Comebacks like these remind me of why i love kpop. This song goes completely batshit crazy and gets me hyped like nothing else. There's absolutely nothing like this outside of kpop

@@pinkvenomblackpinkscomeback it's not bc of the cb, they lost a lot of fans last year and i think that's the reason why we didn't improved in sale but i believe their digital imporve a lot and even got the win in inigayo. alot of new fans also join after this cb, we can probably see the result of roar in next cb

The Boyz really had a difficult 2022, barely any promotions and Eric's absence. As a deobi I'm fucking proud of this comeback, they are getting the attention they deserve and they brought us a fantastic song and MV, and they are going everywhere to promote. Thanks PD! I know you would lose your shit with this editing and Juyeon fallen angel scene lol

TMI: The director of ROAR trailer/Let Your Whisper Be was actually recommended by the members themselves. They said to the company (IST Ent) that they wanted to work with that director after knowing that she worked on Seulgi’s trailer. THE BOYZ KNOW WHAT THEY AND THEIR AUDIENCE AND FANS WANTS THAT RESULTS TO THIS AMAZING MUSIC VIDEO AND COMEBACK 😻

This was insane and they have STARTED the year off with this.. It's a wake up call to the industry to not be so quick to label them and put them in a box.. Talk about coming back from a bad year (as the boyz members said, eric's hiatus etc) to what is hands down the best comeback.. Can't wait to see what they bring next..

Something I think you'd find interesting is that this MV is connected to Whisper (the whistling at the end and the angel concept in that MV that leads into the Fallen Angels concept in this one) and Maverick (Sunwoo's first line "Dont call me like that" is a callback to his line in Maverick "They call me little bad bad" and Eric is the survivor of the battle royale in Maverick yet doesn't show-up in Whisper*) *= he was on hiatus during Whisper, but Sunwoo says its connected.

It is always great to see all the resources come together to help a group, like The Boyz achieve their maximum potential, which is great. This song is amazing to watch. They delivered with excellence.

Honestly, I've been waiting for a MV like this for some time. The song, the concept, the aesthetic, the makeup, the choreo... Everything goes so well together. It's just so perfect. The intensity? I knew the second I watched Roar that I needed to see your video on it haha. I used to ult The Boyz but kind of fell out of them just a little after Maverick (less about them and more about me just moving on to other things). Whisper, while good, didn't do much for me. I love Bump&Love though. But wow, this comeback made me fall in love with them all over again. Not only is the song amazing but the MUSIC VIDEO?? Just. Wow. Chef's kiss. The Boyz are the standard. I've been waiting for you to react this Roar MV since it was released! I agree to every thoughts you said in the video, especially when you said this comeback (in terms of song, choreo, MV, and overall) shows what they show on their live performances, knowing how good The Boyz are as artist and performer. I recommend you to watch their live stages too because the performance and choreo is so good GOOD. Roar is definitely their best comeback and peak of their career, there's no way to get back because the standard now is indeed high 👍🏻

Roar is my favorite of their darker concepts. I tend to prefer their brighter, high energy ones (D.D.D, Bloom Bloom), but I think that since this song is more melodic than their other darker ones have been so far it's more appealing. And yes, the MV is INCREDIBLE; their production team chose violence & I'm so glad they did. 😁

I prefer the bsides to the title track but this is def the best bg music video of the year. The BUDGET was there. It was seen for sure. I'm glad Younghoon got to shine❤ Looking forward to what they do next.

8:28 roar is the pivoting point for tbz. oh my i can see you're so in love with jacob in this music video. dw i am too anyway. there is no way tbz should be going back. this is their glow up and im all here for it. their live performances were just as amazing. the choreography is whole masterpiece. rigend film is the one they should've hired all along. promotion may have ended but this song is still stuck to me like glue and i am undeniably obsessed. ive probably watched that mv a hundred times already now. roar is the perfect comeback. by far, it's the best. and i'm only craving for more and better songs from them from now on.

I agree that this has just elevated their careers even further, they have so much to offer. For those of you who didn't know the concept isn't actually werewolves (like it was in Reveal era). It's actually a continuation of Whisper. In Whisper they are angels and in Roar they are now fallen angels caused by them committing the sin(?) of forbidden love and following their instincts to love even though it was against heavens(?) rules. Hence the lyrics "I turned my back on paradise, only now am I free". The album has 6 different concepts of forbidden love. Welcome new Deobi and please support the hardworking boys♥️

This MV is now my fav from The Boyz! The amount of hype I got from watching it when it first came out was insane, but even after watching it many times, I STILL have some hype when watching it (especially that ending scene when the rain comes in). Also this title track and their entire mini album is incredible!!! They really slayed!!!!!

the choreography for this song reminded me so much of little details in onlyoneof's choreo and the theatrics of their choreo soooooo much and I honestly love that because The Boyz and OOO I see as similar with dance skill and I desperately need them to cover eachothers songs. Roar reminded me especially of parts of Sage which I've wanted tbz to cover for ages so this was such a treat OOO also fits the fallen angel concept a little too well 😅

As someone who has only liked a few of their title tracks{Bloom Bloom, DDD, and Maverick} and was able to watch them grow on both R2K and Kingdom while it was airing on Mnet, the Boyz were never able to catch my eye. This song,however, blew my freaking mind and the video did as well that on the day “Roar” was released, i finally got the courage to go through their entire discography and am now trying to make my way through their variety content as well. Like it feels weird to say that this era feels like an official rebirth for the Boyz, but it is and I hope people look out because if we get more stuff like this, their international fan base is going to grow massively. Holy cow. Also: PD, congrats on the Move to Korea!
