Yes indeed, but...sadly that isn't how it always goes...

Some of my Family has Married into the great "Navajo Nation" my daughter being on of them. They are a kind, loving people I'm proud to call family. This song touches the very fibers of my soul.

So beautiful, haunting....sadness for the loss of so many native Americans and their lives and lands....tears fall for the injustices of man 😢

The actual name of this music is The Gael. It was written by Dougie Maclean, a Scot about 2 years before the movie, "The Last of the Mohicans" came out. Trevor Jones scored the music for the movie and I've never heard of that Randy guy. The important name to remember Dougie Maclean a well known Scottish musician and composer. Having said all this, I still like this arrangement.

Yes! the Native versions of this song are the best, it just sounds more spiritual its those flutes and Panflutes. The Gael sounds good but it sounds like something you hear in every action movie. Simon & Garfunkel did a cover of a Native andean song called El Condor Pasa, which is good but not as good as El Dorado's condor pasa version which i consider the best version.
