@Emerson Foote That's because IU wins when it actually counts. ▪22 Big Ten championships. ▪22 sweet sixteen appearances. ▪11 elite eight appearances. ▪8 final four appearances. ▪5 National championships. Purdue's biggest accomplishment is keeping all of the ugly girls out of IU.

Keady and Painter are both legendary for choking in tournament play.

Seeing the game the other day was like the IU-Purdue match-up of old. Nail biter and down to the wire. Now you have two programs, with head coaches of their Alma maters. Now it is interesting again.

they play today, and if you are a fan of IU or Purdue....its all you think about. Best rivalry in the Big by far and honestly i would put them second to NC DUKE only because IU has been down lately

@@willrussell6384 Yeah the Bucks will probably miss the tournament this year but that's OK, they don't deserve it. But then again in Columbus basketball is kind of an afterthought. Purdue however will be in the tournament but once again will not be in the Final Four, probably won't even come close. They'll choke in tournament play. They've been doing that since the Reagan administration.

Purdue has not been to a final four in 38 seasons.During that same time IU has been there 4 times.Bobby Knight took iU to 3 final 4s from 1980-81 ,1991-92 shutting out Gene Keady

@@caidenpetrie5948 it doesn’t make us better right now. But yeah when you don’t have any serious history there’s gonna be arguing points. Big ten titles and head to head record are moral victories. No one cares about those. Just being honest. Imagine you aren’t a Purdue or Indiana fan. Indiana got it done when it mattered. Sadly I never saw any of that. But that’s why there’s arguments

Purdue won the national championship in 1932 with John wooden. It's crazy you think the 5 you won in the 1950's are so much better. No one was alive or cares about any of them.

Indiana U is way cooler and way better
