Ali went on to speak about Elvis often after he died. " I admire no man, but Elvis Presley was the sweetest man I've ever met". The thing that set these two legends apart is they believed they could achieve what appeared impossible when they dared to dream it. Elvis told his little friends someday he would own 2 Cadillacs and they laughed at him.He went on to own hundreds. He told his mamma one day he would buy her a beautiful house and at 19 or 20 he did with the first million he made. Ali kept telling himself I'm the greatest and thats what he became. Greatness is achieved through ambition, guts and belief. These 2 saw this in each other and admired it.Vicki

'The People's Champ' was what the black community called Muhammad Ali. The fact that Elvis was aware of that goes to show that he was up on what was going on in the black community and that it mattered to him. Very telling.

Elvis's heaviest outfit was his American Eagle (Aloha) jumpsuit, which weighed 75lbs, and the first cape alone weighed 20lbs, I don't know how much his belts weighed. Most of the others weighed 30-40 lbs, all made from gabardine, a very flexible fabric. They were lined with silk, and yes, Elvis used to sweat loads, not surprisingly, the fabric was heavy and hot when moving about on stage under lights!⚡✌

It's not the precise weight that is important but the extent Elvis would go to give the best performance and presentation to his loving fans. That is why he is so missed and loved by so many around globe. ELVIS WAS AND IS SPECIAL FOR NOT ONLY HIS MANY TALENTS BUT MOST OF ALL HIS KINDNESS, GENEROSITY AND HUMANITY!

I'm a professional writer and used to do a series of columns on Elvis, while Ali and Elvis genuinely admired and loved one another. What's wonderful, too, given their very similar stature and fame is that the BOTH of them are known to be the two kindest human beings who ever lived. It's not too well known, either, but I confirmed it with Elvis' bodyguards..... But Elvis secretly went and spent a few days with Ali at his training camp in Pennsylvania. Another great story related to the robe, and shows the good humor of the men, is that Elvis actually leg swept Ali and the champ went to the ground with everything very tense for a moment until Ali started cracking up. Keep up the great work and best of luck to you, my friend!

I brought it up and he said, no, that Never happened. He said, Elvis and I met twice in Vegas. Elvis did ask him to ride back to Memphis with him in his Cadillac station wagon. A few days before the trip, Ali’s mother ended up in the hospital and Ali had to cancel. But, they kept in touch throughout the years. Sorry to be the one to say it didn’t happen.

Man, Elvis was an 8 times Black Belt, when he kicked you, you felt it but, Ali knew Elvis didn't mean to hurt him that's why The Champ started laughing, he seen the look on Elvis' face and, he wanted Elvis to know it was alright! There was 4 men that tried to jump Elvis on stage in Vegas one night and, Elvis' bodyguards got 2 of them, Elvis Karate chopped the other 2 and kicked them plum off the stage with his arms and legs! 1 of the fan's got hit when he kicked them off stage and Elvis about went off! He said, I'm sorry ladies and, gentlemen! I'm sorry I didn't break their GD neck and, there would never be anyone else do that at my shows, he meant it too! The fan's was hollering for Elvis to watch out is what let Elvis know they were almost to him, Elvis didn't see them at first!

*** Here is the ENTIRE MUHAMMAD ALI SPEECH that he gave at Elvis' Memorial: "We black people are kinda funny about music. We aren’t going to follow someone unless they’ve got some Soul. Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Micheal Jackson, but, the only white boy that had soul and could sing as good as ANY of them was Elvis. A lot of great singers who are black, but, one man literally as good as anybody, put all those brothers together there’s none any better than Elvis Presley. Singing ability, he a had everything, and he was pretty, I know. And when it comes to boxing nobody has the class, the style, the wit, the speed and beauty of Ali. And when it comes to singing nobody had everything like Elvis. And the last thing, we must understand, he did lot for poor people, he cared for people, he had a good heart, he just wasn't a person who was great with talent, but he was great in spirit and with God in his heart, and this is great too. I realize how good I am in my profession, I wouldn't praise nobody if he don't deserve it, because I am the greatest of all time in boxing, in boxing. I said boxing ! But I'm telling you, not just you all, the Elvis fans, so naturally you praise Elvis, he's of European race as you are, but I'm Black, I'm a Islamic, I'm 100% different from you. But I’ll tell the world Elvis was the greatest of all time. I'm a Muslim who's black who stands up for what he believes. I don't have to say what I don't feel, I'm not false, I don't have to say this. I have no Bosses. I'm free. He to me, is one of the greatest singers, actors and all round men of all time.” ~

Elvis recorded exactly 769 songs ..... Did 31 Movies ..... 2 Documentaries ..... Did over 1100 Concerts in the Seventies ..... Once you know Elvis ..... You know he did it all ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ..... WE BID YOU GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY AND WELCOME ABOARD .....PLEASE ABOVE ALL .....Keep your hands ..... Arms ..... And legs inside your seat at all times ..... To avoid hitting nearby ..... Supporters ..... People ..... And other objects ..... Try to Sit properly in your seat without twisting around ..... kneeling ..... Or otherwise rearranging your body in a way that may compromise the effectiveness of the safety restraints built -in ..... Which are the arm rests ..... Seat belts ..... Or a handrail ..... Or any other form of safety device if so equipped ..... OR .....You may just end up holding on to any other life forms in your area ..... After all they too are being sucked in ..... Or hell ..... You may have to just hang on for dear life on your own ..... Above all ..... Enjoy the ride ..... To help you catch up ..... There were two different actual filming of THE ALOHA FROM HAWAII Special that happened ..... The Rehearsal ..... AND ..... The Show that aired around the world first ..... And that over 1 1/2 billion { with a B } though satellite around the world at that time watched it ..... Never attempted before ..... ELVIS WAS THE FIRST SOLO PERFORMER EVER ..... To do a satellite show ..... And I guess it should be watched and now an ungodly amount sense then ..... Think about this ..... How many of the 11/2 Billion back then could not speak English ..... And the ungodly scene ..... {MIND BLOWING } Isn't it ..... For Instants here is "what now my love" filmed recordings of the 1973 Hawaii show ..... The rehearsal show ..... And the show that aired .....What Now My Love {Both shows a filled to capacity in Hawaii ..... Both Recorded only one the Second show aired } ..... for instance ..... Here is the rehearsal of the song ..... What Now My Love ..... kzread.info/dash/bejne/nJyGqMxxj8K7g5s.html ..... And here is the show ..... kzread.info/dash/bejne/h6Serc6IfZqxgZc.html ..... The endings are different ..... But both sound the same till then ..... What a talent ..... Who else but Elvis .... Could do two life performances and sound the same Both till he changed the ending on them .... Both are a gift from Elvis ..... Once Elvis sings it ..... Anyone else's recording fades away ..... Heard this over and over ..... And I still listen all the way though ..... Listening to Elvis singing has all-ways lifted up my life ..... No matter how much it sucked ..... He is my brother and my greatest friend ..... Elvis is Elvis ..... What more can one say ..... NOTE: And he did these things for the people in need ..... In 1961, he performed a concert to build the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and raised more than $65,000. And 12 years later, Elvis donated the proceeds from his 1973 “Aloha from Hawaii” satellite-concert to the Kui Lee cancer fund..... Raised $75,000 ..... And he did it for all the world ..... Here is that link ..... www.iheartelvis.net/elvis-pictures/elvis-his-generosity-was-amazing ...... Who else but Elvis .... I saw Elvis lots of times live ..... Never paid over $ 25.00 a ticket ..... Elvis said ..... He would never make anyone pay to much to see him ..... And he never did ..... Lets see any one now do that ..... People pay a-lot more now for a-lot less ..... PERIOD ..... As he left all his recordings just for us .....And so here is another gift from the king ..... Elvis Presley - " Life " ..... kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmiXuc2GiNWtmtI.html ....{{ Elvis recorded EXACTLY 769 songs }} ..... And he did them better than ..... ANYONE ELSE COULD ..... ANYONE ..... PERIOD ..... Once you know Elvis ..... You know Music ..... And you know he had and did it all ..... No Brag ..... Just Fact ..... BIG N ...

I won a radio show contest and the prize was a day with Elvis but our friendship lasted past that one day in time. All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never ever share again on youtube because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. I walk past Graceland everyday. Love from the one and only Memphis Tn.

Return to Sender & Bosa Nova Baby, this will give you even more of an idea of Elvis’s talent and versatility. 💕💕💕 oh and Come on everybody with Anne Margaret - amazing. 💕💕 Not only was Elvis a black belt, he was a 7th Dan black belt. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The King of Rock and Roll and The King of the Ring ,.it doesn't get any better than that. Elvis and Ali had a mutual respect for one another. Ali was the greatest fighter of all time , and he was a part-time comedian , too.... His little rhyming poems before and sometimes after a fight always cracked me up. Ali could be a very funny guy....Poor Howard Cosell was often Ali's straight man and Ali loved joking around with him ...Yes, there was Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, Martin and Lewis , and Ali and Cosell. LOL!

Yep at 6:48 ..Elvis squared up with Ali in his suite ..Elvis did a leg sweep and put Ali on his ass. Two seconds after that pic was taken..No joke ..of course them going in the ring it wouldn't be a contest . But Elvis using Karate ...it was quick. That being said Ali looked great in the robe. The white material and colored rhinestones against his dark skin.. 👍 Two Capricorns , both from Memphis , grew up in poverty.. Very good commentary ..👍👍

Muhammed Ali said Elvis was too pretty to fight. Of course coming from Ali that was a compliment since he considered himself the prettiest. I suppose you know Elvis on his first meeting with Ali took a martial arts stance, Ali in response took a menacing boxing pose. Elvis did a leg swipe and knocked the World Champion boxer on his ass... instant friendship. Ali's bodyguards👀! Elvis' bodyguards👀! BTW that song you were dancing to was from the Godfather of Soul who was a very dear friend of the King of Rock n' Roll

I know about it happening, but I've never seen the video! Elvis was a bad ass! He used his security guys as sparring partners and hurt a few of them, he was also known to shoot the screens out of his TV's! I don't know if I'd have the Nads to sweep Ali!!!!

When Elvis rehearsed he wore weights on his wrists and ankles to build up his muscles do when he wore those heavy jumpsuits he'd be able to move freely carrying the extra weight.
