Dita, the girl in the 1st verse, sounds like a cross between Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga. She almost sounds like a more soulful Rose. Just phenomenal! And don't even get me started on Denise, the one who did the pre-chorus. This. Woman. Can. SIIINNNGGG. Her tone is so nice and refreshing, like you said pd, If Dita has a soulful voice, then Denise invented soul itself

The song writer’s name is "Jo Yoonkyung". She writes a lot for SM Entertainment groups, such as EXO, Girls' Generation, Red Velvet. Yeah and also “so what” and “Universe” by Loona. The music was composed by COTTON GLOVE, Shark, A Wright, Francesca Richard, Edgar Vargas and Jedi. Francci has worked with world-renowned artists such as, Dr. Dre, David Guetta, Tyga, Diplo, Keisha Cole, and Ciara.

This comeback is better than the debut. To be honest even tho Dita is the main dancer I think her most impressive trait is her voice and her timbre, while Jinny seems to be growing as a rapper but her best performance so far has to be in "Privacy". I have high expectation from both given their background, one as a 1 Million dancer and all the rest and Jinny being a YGE trainee that was supposed to debut with freaking Blackpink. Denise (yeah, another YGE trainee) is owning the pre-chorus while Lea and Soodam seemed to have more of a support role. Definiltely Dita's era for me.

@@paritsebelah9575 basically all kpop trainees receive rap lessons, at least to the point of understanding how good they could become sticking to it. I appreciated your play on words on Soodam's name and it would have landed nicely including "nice" or "good" at the end! 😉 I don't have a particular favourite in Secret Number really but as I said I found that Dita's impact on the comeback is quite strong. I too found strange that at least Lea being the leader didn't have much of a role this time around. Anyway at the end of the day the abilities of groups' members are all at the service of the song, if the song is successful they all are.

Secret number got my attention from the debut but I was TOTALLY impressed by this, after listening to the debut I didn't expect this masterpiece! Very very refreshing

The chorus drop is so satisfying it's like listening to explotions of colours idk if that makes sense but that's how it makes me feel, I like this song a lot

People say that every year and with every group but this year's gg rookies were amazing, to the point where many of my favourite songs of the year are from them.

who this was a great debut, it showed off them as individual idols and their charms, but this song tells us much more about their identity as a group. it feels much more personal and like they truly mean every word they sing. i'm so excited to see what they will do in the future!

What I like about SN is that each member is easily recognized and distinguished. What I like about secret numbers is that each member has a contrast vocal color. No one can call it a global girl group unless it's representing every continent. This is literally only 2 continents. Asia and North America. Unless you have someone from Africa, Europe, South America, Asia and North America you can't call it global. Also, they're all still have the same skin color, there's no race representation, which is also not global. Still like them tho, not saying I don't, but I just don't agree with you. People are just way to fast in saying something is global because they like a song or a group. If you like them, great, but please don't make statements which are going to show record labels that a minimal amount of inclusion is good enough. We need to be more critical and push record labels toward innovation and acceptance of people another than Asians.

@@BlackStarSymphony Perhaps they meant global in the sense that there are nationalities and ethnicities other than just Korean in the group, therefore identities from other places on the globe or around the world in the sense that you have to go around the world to get to those other places. If they didn’t mean that then this is probably as global kpop groups will get for a long time. There have for sure been black kpop idols, I can say, but of course there aren’t any in this group.

It gives the ending so much power and momentum (so much so that i almost hoped it ended like that without the gimme gimme that part). I feel like the reason I can't get into aespa or stay is coz these girls came first...there is a clear maturity in their sound Nd visual but it's not predictably kpop like...they r solo diff from each other they visual, vocal Nd facial expressions have gotten even more good....they just look great on stage...just like G-idle I feel like they will make a path unique to them

alternative title: PD being whipped for their vocal and pre chorus for 19 minutes straight Btw, even tho the Song is super lit and got A first spot in UK and INDONESIA itunes, sadly the album didnt sell that well. this girls deserve better

I think so too. They’ll be the one who leads the groups who debuted this year. I’m not saying they’ll lead the 4th gen yet because there’re still many more groups to come like Enhypen and powerhouses like TXT & ITZY, but they’re definitely a candidate. I already can see if they make it to the top, they’ll known as the group who rise from unknown company to fame of 4th gen.

These girls are amazing All the member has a great voice, strong dance skill and the visual so charismatic They first time I've heard this song I was like "umm" and the second time "okey this is good" and 3nd times "vibing the song" lol

Secret Number's debut was good and showed off impressive talent and presence. But this follow-up is incredible and is a level-up in every conceivable way. It's one of those songs that when it dropped I listened to it over and over and over and I just haven't been able to get enough of it. I love it.

The song is a BOP, and i do agree with you about the mv didn't do them justice, its too much and feels like they just kinda throw them whatever, they could've give them some sort of storyline and make it neater but they didn't. idk if its because of they're a small company or whatever but even the editing itself doesn't look very cohesive

Agreed... That chorus is so party-ish... A disco ball effect would've made it look really cool especially for the second chorus.... The video looks too empty as compared to the audio... Also some glittery effects would've looked cool

I am so glad PD likes Secret Number. Denise's vocals are out of this world. She is a vocal POWERHOUSE. She's said that she's heavily inspired by Demi Lovato when Eric Nam interviewed her on KPDB. Dita's vocals are so satisfying as hell to hear, too. She's the second deep voice during the chorus. The girl you get Sunmi vibes from is Jinny, former YG trainee who was actually supposed to debut w/ Blackpink until YG made last minute cuts and brought it down to the 4 girl lineup we know today.

The girl on the intro with a strong voice is Dita, she's a dancer from 1MILLION Studio, we knew that she must be a crazy dancer if she's from 1MILLION. That girl who looks like sunmi is Jinny, she's also from YG in fact she was a part of PinkPunk aka the pre-debut Blackpink but get eliminated right before they debuted (same as Miyeon from (G)I-dle)

this comeback proves that dita and denise are one of the strong 4th gen vocal like how they back to back carrying this song also I like how we can see more soodam's vocal colour especially during the bridge like 🤩
