An absolute legend. Atta Fareed sahab is synonymous with the best part of Nusrat Era 🙏 Atta Fareed sahab was the only one who actually was in the same class as NFK despite his unique style

Those were the days when these legend's used to perform in London in 80s and 90s with legend of legend nusrat fathe and group never to be forgotten watched them live so many times

Al Hamdulillahi MashaAllah.. I am very happy to learn that a member of the nusrat team is alive...he plays the harmonium very well with a nice voice.. he deserves great honours... We pray to Allah that he may live long and healthy.... Thank you for sharing... From Algeria...

Aaj mujhey Ustad Atta Fareed key sahibzaday Kalay Khan Bhag say call par baat hui. Meray chota Bahie Dr. Rizwan Khan bhi meri trah Qawaali key shaiq hein or un ki ma'rfat baat ho gaie. Kal din main Ustad Sahib say baat ho gi to bachpan ki haseen yadain taza ho jain gi.

Thank you so much for posting this interview. Indeed. Following NFAK sahab's early performances and the meteoric rise of his fame in the world of qawalis, one could never ever fail to notice the immensely monumental contribution of Atta Fareed sahab's vocal and instrumental prowess that stamped the supreme standard of performance offered by the team. It was so disheartening to find him missing from the team all of a sudden. I was always intrigued to know if this was due to some internal politics within the team (also that the elder brother of NFAK's team had left the group around that time). Its thus, very comforting, to be able to listen to the parts of this story from the great performer Janab Fareed himself. Once again, thanks my friend ! 🙏

I think some of the most iconic Nusrat performances are with Atta Fareed sahib on second harmonium in the late 1980's

We tried to interview him since 2018! He is fully dedicated to the Baba Farid shrine in PakPattan and rarely travels. We literally met him on our final day in Pakistan. Our film crew had disbanded and returned to Islamabad. Hence this entire interview was shot with a single GoPro camera! If we return to Pakistan, we will do another interview of Ustad Atta Fareed Bhag with better equipment.
