The Constant Angler

The Constant Angler

Lure fishing and Traditional methods for Saltwater and Freshwater species. TACKLE TIPS AND TRICKS for the newcomer to the more experienced angler.
I'm not claiming to be an expert just a guy that fishes a lot and catches a few fish. I'm always trying to think of new and better ways of doing things. Sometimes they are productive and sometimes they fall flat on their face but when it all comes together and i catch a new species or the same species but in a different way it's a real buzz. Sometimes it's the failures that make the successes even sweeter.
Why The Constant Angler? Well if i am not fishing i am constantly thinking about it.
Come join me on my journey.

You might be able to change the bearings to ceramic bearings and get it to cast smoother and lighter lures, sacrifice a bit of distance though. I just ordered this reel as my first bfs reel paired it with a mavllos delicacy rod and it's a little over $50 USD. Going to make loads of videos on it. I've been spoiled and have used my friend's various $600-900 BFS combo's as well as his $150-300 range bfs combo's. Bet i'll catch more than him with this $50 combo lol. It doesn’t look much but there is enough there. With BFS you need to flick your wrist on the backstroke then push rather than snap on the forward stroke. This is a larger BFS reel so when casting lures below 3gr it is not ideal. If your regularly casting above these weights it could be beneficial to add a couple more magnets. It’s easy to do if you buy the correct 4mm x 0.5mm N52 magnets as you can just place however many you need on top of the original magnets thereby customising it to your needs. I have done this with both the Commando and Acura as I felt they were slightly underbraked. The Commando is effectively the same reel.
