So much to dissect in this one…you guys outdid yourselves telling the incredible story. I had no idea Taylor willing withdrew to ensure Jake was able to play, my opinion of Taylor got so much higher knowing how selfless he was. And the backstory of Tri and just who he is as a person, absolutely is the perfect person for this situation…and Jake to be the steady ship through all these waves and provide what he’s providing. This is truly the definition of making the most of a crappy situation and controlling what you can control. And great job you guys bringing the light to this situation in a way that shows just how deep the connection is

Crying after jake said his position is Taylor’s partner 😭😭 Go USA~~~

These guys don't just play beach volley, but teach us, our kids and the next generations on how to show compassion, love, respect and brotherly affection to everyone, even to our oppoents on the other side of the court . I'm from Europe and I want this USA team to win the GOLD medal. Period. They are the nicest athletes I've I ever known. Huge respect. (Write this story in a book, it'll become a best seller, promise.)

Honestly, this sport and its players warm my heart. You guys are so relatable and so dedicated to the sport you love just like all of us. I so wish Taylor would have had a chance to compete, but his selflessness will forever be remembered and recognized.

holy crap this made me cry. Incredible story. I've never seen Jake Gibb nor Tri Bourne play cause I stopped watching beach, but this makes me want to go back to supporting men on the sand!

Watched Gibb/Bourne live and the chemistry felt palpable! Can’t wait for tonight!

I was extremely sad when I heard the news about Taylor but of course he’s a MONSTER and got through it making really brave decisions, I wish the best for Taylor and I wish him luck in the Finals at the next Olympics as for Tri and Gibb, Go get one for the squad!

As an aussie after watching this after seeing how well they played against the Switz, I'm so keen to see them give it everything they have! Also Gibb at the end made me tear up....

This was just a goosebump story coming from a huge volleyball fan. To begin with Jake Gibb is at an age where most would be a coach or spectator and he proves us wrong. And for Taylor to be teamed up with such a guy as Jake is like Kobe being teamed up with MJ. It’s insane. Gibb is an absolute legend. So unfortunate for Taylor but he has a guy that is perfect for the job. Especially because they are good friends. I say this all the time. Things happen for a reason. Especially the good. This was destiny. Unfortunate destiny but this was a calling. What would be an absolutely insane is that they come out with gold. I am watching and supporting a 100%.

As if we needed more motivation to root for these 3... Jake becoming an Olympian again at his age is so inspirational to folks bout to turn 40 to stay in shape and just keep enjoying the game. And Taylor is just Taylor. When I heard Taylor was out I thought about not watching a single game. Glad this strong group of friends had a better, inspirational way of handling disappointment. Awesome how well they meshed all while winning two games. Cherif / Ahmed will be an interesting and tough test. Supporting from 🇨🇭 ! Edit: had to edit this one cause I forgot to say great storytelling !! Shouldn't take great video content for granted !!

This is your best video by far. Like most, I did not know Taylor willingly withdrew rather than risk Jake not being able to play. This is such a good story for all young athletes to hear. Self sacrifice for the team and being part of the team without being able to play. More young athletes could benefit from Taylor's dedication. I actively rooted against Jake Gibb his entire career until he paired with Taylor. I will be rooting for Jake to finally get his gold and make this amazing story complete.

With Norway struggeling i can't remember an olympic Tournament that seemed more Open to who can win than this one. Probably 70% of the Teams have a case for at least winning a medal.
