Yeah! It was supposed to be in Day & Age album but it was uncomplete, so you can feel that old killers's esence

This song got me through one of the hardest times in my life upon its release. It describes the necessity of escaping an abusive relationship, one that I had just come out of. I was lost, confused, angry, and emotional constantly. It hit radio stations right as it was happening and it was exactly what I needed. Furthermore, the alt station came back to my city right then and there too, which is how I discovered it. Before I knew it, it was eeeverywhere. Bars, cars, you name it. This and CHVRCHES latest song at the time, "Get Out," had been released just months apart. I have an emotional attachment to this song for that exact reason, and haven't let it go since, from listening to it in my darkest moment, to teaching it to myself on the guitar. Plus, I mean, it was def nice to see such an amazingly sharp comeback from The Killers between this song and "The Man."

Don’t think so. The lyrics are clearly anti trump. They couldn’t have written that song ten years ago.

In the beginning everything is black and white for the woman's life, everything is a shade of gray and nothing seems right. But when she takes control and initiative, everything turns to color, even if it brought her chaos. It was her discovering that her life didn't have to be what it was and that her life could be what she wanted it as. This is my favorite song by The Killers now.

It's literally been more than a decade and The Killers still can burn it down with their album.

I love how no matter what song of theirs I listen to it paints a story vividly in my head. Like watching a movie or reading a book. Always loved The Killers.

Really? I thought "Miss Atomic Bomb" was one of the best things they've ever done. "Runaways" was also a kickass track.

I'm so proud of their new album. The Killers never fail me.

This is magic, art, spectacular, unique etc... I am simply speechless when it comes to this song. I don’t know whether to jump for joy or cry. This is absolutely amazing.

The killers are my favourite band by a mile.

I think this song is not only fantastic but it’s the last chapter to the Mr Brightside story. In the second part Miss Atomic Bomb Brandon sings ‘ You run for cover’ which is the name of this song.Therefore I think there is a link and it is the last chapter. This chapter is telling the story of the women he fell in love with and the man she choose over him. She’s finally realising how evil and cruel he actually is and how she was wrong to go with him. Now she is trying to get back to Brandon somehow as she knows how much she truly loves Brandon. It’s just a theory but I think it is the last chapter of the Mr Brightside story. For all I know there could be more and I’d like to see it. Thank you The Killers for creating your music. I’ve been a huge fan of you guys since I was tiny and I love you guys so much ❤️ Love Els xx Edit- My comment is just a theory on the tune I believe many have said its about Trump but it can be about that and the last chapter :) xx Another edit- This is probably my oldest KZread comment I'm glad I keep coming back to it because legends keep listening to this tune xx

Although your theory makes sense, there is something that does not fit, to begin with, in the videos: Mr. Brightside, miss atomic bomb and just another girl, there is a constant miss atomic bomb is blonde, I am only basing myself on appearance, but also In this video you can see that she escapes, and in miss atomic bomb it is quite clear that they did not return, therefore I think it is incorrect, fine anyway.

Hey! I thinked that too when I listened run for cover for the first time, and I believe that rut is the sequel of all this so real and heartbreaking/warming at the same time story. This kind of redemption between Mr Brighstide and this woman trough her son or daughter
