I lived at West Point 1982-1985. No cadet could have soda and junk food between classes. Real food in the dining hall, fit strong cadets.

thank youuu for documenting your journey it's so cool to get some insight on your day to day life and you're honestly such an inspiration! That pep talk you gave on facetime is something I need everyday LOL but in all seriousness i'm currently a junior in highschool and i'm applying to SLE (praying I'll get an invitation😭) , I was wondering if you have any words of wisdom regarding the whole admissions process as well as certain attributes that might make me stand out as a candidate?

Hey Celine, congrats on applying! I know you’re nervous about everything, but I believe in you!!! The best thing you could do to stand out is be authentic. Be a leader in your high school. Be physically fit, and know your “why.” Why do you want to be not only at USMA but ultimately a officer in the United States Army? Once you meet those requirements and have a strong grasp of the answer to that question, you’ll be unstoppable. Much success to you!!

My son is a plebe right now. I’m so so proud of him. Btw, isn’t she in the parachute team? I believe that’s the girl I met on my son’s A-day weekend this past august. A wonderful parent who I met before that weekend invited us to hang out with them at their Airbnb and that girl was there.27:13

i applied and am waiting to see if i got in or not. my only question is where are the bathrooms/showers in relation to your rooms?

The bathrooms/showers are on either side of the hallway that you live. In other words, it’s extremely close so no worries! Also, good luck on your acceptance!!

Did you ever find out if your friend broke her foot? Hope she recovered just fine!
