The Last Authentic Travel Experience on Earth? (Bhutan: Meditating with Monks & Indigenous Villages)
Sitting on the western side of the Himalayas, Bhutan is a Buddhist Kingdom that famously prioritises the happiness of its citizens over national wealth. It is also famous for prioritising its citizens' happiness over national wealth (GDP). We were lucky enough to be invited to explore this unique country steeped in history and culture, where a traditional way of life reigns supreme and we were given access to film places cameras have never been before. Join us as we explore a remote indigenous mountain village, meditate with monks, and are welcomed into the homes of locals.
We really hope you enjoy watching - if you do, please give it a thumbs up & subscribe, it means KZread is more likely to suggest our films to others and help our channel grow.

Such a delightful, beautiful, sensitive video. The country is absolutely lovely, but the amount of appreciation, and respect both of you displayed is such an example to be followed by most content creators out there. I love how you both carry yourselves with such gratitude and positivity throughout your storytelling . Thank you for this video. Sending love from Brazil.

It’s so nice to see your Video & travels through Bhutan 🇧🇹 I travelled in Bhutan 🇧🇹 about 15 years ago for 1 month & really enjoyed it. So many unique experiences. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Taiwan 🇹🇼
I decided to go for this place for my honeymoon instead of the ever so crowded locations like Thailand, Bali, etc...The best 5 days of my life were spent in Bhutan. Even when I look at the photos, I am automatically at peace. The trek to the tiger's nest is quite difficult but oh so worth it! Me and my wife along with the group that we were travelling with had tears streaming down. Everything was absolutely perfect.

How is it authentic if it was curated by the tourist board of Bhutan? You've seen a touristy experience of Bhutan. Covering that it is known as a happy country that values the well-being of its citizens. Not sure if you are just unaware or whether you are promoting Bhutan as Bhutan tourism office have provided you a free visit and access to special areas. In any case it would be remiss of you to say Bhutan takes care of its citizens without talking about Bhutan's ethnic cleansing and violence against the Lhotshampa people (ethnic Nepalis living in Bhutan) which was carried out only 30 years ago. From my own research the Bhutan govt has never even tried to make amends to the 100,000+ refugees they created.
This was such a beautiful story, told with such grace and empathy. More like a world documentary than a travel vlog! The cinematography was spectacular and the portrait shots of the fascinating locals were exquisite. I'm so in awe of you both for showing us things many of us will never see in our lifetimes in such a genuine and positive way. Thank you thank you thank you x

I couldn't have said it better myself
I have to admit that the most important reason for me to watch your videos is Tania - she has such a pure beautiful energy that you see through her eyes and smile. I had goosebumps when she said happy/sad... And of course, Adam's beautiful energy and wonderful shots accompanied by great music make this channel that beautiful and natural. As someone who has been to many countries before, I was particularly interested in Bhutan as I had not thought of going there until now. They seem to have a really interesting and isolated culture - but I had a tachycardia while you were climbing those roads by car :) And with the risk of altitude sickness, I'll have to think about it... Thank you for the effort, love you guys!
I watched so many videos about our country through many influencers but this one has to be my favourite. I’m so glad you had an amazing time here, do visit us again. Sending love from Bhutan 🇧🇹
Probably the BEST VIDEO on Bhutan that I have seen. Getting permission to film in that amazing Buddhist Temple is a rare taste of the richness of their religious devotion. I can't say fromvexperience but I doubt that thebPotala in Lhasa Tibet has such ambience. Well done! I hope that Bhutan wasn't tainted with the COVID Jab and its after-effects. I hope this country will never be brutalized with Western Industry and Culture. Lets keep it pure and untouched. I'm surprised tha China didn't invade Bhutan and Sikim at the same time they invaded Tibet and destroyed 80% of its Monasteries and Monks!
My wife and I went to Bhutan about a decade ago for our honeymoon. Still one of my favorite memories. Funny to see the roads are still super rough, No 4x4 for us back then, it was all in a minibus, haha. It's a beautiful country with amazing people, I sincerely love Bhutan. Your tour looks like it was a very special experience and really felt your gratitude through the video. And that temple you were able to film in, simply stunning! I think your summary of the Tigers nest is correct. The interior is beautiful but you can see the same if not better, in other temples. I think what makes the place unique is that they were able to build the temple in such a remote location location, the view, the hike up there and the interior. All those things together make it worth the visit.
Fantastic video. Very well filmed and documented

I did a motor bike tour in 2018 across the entire country of Bhutan, and the Himalayan foot hills. We did it over 16 days. Amazing place and amazing people. Highly recommend Bhutan if you are after an authentic experience. Fun fact- we found a nightclub a club in Paro called Insomnia. Was bizarre finding a “western” style nightclub after weeks of traditional Bhutan.
i cried, im commenting, i was moved by this video. early in the morning where im watching from and just gonna have this video in my mind rent free all day long as i go about my absolutely boring and routine life.
Our dear home in the mountains; shrouded in the skies by clouds, tucked away in Rocky peaks, blessed by holy lakes, it truly is the copper coloured mountain; Zangdok Pelri.
This was incredible.. you’re absolutely right that it doesn’t feel like there are many authentic experiences in the world left, but you guys truly got it this time. Can’t wait to visit Bhutan one day!
There are no words to describe this video, at least none that do it justice. Your connection with your hosts is always so warm and genuine as well as respectful. It is no great surprise that you get invited to very special places. We love your videos.

In Bhutan the monks in previous times were warrior monks. Each 'temple' was a fortress' and held hundreds of monks who were also trained to defend invasions. They were well versed in combat and till date the deadliest opponent has been the British exploratory forces. Bhutan succeeded several 'Duars' which are valleys to the British Empire, but Bhutan remains independent.
