever on youtube, thank you!
Excellent instruction on putting! I have tried to adopt a broom putter/putting technique but I have been having difficulty of late. Your instruction has convinced me to go back to my normal conventional putter. Thank you.
What a tutorial , I´m amazed!!! Never have had such clarity and solidity in the process of putting. You are unique in your communication. Congratulations, best tutorial of all that I´ve seen.
Absolutely brilliant, what a way to keep it simple, thank you for these tips, I’ve been struggling really badly recently and this now gives me some hope.
Thanks very much for the upload It's easily the best putter instruction on KZread. Cant wait to put it into practice and hit the greens!
The arms tucked in has been very big key for me and like you said, it stabilizes you and ensures no unnecessary movements through the putt. I was actually doing this on the range this morning.

Yep. It's like a breakthru for me.
I use this drill now and I won't go back to another style. I'm mad nobody told me about this when I started years ago. Mr. Porzak is my teaching hero. He has fixed so many of my mistakes. He's my only instructor now online.
This was and is the best putting lesson that actually takes you from poor execution to doing it right. You are not going to sink every putt, but you are going to sink more than you would have without this lesson. Basics that make sense, but you have to practice the steps and remember them on the course when you are out there trying to sink a 8 footer or a 40 footer. It will make a difference in your mental and physical set-up! Great video that has made me a better putter. And I have watched a lot of instructional putting videos. Thanks!!!
This is the missing piece in lowering my handicap. Started at 22.5 this year, goal is 15. Currently 17.2. Thanks for the great tips! Gonna try it tomorrow in the golf scramble!
Excellent putting video. This teaches all the important lessons to becoming a good putter. Sir you are a great teacher, Thanks.
The whole process is key! Awsome!! Thank you, you are unbelievable, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I improved my puttting by 9 strokes from my last game on your fantastic and easy to follow video. And I left a few out there. Honestly, I told my golfing friends before we teed off I was changing my putting technique after viewing this video and by the end of the round they said you better send us the link. I've never had so many one putts in my life.

This is one of the best golf videos I've ever seen. You can't putt well unless you start with the right set up. Solid gold.
Thanks for this video. I've been struggling with putting lately and this was exactly what I needed to get back on track! Rotate, tuck and tilt is genius. I spent 3 hours on the green today getting my set-up and stroke right. Should be helpful this weekend at a tournament.

Fantastic putting lessons, thank you very very much.
This video is AWESOME!!!! I’ve watched a TON of KZread golf videos and this one really produces results!!! This shaved 3-5 strokes off my score instantly! My favorite tip? The elbows locked into my sides! I now make a lot more 8-12’ putts and my misses are just off! Thanks for the lesson.

Those darn misses. You're not missing them by much. Traced all the way back to impact its like you're off just by one one ten thousandeth of an inch so don't be too hard on yourself for missing. I mean, don't go home and kick the dog over it. Sooner or later, those putts will begin to find there way home, just like your dog would because he doesn't want to not see you again. Every time you stand over your putts, just think of your smoochy poochy, he's coming home to see you and as a result into the cup those putts go, homeward bound. Kerplunk!!!
Man you are so good, and one of the best communicators of golf instruction on YT.

Some great tips. I've seen a noticeable improvement in my putting. Elbows in was key.
It's a part of my game I don't practice enough. It gets away from you fast. Thank you for this. Especially getting the elbows in front of your body.
BOOM! Another mic drop video! Only discovered you a couple of weeks ago and can’t emphasise enough how much my game has improved following your channel … I do have it playing most of the day! A whole-hearted thanks from the UK.

I'm currently in the PGM and I definitely want to go the teaching route. I've been studying under instructors in the Met Section and I have a great mentor. Your videos is a great example of someone with solid accurate information with great delivery. You deserve a million subs.

LETS GO!
Thank you for posting this. I applied this simple, straight-forward lesson on the course and have about dropped six putting strokes per round. I used to struggle with 3 and 4 footers in pressure situations and missed them about half of the time. Since applying this lesson my stoke is pure and I'm making most putts from 6 feet or less. Having my elbows in the position you suggest has not only caused my putting stroke to be on line every time, it's also helped me with distance control. So long three putts! Thank you very much for posting this lesson.
Nailed it, another great piece.
Thanks for this! Really changed my putting stroke.. always thought the elbows were supposed to be on the sides but nope! No wonder I couldn't keep it consistent.. game changer! Literally... thanks KZread for recommending this video

Outstanding ideas thank you.
This is a great video!
excellent video. Thank you
Literally listen to this everyday when I start my putting practice
I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you 👍 I loved this video when I watched it yesterday and so today I practiced for two hours on the putting green before my round, It was an instant success, amazing results straight away, I putted with such confidence, I have played golf for over 40 years since I was 7 years old, although I play off a single figure handicap putting has always been the weakest part of my game, but I left the golf course today with such positivity about how my game will improve so much if I continue to use your ideas. If I lived in America I would track you down and buy you a beer, but England is a little to far to come from just to buy you a beer and shake your hand. But I do want you to know..... Your an absolute f@#king LEGEND 👊

Good video but you might also want to think about a couple of things I've learned in 60 years. The installation of the putter grip is VERY, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT. Most grips have a flat spot which goes on "top". But, what is the top? If the grip installer misses it by .5 degrees, the user is automatically going to have trouble. I honestly believe some of the pros we watch on TV, who used to putt lights out and then suddenly couldn't sink a putt had their grip changed...and it wasn't on EXACTLY CORRECT like the old one. The second thing you might want to think about is "why right handed golfers miss to the right" when they are under pressure. Lefties miss left. Our natural inclination is to direct the palm of our right hand AT THE HOLE. This puts the putter blade several inches to the right. We do this because we stand to the side of the ball and that is unnatural for most people. The HANDS NEED TO TRACK SOMEWHAT TO THE LEFT OF THE HOLE during the stroke. Each person has to figure that distance out for himself or herself. I've been teaching for years and watching PRO GOLF on TV for six decades. How many times have we seen a seasoned pro "choke" and leave a very short putt out to the right? Again, the putter shaft is on an angle. The head of the putter is not directly UNDER OUR HANDS. This is confusing and weird for many golfers. So, they instinctively don't trust their stroke and they make THEIR HANDS GO TOWARD THE HOLE AND NOT TO THE LEFT OF THE HOLE. I'm betting if you try these two tips, you will find out something you never thought was possible. Go ahead and install a new grip on a putter and make sure it's not quite correct..just by a little. You'll then understand. If you have a student who can't seem to make a straight in four footer, talk about where is hands have to track. Have him pick a small target that is a few inches left of the hole and ask him to make his right hand go toward that target on the left and see what happens. The one last suggestion is to have your students not try to sink putts into the hole. Have them pick a spot on the ground 12" behind the hole and focus on that spot, not the hole. Have them try TO STOP THE BALL EXACTLY ON THAT SPOT BEHIND THE HOLE. NO FURTHER. NOT SHORTER. Putting is all about where the ball stops rolling.and if the hole happens to be the way, the ball falls into the hole. Distance is 75% of putting. It's where the ball stops rolling. Lay a string on the green that is perpendicular to the line of the putt. Have your studen try some ten footers. The goal is to STOP THE BALL ON EXACTLY ON THE STRING.

Patrick Cantlay had his grip installed 1 degree closed or open, can't remember which one, but I was surprised to hear that
Wow, thanks 😊
Best putting lesson on KZread!
Pure Gold almost like stealing from the guys that charge $300 an hour.
Easily the best putting video I have ever watched - thank you. Only question I have is if you bend from the waist and you are too far forward or too far back how do you like to see the player adjust? I tend to walk into the shot as suggested and the ball is lined up with the heel of the putter.
very very helpful for my putting thx x100 times
He is spot on for delofting
Great video. I would like to have seen you talk about the stroke. Is the stroke in the arms or the torso? Thanks
I learned the putting details well. I'll keep practicing over and over to make it mine. This is the best lesson.

Great lesson. Your eyes can be slightly inside the line. Many of the greatest putters ever were about 1” inside. A little technical. However, great information. Shoulders not open. Must be square. Stance open ok.
I'm already consistent , 3 putts all the time what ever the distance , will see this ☀️go for 2 putts lol
I like this one. 👏👏👏👍
Good job The ball spin is needed always Because the green conditions are different Green grass grows in different directions, some have sand,or even small stones etc With the ball spinning problems solve
