Hi girls yoga meditation is designed to strengthen the spine. I could never sit on a stool for more than 5 minutes. Since doing 21 min meditation sitting upright on the floor I can sit 3 hours on a stool no problem. Don’t use those other things you mention to help posture as they actually weaken not strengthen you. According to Sadhguru a master yogi the most important thing is to strengthen the spine. Not just so you can sit on a stool or stop getting back aches but because it helps you cope in life. You have heard the term ‘she is spineless’ meaning weak in coping with life. Yoga meditation makes the spine strong and makes you cope with life easily.
