Try to tell kids who thought ‘Joker’ was some kind of breakout, new kind of film, about this…

"I don't know if a film like the king of comedy could ever be made today"- almost 40 yrs later the premise is ripped off for joker lmao

This movie is brilliant and has become 1,000x more relevant as the years have passed. Cool to see some BTS!

It's year 2022 and still relevant. Classic movie. People in the 80s didn't appreciate it then, what a shame.

Huge respect for DeNiro to be so enthusiastic and insistent about doing this role, and fairly early in his career.

My first girlfriend was a huge Sandra Bernhard fan and she showed this film to me. I was blown away by it. Decades later I’m glad this film is taking its place as one of Scorsese’s best.

This reminds me of the man who waited so long he forgot what he was waiting for. Great movie.

Bob De Niro is amazing in this. I forgot that I was watching him. He played the character so well. He wanted to be validated and seen so badly that I felt it.

I loved this little doc. What a masterpiece of a film! I can watch it over & over again & still see new, fresh details in it. And Sandra Bernhard was really funny & honest, especially about the gentrification of the city.

" tonight, i think anything could happen " by Masha is also said by Rosanna Arquette in After Hours. Same big Evening by same Martin Scorsese.

Robert De Niro should win an Oscar with that role. Brilliant.

This is my favourite film. De Niro plays me. I've never forgiven him, but my day will also come.

Masha's character was brilliantly acted; a sense of real craziness...off the wall and completely nuts.Sandra Bernhart is a brilliant actress/performer.
