Pat (HY Hazell) and Johnny (Michael Medwin) are night club performers at the Carlos Club. Pat is the bubbly, leggy, inquisitive girl who craves excitement. She reads in the paper a lunatic killer is at large, disguised with a false beard. During her dance act she attempts to remove the beard from the first man she sees, and of course he's not the killer. What follows in this British B-movie comedy mystery thriller are bumbling robbers, jewel thieves, art smugglers, a creepy Victorian Gothic house, and a madman with eyes for Pat. Non stop zany fun. Some of this film was shot at the Victorian Gothic country house of Oakley Court, Windsor Road, Oakley Green, Windsor, Berkshire, England. Others in the cast include Sidney James, Andrew Keir, Thelma Grigg, Danny Green, John Longden, Ian Wilson, Barbara Hamilton, Jasmine Dee, and Gordon Mulholland. Transferred from 16mm b-w film.

Never saw this one before n I am an old movie aficionado from way back in the 1960's when I was a kid n watched old movies late at night with my Mom. Looks interesting!!!

That was actually very fun to watch, and I can see why Hy Hazell was considered the Brit answer to Betty Grable. Personally, I think Hy had more talent.
I was 6 years old when this film was made , but i dont remember it being made .

Fun flick. The lovely and talented HY Hazell was quite a dish. 🥰 At 26:56 Why are they driving on the right side of the street in cars with steering wheels on the left? Thank for bringing this romp to YT.

Good question! Maybe in the original editing the editor flipped over the film by mistake, reversing the image, so the cars are on the wrong side of the street. Only other thought is the light was shining correctly for the outdoor shot, so they just shot the building and actors that way.
This is a very good film despite the ridiculousness around it. Now I think it highly likely. Not the brain bit but the pharmaceutical companies finding a cure for, let us say Cancer, but not wishing to lose the financial gains they have the monopoly on. So, they do not give the cure. They care not for human life, just the bank balance. Sad isn’t it? Thank you very much.
How could such nonsense ever have been made. Complete drivel.
