D.O mentioned during his interview in Lee Mujin Service that people’s impressions are different, some listens to the melody, some the lyrics, some the voice. And to that matter, maybe to others like you discussed, the cinematics or production. So his goal is to portray his best on all aspects. It’s just beautiful. With that maybe you can listen to D.O in Lee Mujin Service, even just for personal consumption :)

D.O. is a storyteller EVERYTIME. You should definitely watch his medley, its SO cinematic. Its a movie look like

Kyungsoo is not really your typical idol. And this mv was very unique b'coz good thing Idol D.O. casted Actor kyungsoo in his MV that's why this music and the production itself is in a whole different level. It was so amazing how he can use his Idol and actor persona simultaneously. He is just so amazing in both Fields. He is one of a kind tbh. I feel like there's only him in this world..

sir you better check out D.O.'s solo repertoire!! He has a beautiful song in Spanish, yes.... SPANISH!! you're late to this D.O. train. if you went back and listened to all of your favorite EXO songs sure Chen and Baekhyun get the killing voice parts however D.O. has these soulful parts that subtly stand out that you never thought about before cause you were waiting for the killing part. Think about before EXO debuted and he had the song What is Love with Baekhyun.

D.O. is an amazing, multitalented artist. Mad respect for his solo work as well as his EXO discography. Chen's latest album is my favorite Chen album as it contains the type of music I prefer, esp his rock-influenced songs. As for Kai's films, I read that Kai used his own money to make them. Hence, the true representation of him as an artist. What I find most astonishing about EXO is that each member of the group has their own unique color as an artist. But when they come together as a group, it's a perfectly made puzzle & pure magic!

Kyungsoo/D.O in LeeMujin Service is my fave out of all his album promos. I didnt know I can fall in love with his voice even more.. ❤

His highlight medley for this album was even better than the mv, like you really need to check it out. That would definitely blow your mind...

Regarding you not liking Chen's solo stuff - I think I understand where it's coming from; although Chen is my bias in EXO, I only liked a few songs from his solo albums because I am not a big fan of ballads. But I listened to his new Japanese solo album recently which is called Polaris, and oh my, it is the best he's done so far. There are tracks of different genres and it does a great job in showcasing his vocals - pop, r&b/soul, even rock. I hope you can listen to it, PD - not even as a reaction, but just for yourself, it will change your mind about Chen's solo music, I am sure. And thank you for the reaction to our D.O.!

Have the same thoughts too, but I love ballads especially when done right like what Chen can do especially the feeling he portrays, hence the crying lol. Not everyone can like Chen's works, even EXO-Ls, it's understandable, but also not everyone can do what he can do. Polaris is amazing really, it slowly showed different sides of Chen, as well as his own color as a soloist. I can always count on Chen for tears, (like what Beautiful goodbye does as that first note hits).

I love Chen's voice and I really love hearing him in EXO's songs. But I have never really much liked ballads in general, and while I listen to Chen's songs when they come out, they aren't the type I'll add to my regular rotation playlist. I really loved his Japanese album though. I love him doing rock songs like in Drop That or Watch Out, and have wanted something like Polaris for a very long time.

D.O’s first solo album is gold as well. D.O really has the charisma which I can’t explain what. It’s hard to not notice him, even he’s not the brightest ones. Chen’s latest Japanese album surprises me! It shows us a different side of him. Love that

To have a real taste of D.O.'s talent, live concerts are the best choices. He shines in every song and his voice has such a lovely R&B color. He is definitely one of the most beautiful voices in the industry! And about Chen, I also don't vibe with his songs normally, but his last Japanese album is really good. It's more upbeat :) I really enjoy it!

I also completely agree with the 'he's so good at acting that it feels like it's not him singing' point. and not to blow smoke up his ass but I truly think he's so natural (and hard working ofc) at acting that it always feels like that, he makes me believe he is that character. serious or silly, he commits. also if you like his vocals in this, I suggest watching the it's live video that highlights his riffs!

Yes, from his first solo album, the production is like a short movie, perhaps because he wants to portray himself as Doh Kyungsoo as a person, as an actor and as a singer as well. From the first album..fans will be like, this is so D.O. hahaha! And that's the case for me too as his fan. This album too. When your friend said she doesn't really need the MV anymore, she just listen to the song..it literally represents me as Dandanies (D.O. fandom name) or EXO-L in general..Once I watch the MV the first time, I'll dig into the album right away What more if there's live version release.. MV is no longer needed😅. I rewatch his live singing in all of the programs he appeared for the album promotion because the live version sounds better..so yes, the fans just want to listen to the singing..the vocals. The MV is so D.O. because it's highlighting small beautiful moments and D.O. as an actor known for his natural acting even by the expression through his eye gaze. 😊 Well, you should watch D.O. in Lee Mujin service. I am actually surprised that you only knew him now as a very very good singer. After i heard him sing in year 2014, i was drawn to him and to EXO. To be honest, D.O.'s voice adds so much flavor to the sound and songs of EXO because no one can do as much runs and riffs and adlibs as good as D.O. Look, i am not an expert but i only trust what i hear and his voice and his choice of throwing words when he sings is absolutely beautiful. Somebody is such a beautiful song. This 2023 is the first time we’ve gotten to see Kyungsoo actively promoting his own album (for a week), while also giving covers of other artists music. I recommend Lee Mujin Service, where he sang two songs in perfect english, as well as the guesting on The Seasons where he did a great duet with AKMU’s Suhyun. Also, I have to agree a little with your girlfriend. Once I’ve seen the MV’s, while appreciating the stunning cinematography, all I need after is to listen to his voice. I listen to his mini albums on repeat, and all the songs are GOOD! Check out the Highlight medley for both Empathy and Expectation for a taste of the albums, just like with Kai’s films. You’ll love them, I’m sure. Lastly, Kyungsoo is known as Almokyung, witch translates to unpredictable. He can be quiet, he can be savage, he can be hysterically funny, he can be cute, he can be loud, he can be scary, he can be sweet. He’s shy around new people, but is at heart extroverted and social, comfortable around friends and family, easily gets nervous when asked to speak in public, thinks before he speaks, well-mannered and humble, and always helps staff and members unprompted. Please check both of his highlights medley out. You willbe amazed. He hired a famous film director to film his latest highlitght medley and because of this everyone was so surprised. There were manny articles written about is.

The fact that this is how Kyungsoo comforts the people in his life is so sweet and true to him. After his member, Chanyeol, had throat surgery he would visit him often to literally just sit with him & he did the same while Actor, Kim Woobin was ill. I completely understand why they compete for Dandan President. Idk a more down to earth person than Doh Kyungsoo. He changed my life. During his promotions for this album he was asked what his goals/hopes for this album are and he answered that he simply hopes that everyone who listens to his album stays healthy. His selflessness really took me off guard and made me reflect on what I would be willing to sacrifice for my loved ones.

I hope you listen to both his Expectation and Empathy albums. Each song makes you feel like you feel now after listening/watching Somebody. Esp look at his Expectation medley promo video. He hired a short film producer and it's amazing.

I really can’t believe that this is one of your first run ins with the d.o.!! He’s genuinely my favourite kpop vocalist and I’ve been into kpop for a while. I feel like his solo work really represents who he is as a person. He’s very humble, sometimes reserved and is a fan of the simple life and I think that really comes across his music and mvs too. I’m not sure how deep you’ve dived into exo but I’ll definitely call him the backbone of exo. Especially in their first few albums he shines vocally so much (maybe because exo was still split in k and m so when it came exo k he and baekhyun absolutely dominated each song). He’s such a genuine guy and has an absolutely god sent voice

That's exactly what drew me to become his fan. I occasionally wondered why I couldn't get into EXO even though I've known them for years and love several of their songs. Ahmmm I'm sorry but Kyungsoo was never part of the "Underated" member of exo, let alone his voice. His voice is literally the most favorite voice in the group. You can see it in almost every yt reactions or just in exo music videos itself. His name was always mentioned. However, during his promotion recently more ppl realized how great of a vocalist he is. He is a type of an idol where everyone always crave for his voice. And Kyungsoo is one of the most popular Member of exo and he is also the only SM soloist who have the Biggest debut album on MelOn 2023. So, that's more than enough reason to believe that ppl be it other Fandoms and just the gp recognized and appreciate his discography and vocal.

And just for your information, he just recently left SM for good and established his own company named (Company Soosoo) and his Variety show is currently The most popular variety in SK, that's why I oppose your opinion about him being "Overlooked" and "Underated" b'coz he was literally hype and trending most of the time 😊
