These check posts are for the security of the tourists only. There they write down the name of the tourist , country purpose of visit,. In case a tourist is lost some where, from these check posts one can check that this person has crossed through this check post and then they check with next check post. If that person didn't cross the next check post then it means he is lost between these two points.

yes, Asif you are right , they check the documents for identity of that person as well. As i mentioned, if some one is lost , it will be difficutl to find a lost person. specially foreighners, I served in that area for two years .

You are doing an ammmmazing job promoting Tourism in Pakistan.. You should ask Pakistan Govt. for some reward.. Totally deserve it :)

Stop fretting guys. She's safe as houses in that area. Security is fierce, and she and others like her have nothing to fear. And stop watching CNN :-)

Just been Hunza, no security probs, pictures and videos don’t do this place justice, i wish I had a bike though,immense beauty no words can describe, no hassle from police as in Punjab, roads are in good shape now a lot of credit going to China, great video Nora respect and thanks for promoting Pakistan

Nora is really brave. I am Pakistani live abroad but when I visit I and my family has hesitation to go around the areas and they would not let me go by myself due to the security reasons specially nowadays. But she visited Pakistan by herself even she is foreigner Westerner. Wow that is really encouraging. I hope she will continue to see the world. Good video...

In 2018 this area will be full of containers and security will boost due to a mighty CPEC project so do visit again but plz don't travel alone coz u will face hurdles We are pretty optimistic that things will get more better in near future in 2017 Pakistan will deport Afghani immigrants and strict border surveillance at Afghanistan's border will start so that will boost our security we do have extremists in our country but soon they will be vanished from here and Pakistan will become more safer for foreign tourists......

sany fin No doubt Pakistan's northern areas are facing extreme danger of climate change ..Karakorum highway will help to connect 65 countries with China and Russia it is good for the economy of the world and also for the locals but this project also have some drawbacks

Wow, It is beyond my control. (Altitude sickness). When I climb up Japanese Mt.Fuji (3776m) I learned I were very seriously damaged with altitude sick!.

Always good to have an early night now and then, ... Hey be careful on that loose stuff.....
