as a musician in Iran, I feel pain more than anything when listening to this. the moral police took away my drums once when I was playing at a gig, and I never saw it again. I still don't have drums and I haven't played for months because I can't afford a drum kit in this economy. they do anything to stop musicians from making a living, nothing is too far for them.

Spanish citizen here living in Canada. This song deeply touched my heart. and so did many of the comments written here. I just want to contribute by saying that Iranians I've met have shown me the beautiful side of their culture, but I'm particularly impressed by their HUMANITY, their extraordinary SENSITIVITY and unfortunately the deep sorrow Iranians carry in their lives. I visited Iran and people were unbelievably welcoming and nice to me, and some of the Iranian women I've come across in my life are some of the best HUMANS I've EVER met. They've taught me a lot about human values and supporting your beloved ones, so kudos to the Iranian diaspora because, even if you sometimes feel powerless and think you are not helping your people out, you are actually doing it by teaching us, the rest of the world, how you truly are! The regime has stolen and taken over your country, and we should all challenge the picture we have about Iran and Iranians and keep in mind there is a huge difference between what a dictatorial regime thinks and does, and what people living there think and do. And this probably applies everywhere, as it was the case in the country I'm from during a big part of the 20th century, when most of the Spanish society was against the regime. She fled to go live with her uncle's family. This is here in US in California.I think some of these men carry it with them everywhere they go. It was insane behavior. Soul crushing for her. Glad she moved 650 miles away from her parents.

I’m looping this powerful video. As an American who has travelled a lot, including to Russia in 2019, I know that conflating the people with the regime is dangerous. The situation in Russia is much different than Iran, since most Russian people have been brainwashed by their media and education system, but people everywhere love family and good food. I was in engineering classes in the late 1970s with a wonderful young Iranian woman who invited several of us to her house for a fabulous Persian meal. In spite of her warmth and generosity, I lost track of her and don’t remember her name, but I have been thinking of her ever since. Strength and resilience to the Iranian protesters from an admiring senior citizen.

"I hate your forhead callus" I didn't understand what that meant at first, thank you for explaining. This is such a poweful song that the whole world needs to hear. It needs to resonate in to our souls. Thank you Kiffness!

Я вообще подумываю, что это второе пришествие Христа. А как бы ещё оно выглядело в цифровую эпоху? Хождение по воде уже не прокатит. Тут теперь только через музыку можно достучаться до наших скупых сердец. Вот он и спасает наши души, связывая в единый оркестр все народы, все культуры и всех животных.
