Fantastic live performance as only The Kinks can play. They definitely kick ass! Arrogant guitar riffs played by Dave and biting text by Ray. This is from a concert in the early 80's. It shows that the whole band is enjoying themselves. GSTK!

Dave and Hendricks defined the eclectic guitar sound. Dave’s guitar is raw and cool - not overdone. He’s top!

Rolling Stone lists Dave at # 99 in its list of 100 greatest guitar player in rock history. Somehow, I don't think RS listing give him enough credit. More like #30!

This is my fave late period Kinks song. I wore out the groove on my vinyl record because I played this song over and over. This one and the much more gentle and optimistic "Better Days" from the same album.

I'm 9 years late but I think the song your referring to is "Better things". This whole album is great. Throughout the 60's, 70's, & 80's Ray Davies is an incredible songsmith and the Kinks an incredible band.

This has to be early 1980's. Mick Avory on Drums. John Dalton on Bass. Dave and Ray in great and perfect form. Thank you for posting this. Cannot imagine not ever having the Kinks.
