I'm with you Len. For Christians the crucifixion of Christ for our sins and his rising from the dead are central to our faith. Without them there is no forgiveness and no hope. Islam rejects Jesus death on the cross by saying that someone died in his place. Therefore there is no resurrection in Islam. That being the case we are worshipping different Gods. The first commandment is to have no other God.

I therefore fall back on the earliest form of monarchy, the Anglo-Saxon, where primogeniture was rare, power-plays commonplace, and the determinant was the Witan. The late Queen's closest council after Philip was Sophie Wessex, from my own stable, Dulwich Prep, at the age when our characters formed. In that framework rather than the Hanoverian, Edward has a better claim, but I'm actually quite a fan of William's, as I know of certain events in his youth which saw him test himself to the highest standards - and pass in his own right. It was only then that he was recognised! If Charles were to abdicate in William's favour, then I'll celebrate, not now, Radagast the Brown should stand aside. A young King with little liking for most of the staff of the Family Firm, who've caused utter anarchy for nearly 80 years, is a new broom sweeping very clean indeed.

I really don’t know much of our UK history so I looked up chuck the first. Apparently he dissolved parliament multiple time because it wouldn’t give him the money for some stupid wars so they took his head off. I am I no way suggesting any violence to anyone at all but as an Australian I don’t see any relevance for a monarchy this day and age . Just a figure head.

I don't believe that Charles has a relationship with the Lord as his saviour at ALL. If he did, and I'm sorry to bring up an old subject, but if Charles did have that relationship with Jesus, he would NOT have committed adultery, for YEARS. His conscience would have bothered him so much because if the Holy Spirit is IN a person, he/she cannot sin against that Holy Spirit. You get convicted of that sin so fast, that you HAVE to repent and stop doing it. Charles is not a Christian and if he was, he wouldn't be bringing in all these other false religions into his coronation ceremony. It would be an abomination to him as it is to GOD and to true Christians.

I really can't understand why our Christian identity is fading more and more into the background and this in so many countries in Europe. I am Swiss and live in Switzerland, I belong to the Old Catholic Church, which is (with the Bonn Agreement 1931) a sister church in full communion with the Anglican Church. Together with the Anglican parish and our Old Catholic parish we celebrates sometimes worship together. We have to stand up for our Christian faith and show that we are and want to be Christians ! - We want to pray with you all for King Charles III - and for all people ! Christ is the head of the Church. Queen Elizabeth was a beacon of light who held her Christian faith and would share it whenever she could. Charles is not worthy to follow her, but it is what it is. We have to pray that Charles will understand his Christian duty as the king. Every knee will bow to Christ, and he needs to understand that means now and not just at the judgement. God bless you

Every knee "will" bow, not is bowing now. It is future in that reference, and is speaking of the judgement day. We are in a secular, unbelieving world and that is how it has always been. Our Lord Himself said, Render to Caesar what is Caesar's - He did not expect the Romans to bow to Him when He was in His humble role.

A few weeks ago I attended the Eucharistic service at Westminster Abbey and prayed that the church would stick to its teachings for the coronation…

Charles wants it all. He wants the coronation and his own way. I am relieved the C of E is standing up for what is right for once.

You are spot on, why would they even want to contribute to something they don't believe in, I pray it goes ahead as it should as a Christian ceremony if not I will not be watching as I would rather follow "my king" our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏

I’m afraid that the church is fully on board with the ideology of the WEF, and Agendas 21 and 2030. These things are not spiritual matters.

It sounds to me that Charles no longer considers himself a Christian. Also he wants to implement the ideology of WEF and UN, and ignore the British govt., constitution and its laws. He really should abdicate.

The reality is this is giving each of us an opportunity to explain the Gospel and why Jesus is the only way to salvation.

He is showing his true colours.... which is not as King of England at all. He is a signed up member of the WEF and they are slowly and sneakily bringing us back to Rome.

If the coronation means that King Charles is given the power, sustenance and approval to deal effectively with his son and daughter in law. I hope the energy is endowed upon him, when the crown is put on his head. I’ll pray his life is made less stressful than the last few years have appeared to be. Wow God is so good, I'm spanish and live in the Canary Islands but when I was a child I lived in England for 4 years and did the first comunión in Saint Francis Church in the year 1989 in Maidstone!!! I can't belive how good God is he took me there, I learned English and had my first comunión with Christ and I just woke up from a long journey where I've finally put all the the pieces of the puzzle together in Jesus name wow. I was so blind and so far from God. I'm so thankful for what he has done for me😢😢 he gave his life for me and for all the world. 36 years after that first comunion in St Francis Church, I am born again in Christ. I pray everyone I've preached the gospel, gets saved in Jesus name. I'm alone but with God. And listening to you brother , has brought me so much joy remembering those days when I lived in England. You're right! Jesus will come again but until then we need to keep watching and waiting and keep close to Jesus and keep serving Him.

The King has to be crowned & take the oath , although he became King when the Queen Passed on. That's an act by parliament. King Edward was the uncrowned king & kicked out of England by his mother Queen Mary, when he married twice devorcee.

It was Parliament who revoked Edward viii's titles and style of HRH when he abdicated. It was George v (his younger brother) who granted him the title of Duke of Windsor George v also granted "David" (i.e. D of Windsor) the style of HRH. But much to David's anger Wallis Simpson was never given an HRH Nor were either David or Wallis allowed to reside in UK again. Both are now buried at the cemetery near Frogmore House on the Great Windsor Estate.

Charles is too woke for his own good… talk about the end of an era the day Queen EII passed…

Doesn't Charles understand? While Anglicanism is England's official religion, people are free to belong to other religions or to none. That is, in effect, a defense both of The Faith and of faith... But if you pretend all positions and religions are of equal standing, you get much middle and worse.

Actually, the Defensor Fidei title was granted because Henry VIII was the first of the Conciliar monarchs to recognise Papal Supremacy at a time when the Papacy took a nose dive into Florentine Banking, which pretty soon demonstrated what a mistake it was. However, the Papacy undoubtedly sees the Monarch as schismatic.

As for Charles, if it wasn't for the heritage matter, I think he'd be of his own choice somewhere in the Wiccan community. Patrick Hawes' Highgrove Suite refers to this, in the Goddess of the Woods - Diana's instrument was the harp - and in the Gladiator, looking beyond the statue to Charles. That being said, Charles has created something of a Mass structure in the works he's commissioned for his coronation, although I see nothing of the penitential in the opening pieces, and there is a wider sense of the Commonwealth in its place.

I love watching the Coronation Ceremony of Her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the number of Church services held to commemorate the various significant and historic dates during her reign. The Christian Church ceremonies of the Catholic Church and Anglican Church are traditionally beautiful and awesome. Dear Christians let's all recall that we are honouring Our Most Blessed Lord in such services and it's from Him alone all blessings flow. Great Britain has been God's blessings to the world in History. Let's not be unmindful of all those blessings and to give thanks and praise to that One and Only God Who loves the world so much and been our constant benefactor. He alone has given us the sight of His Face and we have known and loved Him. May our love and gratitude live in our hearts even into Eternity.

Quite probably, Charles, despite being fairly outspoken on a number of issues, knows that there is nothing to be gained or achieved by raising the issue. In any case, it's not up to him. It's a political issue and the law involved is for Parliament, not the King to decide. I doubt anyone in the government has any incentive to examine the issue either.

The apparent robustness of the Bishops is welcome but it's a pity they didn't display their role as the Good Shepherd during the "pandemic", the closing of any premises made no sense just as mask wearing was pure theatre, at the very time that people were under state mandated psychological oppression the Church, most notably in the form of "I'm on a sabattical" Welby, that was a disgrace.

Read the Parable of the Tares. Jesus tells us the answer and what we need to do. Praying for England and the UK every day. God had blessed Great Britain richly in History; may He keep her in the Faith that has made her great.

Not being from the U.K. can someone explain what has changed to allow King Charles to be King? If King Edward VIII could not be king because of divorce, and Princess Margaret could not marry Group Captain Townsand for the same reason, what has changed to allow Charles to be crowned king? Just curious.

I think it was likely the queens wishes on this , but she isn’t here to ask her , I guess it changed after Diana died and Camilla grew into her role finally being at peace with the two , but of course this is my own thought and opinion , it could be something else .

The Church of England got started because King Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife and marry a younger woman, and the Pope wouldn't give permission. So Henry proclamed himself head of the Church in England so that he could divorce and remarry.

It does seem rich that the church makes these restrictions about other faiths being present in the Coronation service yet they seem very keen to bless homosexual unions and welcome transsexuality into the church.

Yes, King Charles is Defender of the Faith and is to do that boldly without compromise. The theme of defending the Church of England and Monarch is in a movie starring Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, called "Fire Over England" - the final scene shows the Queen praying a Christian prayer with her supporters.

As the King he is the head of state to all of us whatever our faith or not, he isn’t just HoS of Christians. It is predominantly a Christian service (rightly so) but there is no issue that people of other faiths cannot acknowledge him as King at the very ceremony that he is anointed. Jesus Christ reached out to all whether a follower of Judaism or not, was Jesus wrong in reaching out to others.

Thank you, Rev. Dan. It's so refreshing hearing an Anglican minister speaking The Truth about the Gospel, and the seriousness of this issue of the Coronation. It's most interesting and significant that none of the leaders of other religions are even asking to be involved in the service at all, and are happy for it to remain a Christian service. It seems that it is only Woke Charles who is keen to involve them. This is virtue signalling at its worst. It is good to see the Anglican church leaders showing evidence of some gonads at last. Maybe the only reason for that is that they are upholding tradition and Canon Law, and not necessarily the inerrant, inspired Word of God. However, it is a shame that they are not standing up for Scripture when it comes to the other issue much on people's minds at the moment. I think this shows inconsistency and weakness and lack of spiritual leadership, which simply reinforces the opinion of most, that the Church of England is a laughing stock and irrelevant in modern society. They bend over backwards to be more like the world in order to encourage more people in, and never seem to learn the lesson that this has completely the opposite effect. Many years ago a clergyman friend of ours moved to a church in the Midlands with a congregation of the proverbial 2 1/2 old ladies and a dog. He preached the Gospel from the hip (and the heart!) - no holds barred! Half his congregation left, offended, and people warned him saying that he would kill off the church and the money would dry up. However, a mere year later, the place was heaving, with all ages attending, and people coming to saving faith in droves. I'd never seen the like. This man is now with the Lord and I think he would be horrified at what is going on today. The words of the National Anthem hold even greater significance today. "God save the king." Yes, he needs to be saved and to put his trust in the Lord Jesus alone. One only has to read the Books of Kings and Chronicles in the Old Testament to see the way the nation goes under either a bad or a good king. Good spiritual leadership is absolutely essential. I miss our Queen so much... Keep up the work, Rev. Dan - keep preaching the wonderful Gospel of the Lord Jesus, and may the Lord bless you richly and protect you and your family in these dark days. We take a risk these days speaking out boldly for the Lord but what a wonderful reward it will be on that Day when He says to you, ""Well done, My good and faithful servant."

You are spot on about the importance of kings exercising their roles in accordance with God's plan. May King Charles III understand this too, otherwise the future of the UK will be imperilled by him. The history of the Jewish people in the Old Testament scriptures could not be clearer on this. 70 years under the leadership of Her Majesty, whose Christian faith was sincere, overt and exemplary, has seen our country enjoy a largely peaceful and prosperous era. It is no accident.

My Godmother served as one of her dressers for several years and became intimate with her, and she always said that the Queen's faith was deep, authentic and sincere, and the driving force of her life. I was born 3 days before her Coronation and have lived my whole nearly 70 year life with her on the throne, and feel her loss greatly.

@MultiJosh80 I'm not a member of any organised religion but I agree wholeheartedly with you. The C of E does not appear to follow any Christian teaching at present.

Does anyone know the principles the bishops use? It seems strange that they stand firmly on principle and tradition re. the coronation, but on many other issues they happily turn far away from them. Is there not canon law that defines the traditional marriage ceremony, for example? It’s the inconsistency that is confusing. I’m left with no idea what the bishops actually believe or will ‘make a stand’ on.

Jesus will save us

I am not COE , nor part of England; although in Canada there is still a traditional link to the English Monarchy. From my point of view the whole issue is moot anyway. Once King Henry left the Catholic Faith and dragged (under pain of death) the Catholic Church in England with him; then both lost their link with the original Christian Church. The Monarchy lost its divine tie with Christianity; and the religous side of the Church lost its Apostolic Succession, and their sacredotal priesthood. So there is no more divine perogative for the English Monarchy; nor is their a valid priesthood remaining to be able to annoint anything.

@@johncurran2371 Yes; that is the generalized preisthood we all share through our baptism; when each of us are annointed as 'priest, prophet, and king'. That is far different than the sacredotal priesthood which was given to the Apostles for specific tasks, such as absolving sins in the name of Jesus within confession (John 20:23), or in presiding over a valid eucharist (Lk 22:19, and "Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it." St. Ignatius 110AD). Likewise in the OT, even though the Adamic priesthood belonged to each male child as head of their family; when they brought the lambs to the temple in preparation for the Passover, the lamb was handed to a priest and the person didn't push the priest out of the way and claim a right to do it themselves. If that was the case then when Elizabeth11 died there should have been a vote or let a known holy mystic annoint someone to see who would be the next King from among the general population and not assume Charles somehow had the right to take the throne (like when David was chosen to replace Saul). For awhile after King Henry destroyed the Church in England, the bishops and priests did retain their Apostolic Sucession and valid sacredotal priesthood. But when they went mucking and messing with the theology such that 'Form, Intent, and Material' changed then it ceased. Now Rev Dan or any 'bishop' within the COE has any more ability to annoint anything or confect a Eucharist than any baptized person who drops into a Holloween shop and gets the right costume can. That is why you see the whole thing deteriorate to where you now have women 'priestess' and 'bishop-esses', divorce, contraception, abortion, gay-marriage, etc. infiltrating the system. The theology changed such that anyone who cares to can take on the role if they are baptized and feel like doing it on any given Sunday. If the so called clergy of the COE of any of the laity (which is everyone in the COE) want to return to the Apostolic Faith of Christianity; then they know what they have to do.

Im not Anglican and recognise their many errors. But their original articles of faith rightly described the popish mass to be blasphemous fables and dangerous deceits. And our first Protestant King, Edward VI, wrote a treatise on why the pope is anti Christ. Just because Catholics claim that the Roman Catholic church is the original church, does not make it true. A church which adheres to bible doctrine has a better claim to be Christ's church. No statues, praying to and for the dead, Mary worship, saint veneration, pagan prayer beads, the mass, priestly confessional, infallibility of the pope etc. What happened to limbo and why the dogma change on prohibition of eating meat on a Friday? Papacy is truly anti Christ. It has overseen the slaughter of circa fifty million souls in the name of Catholicism.

Thank you God for giving them the strength to refuse.
