The Knight Is Darkest... (A Nolanverse Lego Batman Story)
When citizens of Gotham go missing, a sinister plot unfolds...
NOTE!! This is set in the Nolanverse, aka The Dark Knight Trilogy, and as such is on the more intense side. Nothing crazy, but could be upsetting to young viewers.
So I've worked on this from two different apartments 6 months apart, and on two different phones. Take a guess where those changes are! Lol, but this project I really wanted to push myself to actually animate movement, tell a story, and test out practical rain and using my led monitor as a backdrop. I also endlessly listened to "Why So Serious?" and "I'm Not A Hero" from the Dark Knight original soundtrack to really understand how to piecemeal it over the video and really bring the vibe I was going for. Pretty darn happy with the result. After the video is over, I threw 4 of my favorite shots in there like I do. Hope you enjoy! Any Questions, feel free to comment!!
Shot on iphone 7 with clip on macro lens occasionally, iPhone 14 pro with its macro option where needed, using the stopmotion studio app, 15 FPS. I used Sony Vegas 15 pro to edit. Blue yeti mic for voiceover, my iPhone for some other voiceover ie laughing in the car alone maniacally XD. I think thats everything.

i enjoy seeing fan fic. especially when using lego to tell the story like this. I can see the scarecrow and the joker teaming up. that works.

I’m shook. More episodes immediately. So many great elements. The voice acting. The RAIN. But my absolute favorite was the expert lighting. Phenomenal.

This is very cool, great work but when does it take place? Between TDK and rises, because the dent act is mentioned? But batman retired after TDK?

Thanks, and excellent question! I like to think of it as kind of an alternate to Dark Knight Rises, like what could have taken place if they were able to bring joker back. I know I didn’t quite address Bruce in retirement and isolation, but only so much I could do 😅
Story line 10/10, but amination needs a bit more work, but still great job
