Thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Absolutely stunning makes! Carly and bag wow!! Love love the hot water bottle cover beautiful. Well done you 👏👏👏
Thank you for this fun episode Laura! 🎉😊 It was so enjoyable to see all your projects but more than that: it's such a joy to see you being happy and excited! After rooting for you through those hard times I'm so glad you're in this positive place right now. ❤ Keep up your great work and more importantly: keep enjoying what you do 🎉
Oh my…the blue “scrappy leftover” sample has got me even more excited! 😍🥰 I certainly have loads of beloved scrappy leftovers. For me, it will be a memory blanket!
You look stunning with the red lip, head band and the elegant cardigan. Katherine of Aragon/Gossip Girl vibe = brilliant and spot on description!!
"Ding dong, Merry on High", oh my goodness Laura, I love it and I'm using that all season long! I absolutely love Christmas too! Thank you for sharing your current knits. Merry Christmas!
Your wedding sweater is gorgeous. So are the pillow covers and the hot water bottle covers. You go, girl!
OH MY GOODNESS! This episode was so fun and it's obvious you put a lot of thought and time getting the vibe just right. Girl, you knocked it out of the park! I mean! That bag!!
I love the black Sunday Cardigan, the headband, and the red lip and nails 💅🏼 💄! So festive, I’m getting great ideas for the holiday season 🤩
I just love your black sweater, and when you were describing why you made it and how you'll wear it, I thought how clever that she has a slight v in the front bottom, very stylish. Then you said later it was a mistake - well I think it's perfect for that special kind of garment. Very festive!! You really look smashing today, the whole nine-yards - - but then you showed your pink bag. OMG I about died. So perfect!!
For a Christmas sweater, the love note would be so cute with those pants! Lace yoke, cropped, fingering + mohair and lots of options with ease (looks great fitted or oversized). It'll knit up so quick too!
You are so fun to watch!! Thank you for your energy.
I can picture a white, fluffy Collette tee by Witre design with your sparkly pants ☺️
What a lovely podcast today with beautiful knits . Absolutely loved everything. Just brought the Stella pillow pattern it's so lovely and will be buying the hot water bottle pattern when it's released . Have the best time away for the wedding ❤
Laura I love everything you’ve made and I’m going to be buying all those patterns…….the Christmas hot water bottle is blooming fab. Your doing great lovely and I’ve been watching you for a while now and you have come a long way well done, give yourself a big Pat on the back 🥰😘🥰😘🥰😘
I literally love every completed item and wip in this episode!! That three colour hot water bottle cover is so beautiful.
Your energy is like mood booster for me🩵😊
Absolutely loved EVERYTHING in this episode, but especially seeing you so happy Laura. 💓
Your energy is infectious in this one. This has really put me in the holiday spirit 😊😊😊 Can’t wait to see what you end up making for your Christmas jumper
The hot water covers were fabulous. Like your color combination in the cushion covers.
Wonderful to see you exploring outside your comfort zone and just exuding glee over the season ❤
Your journey is so inspiring 💖
Love, love, love the pillow covers. Will be making them in 2024!!!
Pillow and hot water covers are so gorgeous. Love all your podcasts
Your cardigan is absolutely stunning. You look so regal and gorgeous! I also really want to get things off my needles so I can make those gorgeous pillowcases, and the Sweet Shop Blanket!
I think you're right about the button band on your bolero cardigan, but I think it genuinely does look like a design feature. Some boleros do have a different or longer front than the back. In the past I made a sleeveless laceweight knitted top that had buttons down the front and gasped as well. I sewed the button band closed as like you I could easily get it over my head. The bonus wad that it didn't look like it was sewed at all and I could then relax totally about any possible gaping that might've happened. Your bag is just perfect. Of course little Penny wants one! You should make her a coin purse frame size one that she can wear across her body. You can both match then without her being swamped by a bag too big for her. Well done on the cushions....I love them! ❤ Those hot water bottle covers are gorgeous. I decided after Easter this year that I was going to possibly make my grandkids some for next Easter. I'm probably going to do some intarsia on theirs. I can't wait to see what that wonderful brain of yours develops next. Well done! PS my pattern suggestion would be the Whitmoor Cardigan. Enjoy your knit whatever pattern you choose.
I absolutely love the headband!
Loving all the projects, and all the positive vibes. Congratulations. And yes, you are a pattern designer. Own it, you're very talented ❤. I love the hot water bottle covers. Very cute.
Looking absolutely stunning Laura!!! So chic! Lipstick is *mwah*!!!
I agree I think it’s the row gauge on the button band - mine is too long too and therefore gappy between the buttons but still looks gorgeous and now I’m tempted to make a modified version too!
Before I took on too many test knits I had planned to make myself a Christmas lento with white mohair and white fingering weight yarn with red and green speckles. I think the white mohair would make the red and green more subtle but still festive.
LOVE your bag!! As a girl who thinks everything is better in pink, WELCOME to the pink party! Lol
Love your enthusiasm!
Even though the Christmas mentions were kept to a minimum, this was such a festive video! Thank you and happy holidays!!
The bag is darling ❤ I am so glad you didn’t give up when you could have. Your spirit and energy are infectious and give others hope.
I love the headband with the outfit! I got such a Frida kahlo vibe from it ✨
Can't tell you how over the moon excited I am for the release of the Stella Quilt Cushion pattern. I've already purchased it and can't wait to begin. I am looking forward to the blanket pattern release as well!!! Love this so much.
I’m working on your Sweet shop blanket and I’m 🥰 ❤ it, it is so brilliant written👍🤩
I will be honest - your cushion covers are one of the first ever advent pattens that has convinced me to trust in an advent calendar project knit with each day of yarn you receive!
Love that bag- it’s absolutely gorgeous! X
Laura, I love the mods you made to your Sunday cardigan!
Absolutely adore your channel! This podcast is especially enjoyable - loving all your knits, designs and your energy! Definitely going to purchase the pillow cover. Planning to do it as a “advent” knit. The water bottle is stunning - need that too! Your cardigan is dreamy - the buttons are to die for. 🥰
Great to see you looking so happy and I’ve seen Kelly’s hot water bottle cover and absolutely love it. My only problem will be deciding what colour to choose because they’re just so many options.
Oh Laura! I'm not a person who usually comments on KZread videos but I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful work you're doing! Everytime you upload a video, an Instagram post or even an Insta story, I'm immediately a little bit happier and get all the cozy feelings! I can't wait for Vlogmas, I hope you have a wonderful day❤
Love the clutch bag. It's so cute in that pink. I enjoy you personality as well.
That bag would look great in bright green too.
What a fabulous designer you are love this podcast and you look so lovely thankyou x
Dear Laura, I just saw the first half a minute of your podcast and I already had to laugh so much 😂😂😂 it‘s just lovely hearing you talking about Christmas and vlogmas. I woke up this morning and decided that pre Christmas times have officially started now, because I just wanted to hear my favourite Christmas playlist while having breakfast 😁😊 so I go back to your podcast now, listening to you saying Christmas and vlogmas many more times and look forward when it finally starts next week 😁🎉
The Whitmoor Cardigan or Whitmoor Pullover would look stunning with your sparkly pants!!!
She’s back! So thrilled to see you finding your joy and hitting your stride again Laura, you deserve all the wonderful things! ❤ As soon as I saw your sparkly trousers I thought of the Whitmoor sweater by Ami Lowden. Dk weight (lace and mohair held together) and a good size range
OMG the clutch is beautiful ❤❤
Loving the Spanish Queen regal vibes, and congrats on those fab designs
Wow that black cardigan looks fantastic on you! The Minto sweater ❤
Love the pillow pattern!! I all so want the Hot Water Bottle. Thank you
For a christmas sweater (all sandness garn patterns) - the marius sweater is fluffy but is very chunky and oversized - the christmas sweater is close fitting and has fun colorwork like christmas trees and reindeers - the pautty christmas sweater is a circular yoke with texture and colorwork
OMG. Your clutch is gorgeous.
This is my first time watching your podcast (Inga from Knitting Traditions speaks highly of you) and I loved it! I particularly love your new pattern release of the Stella Quilt Cushion, have purchased the pattern and am now stash diving for suitable yarns ... this will be a treat to make for myself AND for gifting! OK, now to watch more of your podcasts - thank you!
Ding dong merrily on high 🎄😆- love your love of the hot water bottle cover! After seeing Kelly’s version, I added multiple patterns to my favorites because I’m convinced I need one as well!
Dear Laura. I love seeing you this happy and this excited for CHRISTMAS!! I am 23 and have a complicated relationship with work. It really touched me to see you (and hear you talk about) being confident and proud of your work. I have a lot of years of bad depression behind me and am still struggling with not feeling like I can contribute anything useful. Would you mind sharing how you shifted your perspective on work? I totally respect if it is not something you are comfortable sharing

@@_laurapenrose_ Thank you ❤️ one more reasons why I can't wait for vlogmas to begin
Love, love, love that hot pink bag!!! So classy!!
Sorry, forgot to add this to my previous comment. You look absolutely gorgeous, relaxed and happy (content). Go Laura! So lovely to see you looking so well. 🙏🏻
Can't wait to cast on a hot water bottle cover when it's released 😊 I immediately thought of the Citrine/Citrine Light by Emily Greene. I think it would look lovely with those amazing trousers and interesting enough but plain enough to add fuzz
Your cardigan is so elegant! I’ve had issues with button bands sagging-sometimes due to the weight of buttons, the extra length created by the buttonholes, and wonky row gauge. I have solved the problem by picking up fewer than recommended stitches for the button band, as well as sewing ribbon or bias tape on the inside of the button band to stabilize the length.
Love the cardigan, love Stella (off to buy it next), love the bag and I need a Christmas hot water bottle cover! I can't wait for the release of that!! 😂😂 I'm looking forward to vlogmas too. See you soon ❤
I love the Keep It Warm Sweater by Yeon Hwa Lee. It would be lovely in white fluff. Can’t wait to see your new blanket.
Oh My God Laura!!! You are sucha delight and a source of joy to watch. Thanks you for sharing all your wonderful makes. It’s so from the heart. You are so inspiring. I had to share, I’ve been wanting the same vibe for my Christmas sweater, white , fluffy and sparkly. I have picked the Meissa Pullover by Amy Christophers of Savoury Knitting. It’s got bobbles, texture and fluff ( in my imagination). The yarn I chose is Sandes Garn’s double Sunday with their mohair and Kemke gold sparkle thread. I may not have the time to make it this year but hopefully in the new year.
Lovely to see you doing so well in all your new designs and projects. I think the Purpurea sweater would look beautiful in fluffy white worn with your new trousers, don't know if it's size inclusive though. All the best xxx
You look pretty! Looking forward to vlogmas:)
Congrats on the patterns release. They look lovely. If you want really light and fluffy... I just made a very simple drop shoulder sweater in Drops Alpaca Boucle. It is insane. I love it. It cost maybe 30 euro. Would highly recommend. For Christmas, I made the Festive Yoke Pullover and enjoyed that, but not sure that's what you're after.
That was so refreshing, you look fabulous too.I love your cardigan and all your new designs. So looking forward to vlogmas. Hmm how about a fluffy lovenote ❤
My christmas sweater project will be the Karelia Sweater. I'm knitting it in wool and some gold and silver glittery thread for the details. Not the white and fluffy project you were thinking about, but it's a lot of fun.
Laura what a Beautiful Productive episode. Your Black Cardigan is Gorgeous, the buttons are Perfect, remanence of the 1930’s. The Headband looks Great on You and Actually looks Good with the Cardigan 😍 love the idea of the Diamond / Star Blanket. The Hot Water Bottle Cover is So Beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻 Well Done 🎄 looking forward to Your Vlogmas. Have a Great time at the Wedding and Oh! That Bag!! Is Stunning x❤
I love your wedding cardigan. Gorgeous! I hope you post photos of yourself in the full outfit. You will look stunning! For your sparkly pants I am envisioning something fluffy with poof sleeves. Maybe slightly cropped with a longer ribbed waistband and cuffs? I can’t quite articulate it in writing but I can picture it!! Something elegant that you could also wear again to dress up some jeans or wear with a skirt. And just imagine that pop of pink if you put it with your new beautiful handbag! 🥰 Can’t wait for Vlogmas and hope you enjoy as much as we all do this year. ❤❤
I love all of your new projects! Thank you for the lovely podcast! For inspiration: for a mostly cream/white festive sweater there is the Holly sweater by Pernille Larson from Knitting for Olive (It’s one I want to make for myself !)
Hey Laura, what a joyful episode! I totally share your excitement for Vlogmas! Your makeup is so pretty, it makes your eye colour pop. I love the clutch and wow this would make a wonderful gift. Your hot water bottle covers are great, especially the festive one. Speaking of festive, I recently knit the „Festive Yoke Pullover“ by Skeindeer Knits and for me it is the ultimative Christmas jumper. 🎄 Have a lovely weekend! ~ Kat
You are delightful. Can we see you mini skein collection? Also, your talk about your work journey and changing mindsets and the joy that comes from it was really poignant. Thank you for sharing your experience.

It’s all bagged up for my blanket now, but I’ll try and remember to share it in vlogmas!
Keep it warm sweater is beautiful❤
Hi Laura, I made the Sunday cardigan mohair edition. In the pattern it is recommended to omit knitting the button band every few inches by using a short row turn instead of knitting to the end. This way you can compensate the different row gage. I took this advice, but my cardigan is still a bit pointy in the front. 🤷♀ Hope that helps, love the podcast ❤
I really appreciate the work you are doing, it is always such a joy when a new podcast i out ❤ I think the Lucy Blouse by Luisa Rehkopf would be beautiful in white paired with your sparkly pants ✨❄️ Greetings from Denmark.
I think you would enjoy a wrap cardigan to match your glittery trousers :)
I‘m actually planning on making myself a Soufflé for Christmas, in a nice plum/berry coloured mohair 😊
Oooh, I decided to make your hot water bottle cover for Christmas for my sister, before I knew that you designed it for your sister😊😊😊 I was not entirely sure, I would make it. I already had something else planned for my sister, but I won‘t knit it for her in the end. And there is so much else I want to finish/knit in December…. but now I just have to make it 😃 looking forward for the pattern!!!
You need to wear a headband or a headpiece in black to go along with that black cardigan for the wedding! You know how it is for English 😆 Please make a headband!
I LOVE the RED lipstick! I love the black cardigan. I really love the HOT PINK purse! As for the headband…it is YOU!!!! Love it. Now for the pillow covers…I can not wait to cast on and get started! I am so happy for you to share here on You Tube and I can not wait for Vlogmas🎄
Hello Laura - I’m a fairly new viewer to your channel and am really excited by your Sweet Shop blanket, the Stella Cushion and also the Maxine Hot Water Bottle cover. ❤ Ami Lowden has some lovely patterns that I can imagine in white floof with your sparkly pants - there’s the Whitmoor Jumper/ Cardigan and also the Clandon jumper - can’t wait to see what you decide on!!
Honestly, a fluffy snowy white midlands cardigan came to mind for me for your xmas sweater, but that may be my wishful thinking of wanting that cardigan 🥰
What a treat to find this video 🥰🥰🥰

I think you’re bang on with the reasoning for the button band having a bit of a point. Could you try to crochet a line up the back of each band to add some structure and support the weight of the buttons, similar to what is done with steeking?
@_laurapenrose_

@@rachelmcmillan879 that is a fantastic idea! Thank you! X
I think your cardigan is gorgeous and I actually really like the point at the bottom!
What a lovely podcast and you look amazing ❤🎉 Your look gave me Carrie Bradshaw vibes 😊 headband, pink clutch bag,red lipstick 💄 ❤
This podcast made me smile! I just made a Sunday cardigan with similar modifications, and I also said it made me think of gossip girl! I made up a 2xl size by casting on 4 extra stitches (which gives you 2 extra sunbursts). I think this would also work for bigger sizes e.g. casting on 8 extra stitches for 3xl
Laura I've missed your podcasts, it's so nice to have you back. For your Christmas sweater how about Lily Kate France's Abydos Sweater or the Poison Apple Top, they both have sheer mohair at the top and puffy sleeves, very holiday and it would be stunning with the sparkly pants.
I love seeing the progress in your mental health! Even before you mentioned how great you've been doing I had thought to myself you seem so happy! As for a sweater pattern, maybe a travelers cardigan by Ozetta? Whatever you decide will be amazing!
You are so fun to watch and it is great to hear you talk about your mental health improving. Positive energy and happiness oozing from the screen! All your projects are gorgeous too! For your fluffy white Christmas jumper I think I personally would keep it simple as the pants have a lot of visual interest being shiny and sparkly. A fitted sweater with sleeves that have no decreases at the wrist would compliment the shape of the pants (from what I could tell). Something along the line of Blouse No.1 by MFTK. This is not size inclusive and the gauge is not right. Just to give an idea of the silhouette I am thinking about. I am sure you'll come up with something great! 😊
Victoria Merchant Knits will be releasing a sweater pattern on December 1st called the Belfort sweater! I knit it in a white speckle/suri alpaca combo. It's a round yoke with an easy and cute lace pattern, short rows, and super size inclusive. She also has several patterns that might fit your vibe.
I've JUST cast on the Dunes cardigan by Caidree in white fluffy yarn! I was thinking of it when you were discussing the petite knit cardigan as it is size inclusive 🤗
I love the pointing
Your cardigan is beautiful. Very chic
I use a 9” small circ for such a button band. Easier (for me) because they sort of hang out of the way. Your cardigan looks gorgeous.
