Just a note, it was a lot more than 100m. It was a 300mil deal for Spotify, WSJ just got an incorrect tip and ran with it. Joe Rogan even talks about this on his podcast after the switch multiple times.

The Spotify deal is worth over $200 million dollars that's what the New York times article said initially they reported $100 million but then now they're saying he's getting paid over 200 million and when that contracts up somebody else is going to pay him that and it's only to license his podcast they don't own the podcast it's just a license to to have an exclusively on Spotify for and I think it's done after 2023.
