NO THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF THE BEST RELEASES THIS YEAR FOR REAL. it's underrated because they obviously lost fans to hype it and yg has pushed this cb for so long. but i've been streaming this song every freaking day since release and i don't get tired of it. it's bold for them to try the synthwave genre and i admit i was kinda worried because they never tried something similar before. it's funny because this song just cemented the fact that iKON can deliver any genre. their album is solid too! if only people can give it a listen, i know they'll get addicted.

@@131onlyikon I just don't understand the way YG marketing works. Do they no want iKon to be popular? They completely wasted the Kingdom exposure! I like them, but even I sometimes forget they exist; that's how completely lacking their promotion is.

This is a bold move of iKON considering that they haven't explored this genre before. They took the risk. And i think it paid off. It is quite refreshing to hear a different kind of sound than what we usually hear from most kpop songs.

@@zistring This along with Why Why Why are pure OT6 songs; I can't imagine B.I's voice in them unlike with Dive. i DECIDE were the last remaining embers of B.I in iKON. iKON are now becoming their own thing, same thing with B.I with his solo career.

Jinhwan pushed for this to be their title track. I'm so glad he did, it's fantastic!!

They can be so different. IKON were very crazy, hiphopish, savage with B.I. After him, they become more vulnerable in music. I love to see how they change and bring it to the music. B.I. also making so many great songs right now. Also love how YG makes for IKON not standard kpop styled music and dancing. They're just chillin and we love to see it

It feels like they were very fierce, competitive with B.I. and more chill, laid-back as 6KON.

Been stanning them for 6 or 7 years now, this is really something new but it fits them perfectly. I don't really listen to a lot of kpop group, but this is definetly something refreshing. I'm proud of them for taking the risk and showing a different side of them despite of their years in this industry --

Donghyuk really got me in this one. Vocals, dancing, charisma, styling was all so on point. When I watched this for the first time I also got kind of got overwhelmed like you did because the song is so freaking good and I also just really missed hearing their voices. All of their vocals really shine here!

Ikr, chanwoo is crazy this comeback, his confidence is just on another level.

iKON deserve the world. They are so talented, nice and creative. True artists. I loved But You so much. Thank you for reacting to them.

I'm glad that iKON tried a new genre because it shows a lot of their versatility and talent. iKON is that group that excels in any genre, hip hop, ballad, retro, rock, etc.. and I really enjoy the music video, it was playful yet sentimental. I have always known that they have great vocals especially when they are on stage. Can't wait for their upcoming concert in June. Hoping for bigger things for iKON in the future. iKON and iKONICS, fighting!!!!!! 💗💗🥰

I think IKON has a new style now, IKON shines in a different way, the changes were painful but it helped them grow and be more united, I love them!

because ikon's genre is ikon lol. their songs are instantly recognizable because their very distinct sound, especially bobby and junhoe.

Chanwoo's part is really a culture reset. T_T But yes, whenever I see iKON's But You MV, I've become teary-eyed too. BUT YOU IS LEGIT AMAZING!! SOUNDS VERY SOTY

I know what you mean in terms of this song having like this weird underlying sadness to it. I've always associated this kinda 80s synth pop sound and it's inherent emotionality with the feelings of longing for your youth or a happy time that's since passed or for a missed loved one juxtaposed with high energy and a groove/vibe. Even though I'm a 90s kid, those sounds of the 80s universally capture those kinda feelings. I think it's why that sound sticks around and people never really get tired of it.

This comeback is phenomenal (mini album, Flashback, too) It has iKON's essence yet has a fresh and new vibe! Everyone really shined in this song , each got equal parts and they showcased their talent and development ^^ DK and Bobby played a major role in this album, production and lyrics Jay and Yoon from Winner participated too! I loved how in this MV we got singer bobby, superstar Jay, rockstar Ju-ne, Center Yunhyeong, Visual DK and confident Chanwoo with a new style to his lines ❤️❤️❤️🥺 the production on this MV and the shots are chef's kiss ^^ my personal favorites are Ju-ne's part were he does a subtle dance move with attitude (I think at 1:17 ) and that melancholic part when they change sets, Yunhyeong owned iiiit, Ju-ne as well! That part was so beautiful, and the choreo too when they clear the way for Yunhyeong before his part in this shot ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻 GAAAAAAH I watched this like 5+ times, I can talk forever on this! Fun facts :- - DK said This album's concept is "a walk down memory lane" and them moving on to smth new (I think) - The MV is all about someone missing that one special person and trying to drown the sorrow through partying and drinking with friends , but it's not working because they love them so deeply. -DK consulted his parents to help him with inspiration for the retro vibes 😂❤️ - Sparkles shot was literally just glitter thrown around, then the shot was reversed to make it look as if it's ascending ( I guess that's why they're not moving and how it worked ^^) , then they blacked out the background (green screen?) to make it that glamorous and like time stopped or so. - Chanwoo said that the reason why Ju-ne was laughing in the car (DK's shot and him at the back of the car) is because he was slapping DK's butt XD iKON really never seizes to surprise me and I love them so much! I'm so proud I cried! They can pull off anything!

iKON TV is for real the best reality show, I show it to one of my best friend and her also is a ikonic now. I watch that show everytime that I want to laugh and miss them :cccc

I felt the same emotion too. IKON triggers all the feels for me. This song was such a bop. I was looking forward to you seeing this MV. I was in love immediately with the song. And Chanwoo… I did a double take - he looked amazing with his hair pulled off of his face! And DK he kills me every time I see him. They all hit with the vocals on this song. ☺️

I’ve become a major fan of iKON in recent years and hands down this is their best title track. From start to finish, it’s a perfect song. Great balance, the visuals are stunning in the video.

I'm happy as a clam knowing that iKON is exploring their own music. Not just following their footprints or what's trendy on their way. But they choose to show who they really are through music. The Vocals. Dance. Visuals. Rapping and the color of their music is so, comforting. Amazing talented boys.

Nobody could expect this genre of music would come from iKON! But I've recently realized that I just LOVE iKON no matter what music they do. I adore Bobby's tone in this song. I can’t tell you how much I ADORE this song!!! I’ve been a fan of iKON for about two years as well and honestly fell in love with their attitude, talent, and the passion they have for music. This song was the ultimate display of that for me. I think you hit it right on the spot about the bittersweet feeling it gives off. The lyrics are perfect and the vocal execution is raw and strong yet vulnerable, as expected from iKON, but they really sang with their hearts and I can’t say that about too many kpop songs these days. And the gorgeous music video is just the cherry on top. That opening scene in particular with the glitter gave me goosebumps! iKON is such a strong group and I really hope this comeback gets them more attention because people be sleeping on them forreal (speaking of which, I really love ‘For Real?’ from the album, it’s AMAZING, probably my fave along with ‘But You’ & ‘Name’). Yes I loved this and it was Chanwoo and DK who stood out the most to me, which is usually difficult since they don’t they get many lines. Also Chanwoo with his hair up is superior 🔥

I’m a late ikonic, but my god they deserve so much more. They are just…chefs kiss. They are so real, authentic, raw, funny and just chill. They are funny, smart, interesting, and brilliant artist. They are talented dancers, singers, rappers, songwriters, etc. So much talent, passion and charisma runs through them and I want the best for them. You should watch them on Win: who’s next and Max and Match see if you won’t become an even bigger fan of them. Also B.I is killing his solo endeavors. P.s. I love that they went with an 80’s pop synth sound. 80’s synth always have this melancholy drowning sound, and they usually use darker/minor chord progressions to get that vibe. It’s fits with their vulnerability these past years.

I love how different this song is . I love unexpected . You are right is very karaoke friendly . I found myself singing it in my head . I just turn the subtitles off so I can pretend is a happy dance song because I dont feel like crying on this disco vibe . 😅 I just also try not to think about the future since their contracts with YG will end soon and I cant think about that without fear .

I love iKON anyway, but I love this whole album! I just got my physical copies in the mail and they're really well done😊

There's only 3 fandoms I consider myself a part of: BLACKJACK, VIP, and iKONIC (including sub-fandoms eg ID, GZB, BOMshells). No one hits me as much as these groups have. One major thing they all have in common is they only serve quality. Since WWW, my bias Chanwoo is finally getting his time to shine and I'm here for it. Only thing is I'm still missing BI's touch in iKON's new music, but BI just released BTBT so I'm satisfied. Give that a listen too!

But as a fan, I guess what I feel from them is the confidence and surety that I associated with them. These are iKON singles that only iKON can sing. Like it's iKON's and no one else.

I was genuinely shocked with the sound of this song cuz it was way different than what they did and they pulled this off really well. You should check out the rest of the album, the songs are all bops!

I love the fact that you said so many times that you're proud of them because I feel like that's how all iKONICS feel about this comeback. They went through so much shit during the past 3 years seeing them come back with such an amazing mv and album (Because FLASHBACK is without a doubt one of the best works they've put out) just makes us so effin proud. I fell in love with iKON first because of their music and I am still riding this love train because of the music, that's the most important part for me. Donghyuk's super emotional, gorgeous, final riff just slayed my whole life.

I watched this without sound because I don't have earphone with me right now and I'm at school, but I have streamed the MV for too many times I can play it in my head and if you saw my expression, it is so happy and proud. Got teary eyed too for some reason like when I watched it for the first time.
