people who say berserk is unadaptable are naive at best and just creatively blind at worst

Basically adaptions can have multiple purposes and it's a mistake to think something is only worth adapting if it can fulfill the exact same feelings you get from the source. Sometimes it's about just enjoying the effects the changes have, giving you a greater appreciation of both mediums and the original work.

Takeshi Miike and Hirohiko Araki sounds like a match made in heaven. Yes that was a jojo reference

I think doing a Dragonball live action movie would absolutely be possible. But so far no one has tried. I don't count a movie where a character learns air bending (yes, really) to impress a girl named Chichi (yes, really) as an attempt to do a Dragonball movie

I think the size of Goku's hair is something that's interesting to consider. Imo it needs to be smaller than what it is in the anime possibly the way it was drawn in the very beginning but it really should just be done with CGI. Possibly have the spikes be less defined as there is more strands in between.

I love the underappreciatiated "Speed Racer" movie, I was very happy when you mentioned it. Then when you showed the shots from the jojo movie I noticed how similar those movies look with their exaduration of colours, which is interesting because it may be a way to exadurate the look to create the unique feel without the impossible exaduration that happens in animation. I completely agree that we should let people or studios try to adapt animations because we never know if it comes out good or not, just like with speed racer that in the beginning had cold receive but it got its fans and apparition in the end.

Honourable mention for the Rurouni Kenshin Live Action Movies - I was very very concerned but surprised in the best way with the final product

You forgot about 'Team: Medical Dragon'. Some would argue that the live action show is better than the manga.

I LOVE how they tried to get his hat to actually look like the anime even if it makes no sense. His hair literally just phases into the back of his hat O_o

Man, this video is half about live action adaptations, and half what I came here for. Though, props for actually following through with the introduction and talking about the subject at length. I've seen videos where the introduction really hasn't much to do with everything else! About the movie, I loved it, it was so much fun. The flaws didn't prevent that.

Great video! Takeshi Miike truly understood the assignment, the film really does feel like a love letter for the fans with how genuine it is to its source. I personally loved the slight cartoony look of the stands, even if they were not 100% rendered to look realistic, they looked cool af! Really sad that there isn’t going to be a sequel, the setup for it was perfect, imo.
