Was on the phone with Owner asking some terminal Tackle questions. They releases at ICAST 2023 New Ringed EWG Hooks from 1/0 to 5/0. Should be out soon. Will be nice for making Jika Rigs.

If casting in close without a heavy lead ok, but if casting distance make sure they can take it

Great rig this especially when used with a creature bait also the Tokyo rig had some awesome perch on it here in the uk i make all my own Tokyo rigs so easy to make I'm a massive fan of Z MAN baits great video thanks for posting just subscribed ALIEN

I have had great success this year fishing the korum squirmz ned rigs there absolutely awesome check them out had some fantastic perch on them best so far 4LB 7oz ALIEN

I have had some fantastic perch on the korum squirmz especially the narural colours ALIEN

Really been thinking of having a go with these. Couple quick questions if i may? 1) do you think the noise of the tapping of the weight on the bottom actually attracts the fish or has no detrimental affect? 2) I was thinking of trying to flip into lily pads to try to target slightly larger perch. But most the spots on the river i fish I'd soon attract a jack pike and I'd hate to get bitten off and leave a rig in its mouth. Maybe I'll just use it for Wrasse this year 🙂

The tapping of the weight does attract fish. It’s great for Wrasse and Perch

You could always try using a fine wire trace if lots of jack pike are present...

Tie at the top of the split ring, or slide a swivel on to the spilt ring and tie to that

Robert Greene worth a try. I now use breakaway clips and put the hook and weight on it. Then tie to the top of the clip.LURE FISHING FOR WRASSE. RIGS

Why not just use a short dropshot? I've used both and prefer the simplicity of the DS. Good video all the same.

Hi bud. Its more for deep snaggy water where i want to get nearer the bottom. I see exactly what your saying about a short dropshot but i would loose too many weights if say i was fishing for Wrasse in the kelp. I prefer the the dropshot over cleaner ground.

Appreciate your feedback bud . I love the dropshot feel its about as natural a presentation as you can get.

Try using the jika rig without the split rings tie it with the weight in a none slip loop knot looks very narural ALIEN

Great idea. You are going to have to make up a new name for your rig. Check out the "Scooby" rig too. Interesting idea.

However much you need to cast the distance and get down to the bottom. Typically from 5gr to 15gr, more if needed
