My jig arrived to Dallas, TX ten days after placing an order. The quality of the jig is superb. Craftsmanship is outstanding. Put it to a test sharpening my chef knife and the results knocked my socks off. There is no way I could have achieved the same results sharpening by hand . Great tool and thank you Mr. Kadlec.

Great - I especially loved the cup of coffee bit!
You have created quite a nice sharpening jig. I'm impressed. Thank you for showing us how you created it.
It's a large version of the Lansky sharpener, very nice work.
Got my sharpening jig roughly 2 weeks after purchasing and now use it since a few weeks and I'm happy that I bought it. Thanks Michal for this great tool and the fast delivery

Got it as a Christmas gift for my mum. Works super well, especially with larger knifes one achieves incredibly precise results. I recommend to start with a stretched bar and work with the stone towards the knife as you move along the edge. So basically push the stone in the direction of the knife. It is also shown in the video. This prevents the stone from being damaged by the plade as there's more control when the tip of the blade is reached. Also it is necessary to check and readjust the angle after the first stroke. Begin with a slightly larger angle then after the first stroke have a very close look at the blade and lower the angle. Repeat until it is perfect.

Got the jig delivered to Australia with no problems. Fantastic product and waaaay better than some of the more expensive sharpening jigs i have bought. I especially like the fact that you can use full size sharpening stones (just make sure you use similar thickness stones tho). Gives you fantastic razor sharp knives.

Tommy thank you. My greetings to Italy my friend.
Nice craftsmanship and beautiful design. I was looking for something like this because I still want to use my old stones. Do you think the stone holder would lose stability if one would build a frame for the stone which would hold the stone on the sides? So that you could just flip the stoneholder around instead of removing the stone and reattaching it for using the other side?
Hi Michal, congratulations to a fantastic Product. May I as what is the smallest angle you can adjust on your jig ? Also, which dimensions (length) of the stone fits to your jig ? Best regards from Sweden.
O aparelho está muito bem feito e o Sr deve ter mesmo muita confiança pois arriscou colocar o dedo bem à frente do formão (?). Com a quantidade de ferramentas que possui, mal parecia que fizesse má figura.
Hi Mate. I have sent you an e-mail. Awesome work !!
Ist's a *great* piece of workmanship Michal !👌 If You're willing to listen to my advice: If You slit the holes of the "jizzle-like"clamp- that fixates the blade/knife to the wodden block ist's easier to fixate broader blades. It would also be nice if You grind a square 40x20x10mm deep into the wodden block to hold the blade with an N52 neodym magnet the same size. The advance of the more narrow whetstones, which originally came with Apex are just about 20mm wide, so You're able to sharpen koncave internal rounded blades like karambits or hand-scissels. Also is a smaller wooden stone-holder-block lighter and easier to move with less weight esp. on curved knive tips =>less pressure to the edge and tip of the blade. The quality of Your product is *way better* than the Chinese or even Lansky ones 👌👍🙋 I'd *love* if You're improving Your product to *all sizes* => width => of whetstones 20 - 100mm=> needs to slim the wooden stone-holder-block to 25mm and a carved in 60° phase into the middle of the steel stone-brackets .😉
Hi michal, very nice product. Can you advise the height from the from the jig when all is mounted? Thanks
Have used your jig for several years. It's really good. I fall down on the sharpening technique - like Which stone will give me a burr? How much to use every stone? How many stones in a sharpening set? What's the angle for sharpening scissors?
Hi my friend, how can I make one of those magic, coffee making boxes??? But seriously I love this video, great production quality as well as very informative. Please let me know if you ever decided to sell one of those jigs, I would love to have one and there is no way I can make one. Thank u and keep it up
I recommed a linear bearing on the shaft to reduce friction
Nice!
Good Job Dude! This Tool rocks every Knife.... ✌️

Hola amigo buen trabajo.q medidas tiene el afilador q fabricaste.saludos man.
What kind of oil do you use for the leather strop? Great job. Thanks
Do you sale the build plans? Nice job ,earlier I got bugged from pointless noise but like your finish Thanks and thumbs up
Your work is very beautiful, professional and professional, but can I ask you for a request? I want the name of the application that I use on your mobile phone in the size of the semicircle to determine the required degree. Thank you
Very cool design. How much for just the jig? I already have the stones that I need.

Wow... 😮👍
My biggest problem with this setup is the constant impression that the stone may not be attached firm enough, then seeing it falling and breaking in 100 pieces. Otherwise it's awesome to not depend on expensive specific size stones anymore.
Hi Michal! great videos and great handywork! Will the jig work to sharpen a 10 to 12 inches long knives? And if you ship to Puerto Rico?

I'm sorry but I don't want to recommend that machine for the precission work, It is quite a good for woodworking, but not for metalworking. I'm sure it comes from China, the selling pricee was abour USD 500. Anyway I use it, but I'm sure I will get the stronger one for metalworking.

1:05 It is so dangerous to push the wood all the way through the table saw with his hands. If the wood kicks, he's losing some digits!
where can I order this from?
