steph let me help you HOW TO MAKE AN ICED LATTE LIKE A BARISTA: 1. put your espresso in at the bottom 2. add flavoring and stir so it is melted by the espresso 3. add your milk and leave room at the top for ice (so it doesn’t get watered down) 4. add ice and stir!

Hi Steph :) I worked at a coffee shop over the summer and made a bunch of lattes and I just wanted to give you a tip for your flavored lattes. Add how ever many shots of flavor into your espresso cup/mug so that the espresso shot and flavor mix well together. After you add the milk to your cup, your coffee is directly flavored, making the flavor stronger and better lasting! Hope this makes sense, sending you all the blessing for your move

Steph I recommend joining any club like yoga or any other activities as it helps you get friends who enjoy the same activity as you. I understand how lonely it gets having no friends I felt the same way but joining an activity class helped me a lot as l get to meet people. Rooting for you and so happy to be part of your journey

Steph, firstly congrats on the new move and apt, so exciting! Next, as a young woman living alone in city where you know no one, please put safety above all!M 1. Buy a device to block your apt door from opening. Don’t rely exclusively on locks! 2. Try not to go out too much at nights until you are familiar with area 3. Always and I mean always look at your surroundings! Make sure no one is directly behind you when walking. Even in Apartment complexes look around who is around you. 4. Carry self defense like pepper spray and know how to use. 5. Make sure have roadside assistance 6. Have fun and enjoy your new adventure ❤

I’ve been wanting to move alone to a new state so bad for the last two years. And seeing Steph do it and being so happy makes me want to cry. I’m so happy and proud of her. I just feel so stuck bc I know I can’t move anytime soon. I wish you all the good juju in the world Steph!!

Steph I always love seeing your videos 💖 I'm in a similar stage in my life so thank you for sharing your journey through all this. And from my few years of barista-ing here is some of my basic tips for making your latte! (I'm not a fancy barista by any means so fellow baristas out there please feel free to add or correct). For oat milks look for one that says it's a barista oat milk as they typically have slightly different ingredients so that they can foam better. Where I worked we used the Pacific Foods oat milk which comes in a little carton. As for using an espresso machine, you want to make sure you don't overfill the portafilter (which is the thing you're putting the espresso grounds in) so that when you tamp it down it has a little bit of room at the top. And don't be afraid to put a a bit of pressure into it when you're tamping it down. Also I'm not sure what kind of espresso machine you have, but the shot should take around 25-30 seconds when you pull it. If it is meant to stop on its own but it's going for too long it usually means you either overfilled your portafilter or tamped it too hard. Lastly for building your iced latte I recommend mixing your syrups straight into the espresso and then adding your milk and ice on top of that! It will help the syrup to melt and mix better into your latte 😊💕 Sorry if that explanation was a bit overwhelming. Again I'm definitely not a full on professional barista by any means, but I hope this helps all the same and gives you that cafe-tasting latte you're looking for!

As someone who is starting college this year and moving away from home to an apartment for the first time this video brings me comfort 💛 Im also a barista (at Starbucks, but still) and to make a latte the steps we use are syrup, espresso shot, milk (we use chobani oat milk) then ice last, hope this helps!
