About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done,” which has since been referenced by the likes of U2 and Coldplay. The band toured for two years straight behind Hot Fuss, playing more than four-hundred shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown entitled Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent forty-two weeks on the Billboard Top 200.A b-sides collection entitled Sawdust was released in 2007, followed by their third studio album, Day & Age, which was released to widespread critical praise in 2008, anchored by massive single “Human.”The Killers released Battle Bornin September 2012, which saw them expanding their world tour into countries they’ve never visited before, and finally were honored to perform at the world-renowned Wembley Arena, one of the most monumental and significant shows of their career. After a decade of making music, in November 2013, The Killers released a “Best Of” collection, Direct Hits, which featured two incredible new songs alongside classics from the band’s revered catalogue. The band, who have sold over twenty-five million albums worldwide, and headlined all of the world’s top festivals (Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury), released their newest studio album, Wonderful Wonderful, in September 2017, where it landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart the week of its release, as well a stopping the charts in the U.K. and Australia. The album is the band’s fifth consecutive number one in the U.K., and Brandon Flowers’ seventh U.K. number one overall.

Great song. Beautiful looking Mr Brandon Richard Flowers.😍
The best fuckin band of the world. 😍❤
personally one of my fav songs from day and age. what a shame it never got the attention as the other songs.
This song is so wholesome
Fuck. So The Killers were one of those bands I grew up with (born in 1990) as they were coming out with their first 3 albums (scientifically, you tend to attach yourself to the music you were listening to when you were between 14 and 16). Hot Fuss is an absolute banger. Sam's Town is basically a grittier Hot Fuss with a little less creativity and a whole lot more Brandon style writing. Day & Age was initially a head scratcher for me. I enjoyed Human. Joy Ride. Sometimes Losing Touch. Before I continue, this anecdote needs a little background. As I am now growing into my 30s, I am now realizing that my mother was indeed "always right" and she obsessively wants to always do the right thing and take charge of a situation and shoulder a lot of responsibility. I am now realizing that that is what I have been aspiring to. When we were kids though, we never really appreciated the effort she put forth. We took for granted how she was the facilitator for my brother's, my father's, and my own happiness. She never wanted picked the movie, the restaurant, the next CD to listen to on family vacation. She certainly shared with us those moments, but she took pride and found joy in just taking care of the stuff nobody thinks about or wants to do or is afraid to start. I was a shitty son. I did not understand. So when my mother had an opinion I felt it necessary to be against that. I felt trapped in the family run by her. But I was a kid. She had every right to. She immediately really liked this song. Now while synthpop is not my thing, I can appreciate "good music" in any genre. I listened to this song less because she liked it. Now her I am listening with ears that have not heard it close to a decade. After studying and growing so much as an amateur musician (according to my definition) throughout my life (especially the past 3 years) and falling in love with music... This is a really, really good song. My mother is always right. It breaks my heart that I was such a shitty kid. I am forever in her debt, constantly trying to repay her, all while trying to navigate this increasingly difficult life. I am tired. I am sad. And there exist so many more heartbreaking anecdotes than joyful ones. In my opinion.

This is world that we live in I feel myself get tired This is the world that we live in Well maybe I was mistaken I heard a rumor that you quit this day and age Well maybe I was mistaken Bless your body, bless your soul Pray for peace and self control I gotta believe it's worth it Without a victory, I'm so sanctified and free Well maybe I'm just mistaken Lesson learned and the wheels keep turning This is the world that we live in I can't take blame for two This is the world that we live in And maybe we'll make it through Bless your body, bless your soul Reel me in and cut my throat Underneath the waterfall Baby we're still in this This is the world that we live in Feel myself get tired This is the world that we live in I had a dream that I was falling, down There's no next time around A storm wastes its water on me But my life was free I guess it's the world that we live in It's not too late for that This is the world that we live in And no, we can't go back This is the world that we live in I still want something real This is the world that we live in I know that we can heal over time This is the world that we live in 🌍😊👌

I still love this song
Such a good voice
They are the best band from the 2000s
my favourite and song that really describes this f.... world on a artist way just like Killers can do,big respect to all fans from Zg,Croatia
This song is so relevant right now.
DAY & AGE 😍
BEST song from Killers!!!
The world where we live in, we can't go back. Very much fitting the last 2.5 years.
Love the old uploads, great throwbacks.
Before they started to reupload these music videos I didn't know there was a video for this and Smile Like You Mean It. This is probably my favorite song from Day & Age ❤️
I LOVEEEE THIS SONG! One of their best.
Thanks Ronie and Brandon for not abandoning us The best band of all time Brazil awaits in March
Pretty decent video. Gives a mix of oddly nostalgic wife shots of a landscape and a video you would find early in the morning on MTV that you would be mesmerized by
I realize this is an older song but it's new to me and the lyrics resonate deep to my heart because it's getting to the place I've been feeling the last year or so over the heartbreak and how a vulnerable person may see the world somewhat unprotected and exposed to the harsher elements."I heard a rumor that you quit this day and age" for me that's a truth I've been feeling for some time.. I don't feel like I should've been born in this generation .. it's not for me , I don't fit in and no longer even want to try and comprehend the cruelty vanities selfishness and plain narcissistic view of the current society and what the media would have us try and accept as "normal" but as you sing,"This is the world that we live in, I feel myself get tired". I'm super burnt out on the worldliness of this day and age and I definitely long for "simpler times" especially for the children.."I gotta believe it's worth it without a victory " Trying to. "I'm so sanctified and free." The only freedom I get is when immersed in those sacred texts or used books from the past that echo some sort of Eternal truth rather than the fleeting sins and temporary pleasures of this world.. "Baby we are still in this" Yes I'm still in this world . I have children who look up to me as their example and I'm their rock. They know and are told everyday more than a few times that they are loved, adored and talented and special and they even complain getting "way too many hugs" from mom.. But that's what they need to feel secure and I'll give what I never got because that's how love works.. "Bless your body. Bless your soul . Pray for peace and self control" I love that because I'm a true believer in blessings and I have a testimony of the Priesthood.. I'll never deny that but I guess since I've had that "unrighteous dominion " put over me it's made me open to go outside of the faith cause I'd rather have a good man that loves Jesus over one appearing to have the goodness on the outside only to try and control and dominate my soul. That hadn't worked for me.. Almost destroyed me a couple of times" Pray for peace and self control" I've always had the gift of being disciplined and having that self control no matter the circumstance or setting but having that peace is difficult in this wicked fallen world and I feel peace more in the home w children or in nature with animals or serving in the temple or someone who needs service or uplifting or advice or kindness.."I can't take the blame for two " that's a problem I used to have .. trying to take accountability for a spouses actions to "ease the blow" on their soul..That doesn't work.. Self sacrifice became co-dependency . I always knew I deserved better deep down and I actually like myself and feel I'm in good standing with the Lord for my obedience and love and prayers .. but I thought I had to suffer as much as He did to be worthy. That's never true in a marriage though, it's not supposed to be about suffering for the others actions or words or anger, it's supposed to be a "shelter " and safety from the "world that we live in" I had my "lessons learned " the hard way but if I could ever help ease someone else's suffering with mine or what I've learned or talk them through then I can be of service and a healer in a way and it makes it all "worth it".Thank you for the insightful words.. I love the video too, reminds me of winters in the Utah mountains where I grew up.. and I like the feathered black costumes and I love seeing the black bird still fly amidst the frozen cold nature..It gives hope of light and freedom.. It also reminds me of myself I guess because I've been thinking of names and wondering if I should go back to the "maiden name " It's a bird, a Peacock.. I didn't like it growing up because it stood out, but now I think it's an appropriate description of what I am now.. The bird with wings and bright colors admired for what's so visible on the outside yet is often caged and can't even fly.. And all I've ever really wanted to do was fly but I find myself in situations and with people that won't let that happen or just don't like the freedom of my spirit.. Maybe someday I'll have that person who helps me to fly. I'm hoping and praying for that but only God knows the answer so I'll trust Him that I can fly someday in a "world we live in" that seems to have caged me in once again. Anyway thank you for your talents , creativity both visually and musically and God bless you with peace, energy, calmness, clarity, creativity and courage!😇👍🏼💕🙏🏼
