I'm interesting in this game but i need to know before buy it, is this game *Multiplayer* only or can be play single player ? Need to be online or can be offline and is there story in it ? I saw at *Steam* first *Helldivers* .. is it good also ? If it's good i'm gonna buy both.

It can be played solo but is definitely designed to be multi-player and thus is much harder solo. Online always, even solo play requires a continuous connection. You have to turn the connectivity to "friends-only" to keep strangers from being able to join you. I was a huge fan of the original but I think there weren't many of us. Helldivers 1 is an isometric twin stick shooter. Same concept and similar mechanics (strategems work the same way, weapons are all familar, mission objectives are similar), but the perspective is completely different. It may or may not be your thing depending on how much you value the very different perspectives of the two games

​@darkerpath Helldivers 2 is so much fun. You can play single-player or multiplayer, but single player is harder, and multiplayer is really fun. There are lots of planets that you can go to. The missions work by landing on the planet doing objectives and destroying outposts then extracting. Each mission you complete contributes to a total liberation of a planet. There are story elements such as Super Earth which is who you fight for are secretly corrupt. It is mainly multiplayer though and I recommend playing with friends. You have your own ship that you name and can upgrade using samples found in missions. You can also call in stratagems which can range from weaponry or airstrikes. You and your team have 20 reinforcements every Misson. So come join the fight to liberate the galaxy soldier. Also you fight against the terminids which are bugs and automatons which are robots

until the devs say "no fun for you" and nerf it to the ground, fuck them

This Strategem honestly feels really good here at the moment. It's really solid for solo play and decent as a squad weapon, but it's not straight up replacing the EAT or Recoilless that both bring their own benefits. EATs are much safer to use in busy environments, and with 2 people running it you can both keep supplied and use them to take out Bile Titans fast since you don't need to charge it. Recoilless have much higher burst damage when team loaded. Quasar has no limits on ammo, but has the charge time replacing the reload time, which can cause issues if enemies are pushing up on you and your aim drifts.

@jetaddict420 it’s Helldiver’s it’s supposed to be hard and a losing battle. Your not supposed to be able to just one shot everything. If you have some friends and you coordinate well most of the hard levels are pretty easy. You sound like you barely play the game and just want to complain.

Shoot the leg or whichever arm is a bigger threat. If you hit the leg it basically can’t move and you can work on getting cover or hitting it with a stratagem. With the bruiser hulks I aim for the flamethrower arm and then I can pop its face without much threat from it. With the other hulks I aim for the legs and that plus distance usually makes killing them easier.
