I cannot listen to anyone else’s version after hearing Richard’s a few years ago. Sublime.

Enchanted music, expresses so much, R. Vaughn Williams was a true English composer, he managed to capture something almost ineffable, and yet he captured the soul of a nation's sadness, and the arc of a life, words are simply not sufficient.

How beautiful! Sensitively played with the orchestra adding the rich sounds so evocative of a cool, misty British countryside.

And I recall the August heatwave gorse pods crackling, hazy air and larks cavorting as long evenings ensue. Love to walk those heaths again.

The tone of that violin melts my heart. And everyone did such breathtaking work. From the orchestra itself to the quality of video, cinematography, setting, lighting, and audio clarity. Thank you for sharing this performance.

You become involved in this masterpiece and find yourself immersed in nature. Let your mind soar! And now this commentary will go just a little long if you don't mind. Sci-fi author Arthur Clarke's 1950's classic, "Childhood's End" depicted the sad and glorious end to the Earth. I had such high hopes when it was turned into a three-part mini series several years ago....and missed by a mile! One earthling remains and before the planet ceases to exist, asks the benevolent aliens to please leave at least something of our world that will let the universe know we existed. Not without understanding and a glimmer of newfound compassion for a dying race, the leader left this song in the void of space, where the earth used to be.

Великолепо! Каждый образованный человек знающий, что в мире голодает хотя бы один ребенок не имеет права заниматься искусством.
