This is awesome! I've looked at that trough at TSC several times and thought to myself... if that was low enough for my pigs that'd be a super feeder. What a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
Nice modification of a product to meet your needs. I often find myself wondering the hardware/lumber/tool stores trying to find the parts that will suit the project I have in mind. I have decided I need to learn to weld. It would make many of my projects much easier.

It worked awesome all last year.
I would have just replaced the shorts to be on the end instead of on the inside.

I played that scenario out off camera and it would have made the sides 3 inches too narrow. The end pieces were the right size, but the long sides were too short.
Change the end birds
Alot of trouble you could make a v feed troug

I built a v trough last year. The issue is that they push it all over the pasture. Then I’m left running across a muddy pasture in much boots with a 45lb bucket of fermented feed while 10 hungry pigs chase me down… in the clothes I’m about to show up to work in. And if they push it into a wallow, there’s no digging it out by hand. This doesn’t get moved more than a foot in any direction, and if it does, I just swing over with the tractor, scoop it up, and reposition it.
