The Jesus Cult: 2000 Years of the Last Days

The Jesus Cult: 2000 Years of the Last Days
Grab the book here 👉 amzn.to/35FqNYf
Christian apologists work hard to defend the resurrection of Jesus, despite the woefully poor descriptions of the supposed event in the New Testament. I suspect they could also rise to the challenge of proving that the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella really did transform a pumpkin into a carriage. It's no surprise that the apologetic literature defending the resurrection is enormous, but there has been considerable pushback from secular writers-as well as from religious scholars who can live with a metaphorical understanding of the resurrection. But the task for the curious reader-trying to cut through all this clutter-has been made easy by Robert Conner's The Jesus Cult: 2000 Years of the Last Days. As this title suggests, Conner incisively demonstrates that a crucial element in early Christian belief-the arrival of Jesus on the clouds any day now-is just plain wrong. He also pulls together the New Testament texts that show just how incoherent the resurrection stories are: no wonder the apologists have to work so hard. In his engaging conversational writing style, Conner also shows the on-going damage-into our own times-that the Jesus Cult causes. This book is a must-read, especially for Christians who may be curious enough about their faith to do at least a little due diligence.

@@redhammer1917 You are so lost bro. You have free will. Believe what you want. But I know that you will face your maker once you leave this earth. Your human life whether 70- 80 or 90 years if your lucky will come to an end. At that moment when you are eternally separated remember my words. You will stand before the judgment seat of God. You can discredit him. Clown him. Make jokes or try to use your intellect to prove he doesn't exist. But make no mistake the spirit realm is more real than this passing life. And time is a concept and construct only for humans so they can live a life knowing God on a personal level. By discrediting God (Yeshua, Jehovah, Jesus) you don't make him any less real. Nor does your science or deceived intellect. You will face him just as I will and all mankind will. Hell was not made for the intent of sending man there. Infact it was made for Satan and the fallen angels who had free will to rebel if they chose to be deceived by lucifer. The first sin didn't occur on earth by Adam and eves rebellion. The first sin occurred through Lucifers pride and rebellion against God in heaven. Hence he was cast out along with a large number of angels who were deceived. Be careful the line which you are walking. When your dead there won't be no debate whether he's real or not. There won't be any KZread following or comments to be made. Except that your soul will eternally be sent to a place that a loving God never intended for you to be but you chose of your free will to deny him. That day he will deny YOU. That right there is facts. I pray for you to turn from this foolish wisdom of the world. Your soul knows he is real. This is why you believe in a Supreme being watching over the universe. Yet you take a doctrine of demons that Jesus and Satan are similar. Except Satan was the bad seed. Let's explore that. So if angels being the sons of God through his creation had free will chose to rebel. Yet Jesus uniquely being the spirit of God in flesh his unique son chose obedience until death how could they be the same? Jesus doesn't want you to be deceived to hell. Satan on the other hand does because that's where he is headed. Man is mortal. ANGELS where created immortal with the purpose of serving God in his kingdom. They knew the ancient knowledge and holiness of God. Yet Satan (lucifer) the Adversary of God not his equal by any means chose to usurp authority from God. Claiming his throne would be ascended above God's. Once his sin (original sin pride) was birthed in his heart he was cast down. Along with the watchers of earth (also angels who were to not interfere in man's affairs) decided to make a pact and rebel. For them was the lake of fire made. So that until the words of the Bible be fulfilled and christ returns to bring judgment on the gods of this world just as he did on the wicked gods of the Egyptians and pagan religions would be completed. There is nothing new under the sun my brother. Your intellect will fail you. Science will fail you. Everything will fail you Except Jesus. Jesus didn't come to die so you would live a life denying him and then expect to either go to heaven or live a life however you please and expect no consequences. You are in deception. The Love and redemption of Christ is there for you. I promise you he loves you. My own life is a restoration through the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I would love to share my testimony with you one day. But if I share you will say it's not true. You will deny the supernatural because it can't be put into a scientific box or measurement for you to test and prove according to what your eyes, ears, or brain may be able to prove. But remember you don't see the wind, but you see it's work through the trees, you feel it through the breeze, you know it's real and that it's there. The world has been corrupted due to Satan's agenda to harm God in whatever way he can. The only way he can do that is take as many souls into deception to burn and be tormented with him when the time comes. Each time a soul denys, rejects and walks away from God his spirit is grieved. This is the only way Satan can attack God. He is not God's equal in strength, knowledge, authority, or combat. And if God wanted to he could make the world a eutopia filled with peace, love, and joy. No fear, no murder, no hate. He actually did that. That's what eden was before Satan Deceived mankind. That will all be restored if you study revelation. Keep your heart open to Jesus. You believe with your heart there is a supreme being in charge. Believe in Jesus brother he is the physical manifestation of God the father on earth. And believe in the holy spirit. If you could be someone who experienced the holy spirit and its power (book of acts PENTECOST) and experience that on earth and deny it then you are lost. I don't know if you ever saw the holy spirit work in your life or the life of others. But a warning to the guy making this video who has been a part of a church where demons where cast out, the holy spirit came and touched his heart and he turned from God. He is a lost cause. It's a shame this man is against God after experiencing him. God have mercy on you all. And speak to your hearts and minds. Jesus is not your enemy. God is not some figment of imagination. He's coming back. The King is coming back. And every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

I've only watched the first 20 seconds but, based on the title alone, I can tell you that I grew up under this Theology of everyday is the last days. I can recall hearing on a few occasions people saying that they either had a dream or they heard of someone having a dream in which they heard or they said that the trumpet is at the lips of Gabriel. And we would get all stoked up because of that. In Bible College I twice woke up in the middle of the night thinking that the Rapture was happening, then wondering why I didn't Ascend into the clouds, only then to realize that it was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. I had to free myself from that and I did. Giving up the thought of the last days occurring at any moment is one of the best things I ever did.

Fornication in the streets is open place. Homosexuality. Transsexuality. Children are the masters of their parents. The NWO. False Israel. The stage has been set. The Antichrist might already be here. It won’t be long before Jesus comes back. 50-100 years I think, but then there will be at least a couple of generations after him before the day of judgement. I’m sorry you were brought up in a Jesus cult. I invite you to look into Islam.

My mother considered herself a staunchly Protestant (would not have a Catholic bible in the house). She considered Jesus a prophet, believed in reincarnation, did not know that people believed babies were born in sin, believed God punishes evil people, and sometimes was agnostic. When I was six years old, I asked her, "What is God?" She said the concept of God was so big that it was impossible for humans to fully comprehend so everybody had different ideas and all she could do was tell me what she thought God is and when I grew up I had to figure out what I thought God is. I think I was really lucky to not have religion force fed to me but something open for discussion.

"babies were born in sin" - for which the punishment, if a baby died before baptism, was Limbo - but even the Cathiolic church has dropped the notion of Limbo. The Pope put a line through it - and Voila! It didn't exist any more! That says a whole lot about the concept of religion. I don't know the current attitude towards Original Sin - the sin of Adam, for which he was chucked out of Eden, and all the generations that followed him also lost that closeness to God. Incredible that that's what was preached.

One is supposed to believe that Jesus died for your sins, that you were born with the sin of Adam & Eve, that Jesus is God (I stopped considering myself a Christian on this issue), that Satan has free will and is fighting God, that you need Jesus to be saved, that you will burn in hell if you do not believe in Jesus, that there is a Trinity. (Jehovah's Witnesses are not considered Christian because they do not believe in a Trinity.) My mother was considered nearly pagan by our religious relatives.

@46:09 - "Why does anybody build a church any more?" I have wondered this too. A few years ago, my family - now spread around the world - had a family reunion for my brother's 50th wedding anniversary, and we went to Florence in Italy, and spent a couple of weeks touring the countryside - and the big tourist attraction of the region is its cathedrals - and they are truly awe inspiring. You walk into a building like that with its great columns supporting a lavishly decorated ceiling, high, high above, and it makes you feel insignificant, and that you are in the presence of something much bigger than yourself. During church services, the congregation is not given the note by a bloke with a harmonica - they have a bloody great pipe organ that makes your chest vibrate, and this also gives the impression of being in the presence of something mighty. It's all pure theatre, designed to impart a feeling of awe - which, I must confess, they do! I couldn't help but be struck with the waste of resources that they represent - great buildings with no use - no product - except, of course, for the tourist industry - but they were not built with that intention. But how did these massive, lavishly decorated buildings get made, with their stained glass windows, and their treasured art works, their marble floors, their intricately carved stone partition walls and their flying buttresses? It takes real money to construct something like that! Well, the church used to be a political body that was integrated with the government and the laws of the land, and every peasant farmer had to pay a "stipend" which was a percentage of everything he earned to the church - by law - and lots and lots of small amounts total into an enormous amount. The church was a very powerful body - and Vatican City is still the centre of a powerful empire of the deluded. Remember how the German people supported Hitler at one time, or the Italians, Mussolini - or more recently (and still ongoing), the Americans supported Donald Trump - well, when the body that seeks you support has convinced you of Heaven, Hell and eternal salvation or damnation, these are powerful influences, and that is probably the reason why the Vatican still exists when so many powerful political ideologies withered when their Winter came. So back to your question : "Why does anybody build a church any more?" In the UK, abandoned churches are repurposed as accommodation, warehouses, children's soft-play areas, laser-quest centres, where kids run around in the near to dark shooting each other with lasers - pretty-well anything you can use a building for - and those that are not repurposed, possibly due to their remote locations - stand around the countryside, decaying, unused and unloved - like the bones of dinosaurs. I don't know of any church that is being built, and being a vicar these days is not a good carreer path. It is the same in France, where I lived for six years, and in Spain - I live with my daughter and my my son-in-law, who is Spanish, and communicates daily with his family who still live there. The great bastions of the church are places like Russia and America, but even there, skepticism is on the rise, and more and more people are seeing the illogicality of it all - especially in its Biblical foundation. In Paris, Notre Dam cathedral burned down, and is currently being rebuilt, presumably at state expense, but I think that has more to do with the Hunchback of Notre Dam, and the city's affection for the building as a result, more to do with the story, than any practical purpose. Religion - not only Christianity - is dying.

@@KrishmanyuThakur Yep those divine idols are in fact the devil, same word. Prophet Isiah said the LORD detests your burnt offerings, meaningless prayers, and congregations. When one goes into a Catholic Church and lights the fire, drinks the blood, and eats the flesh what you are really doing, in fact, is continuing an age-old tradition of the founder of the Church, who is nonother than Goddess Circe, which is where the word Church is derived and primary purpose is to round up men in a circular building, bedazzle them with her sexual prowess, get them involved in sexual debauchery, eat their flesh and drink their blood and annihilate them. Like sheep to the slaughter and you even pay for the privilege. Totally unnecessary since Rabbai Tovia in this channel told me if I want to be saved reach out to HIM with a repentant heart. Simple. That hit me truly right in my heart because I remembered the time when I found myself rolling over 500 ft in a car 10 times at 120 mph after many drinks. I reached out to HIM, repented, and asked him to save me. The car eventually landed on its top on the grass at the side residents heard the noise that sounded like rolling thunder at 1 am rushed out and righted the car and was able to slide out the window. I stood up checked myself, laughed, rejoiced, looked up, thanked HIM, and walked away from the carcass straight into a waiting Cadillac Escolade with 22-inch shiny steel rims. Thought that I was in a dream, but I went with it. The man in there said he was private security for the feds, knew who I was since my company used the same service, and took me to a hospital to get checked up and everything was just fine. I don't have to believe in sh, I know now. Three police officers came to pick me up and said look the car is being towed we got all your personal crap in the cruiser, asked how fast I was driving I said 60. He laughed and said it was more like 160 since the speedometer was stuck. They said since no one was hurt they let me go after buying them Chinese food. Conversely, those that chose to rebel will be like Tinder to the Spark. Also, Isiah said to go instead and plead the widow's case and defend the fatherless or he will do very, very bad things to you. I am not making this up the LORD has spoken but gives you free will for you to do you.

Hi Derek, thank you for this channel and indeed, this podcast. My journey into atheism began at age 12 where, as a catholic, I was attending confirmation classes when the subject of god and forgiveness of sins came up. I put a 'terrible' question to the priest giving the class and it was thus: Why does god put all these temptations in our way, apparently knowing which choice we will make and STILL punish us? I was kicked out of the class immediately and while i reluctantly went to church with the family each Sunday, the unanswered question remain. I even asked my Dad to help me understand and the answer I got from him was no less perplexing. 'The devil is making you think like this. You should pray until you understand.' This seems to be the 'go to' answer to many really tough questions asked of christians. I'm no scholar and probably not too smart by measured standards but the science doesn't support anything other than myth in todays bible. My take on modern evangelists is that they found a tax-free way to become insanely wealthy. The 'traditional' church, founded in Rome, in my opinion, is merely a continuation of the Roman empire.

To answer your question the best I can from what I’ve studied and believe. God does not put temptation in our lives, temptation comes from satan to cause us to sin. God allows it but he offers a way out of it, we just have to take his way out. God knows humanity has been corrupted by sin because of satan and our flesh is unholy. Sin is what separated humanity from God and the punishment was death. But God knows you’re not perfect and you never will be because of your human nature. You’re going to sin again. He loves you soo much and wants you to be with him in heaven, so he made the choice and sent his one and only son Jesus Christ down to earth. Jesus is God in the human form, so he was holy and perfect without sin. He sacrificed his life when he was crucified to take your place as the penalty for your sins. But he was resurrected defeating death. So as long as you believe and accept what Jesus did for you then your sins are forgiven.

I went through my own “Born Again, Word of Faith, Jerusalem Syndrome” experience several years ago that lasted for about 8 years. My friends were Messianic Jews and Evangelical Christians and I got sucked in during a challenging time in my life which is when one is a perfect target for their BS. It wasn’t until I started reading the scriptures for myself and seeing the contradictions that ridiculous claims and started Googling. Found Professor Bart Ehrman and boom everything that was in my mind was in his lectures and books. It was like magic! Of course I lost some friends and my mother isn’t too pleased but I’ve never felt more liberated!! The Christian friends that I still have are on a mission to guide me back into the flock but now I have the ammunition to dodge the bullet. Nothing frustrates an Evangelical more than someone who can show them how wrong they are! I would never want to interfere with their Christian faith but I don’t want to be chastised or proselytized. I found my spiritual path in modern Druidism, an earth and nature based belief system and what I appreciate most is that we already know much of The Celtic Myths are not meant to be literal. No Heaven or Hell just Peace and Poetry. As far as Covid and the vaccines go…we know that it was created in a lab using Gain of Function Research and we know that the vaccines have not saved lives or lessened the severity of the virus 🦠. Viruses mutate…The only reason I took The Jab was because I live overseas part of the year where it was mandatory. It’s not mandatory anymore however. Ugh, The Blood of The Lamb and all the other Cliches. We could write a dictionary for Evangelical words and phrases 🙄.

Well, I mean Blood of the Lamb is pretty standard in the Christian faith. Evangelical or not. Calling Jesus the passover lamb of humanity. I find people get sucked in by the morals and community, both integrity and compassion. Community especially if you live in a very Christian country because it's just familiar to you and not particularly strange. I can agree that Jesus and Paul are sometimes agreeable even if Paul uses more spiritual language about the flesh and the spirit (probably Greek influence) and I like many Christian principles but hated lying to myself and pretending that I believe Jesus is the messiah. It's impossible to miss Jesus CHRIST at the beginning of Paul's letters and feel guilty that you don't believe he is Christ. It's hard to grow up knowing that even Jews don't believe he fulfilled prophecy and if anyone would know what's expected of Messiah it's them. Oh, and even when I was a Christian I couldn't get over the fact that in my country there are Christian shelters that aid the homeless but on the condition that they convert when Jesus said nothing about conversion when he told his disciples to feed the poor, clothe them, care for them. And it's weird knowing every preaching is about morals and all that and Jesus is the one it all goes back to (unless your Unitarian or something). When you like the principles but don't really care about that Jesus guy it's just awkward. I never really cared who the teachings were attributed to, whether it's God, Paul, Jesus, James, the Vatican, some monks, the Pope, all of them! I don't care who. I think we can lose our humanity trying to figure out who.

I only consumed psychedelics maybe about a dozen times in the mid to late seventies,so I wouldn't consider myself an expert on the subject, but when I took mescaline for the very first time, the things I read in the books, "Doors of Perception,"and the teachings of Don Juan came to mind almost immediately and had a great influence on the trip going forward.A few years later, I was tripping with a cousin of mind and I was able to cause her to see the same thing I was seeing and experiencing ,or that I wanted her to see, by the power of suggestion.I had read in a psychology book about how the power of suggestion that's used in hypnosis can apply to the experience on psychedelics.Although this is not true in every case, psychedelics make a person very open and sensitive to suggestion, especially in certain atmospheres.I don't know if it is true in all hallucination experiences, but being caused/or triggered to see things while on drugs, could apply to all hallucinatory experiences. That's why it's not too hard for me to believe that Jesus and the disciples were trippin sometimes.Whether that be from some type of ergot or mushrooms-is anybody's guess.I do know that his brothers thought he was mad at one point and tried to reign him in at one point,to no avail. And they were raised up together in the same family.

In the entire first Christian century Jesus is not mentioned by a single Greek or Roman historian, religion scholar, politician, philosopher or poet. His name never occurs in a single inscription, and it is never found in a single piece of private correspondence. Zero! Zip references. Till 325 AD, not a single historian or writer wrote about Jesus Christ or any of his disciples . BEFORE THE FIRST COUNCIL OF NICEA IN 325 AD, NOBODY ON THIS PLANET EVER HEARD OF THE NAMES JESUS CHRIST OR CHRISTIANITY. JESUS/ BIBLE / CHRISTIANTY WAS COOKED UP IN 325 AD, BY JEWESS HELENA , WHO SAT ON THE POPE'S CHAIR.. "Vatican is Evil terrorist satanic organisation." If Satan does exist, then he thrives inside the Roman Catholic Church. The dead sea scrolls covering the period from Birth of Jesus to 68 AD , does NOT say one word about Jesus or his 12 Apostles. Hellenistic philosopher Philo Judaeus of Alexandria (20 BCE-50 AD/CE)-alive at the purported time of Jesus, and one of the wealthiest and best connected citizens of the Empire- makes no mention of Christ, Christians or Christianity in his voluminous writings. Nor do any of the hundreds of other historians and writers who flourished during the first THREE centuries of the common era. The DEAD SEA SCROLLS were all written by Pagan Essenes . None of them have been edited by later Christians, as is the case with some other Jewish literature. All the scrolls (except a treasure map known as the Copper Scroll) can be dated prior to A.D. 68 or 69, when the Qumran settlement was believed to have been destroyed by the Romans in the Jewish revolt. The oldest of the scrolls probably goes back to the middle of the third century B.C. The people of Qumran belonged to a Pagan religious group known as the Essenes. Pliny the Elder, who died during the volcanic destruction of Pompeii in the year 79 A.D., described a community of pagan Essenes living on the western shore of the Dead Sea, close to where Khirbet Qumran is situated. John the Baptist was an ascetic Essene . He was a vegan and was uncircumcised . Various literary sources like Josephus and Philo tell clearly that Essenes were ascetics. We also know, from literary testimony, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the archaeological remains of Qumran, that the Essenes practiced many water baptisms for ritual purification-similar to a dip in the Ganges or the river Pampa or at Thiirunelli. At Qumran, however, all members of the community were baptized with water for ritual purification. Josephus writes, "And as for their piety towards God, it is very extraordinary; for before sunrising they speak not a word about profane matters, but put up certain prayers which they have received from their forefathers, as if they made a supplication for its rising" (Wars, 2.8.5). This testimony accords well with what we know from the Dead Sea Scrolls. Prayer and humility was one thing that the Essenes . When they cooked up stories about Jesus they wrote that Jesus Christ ate the Last Supper in the Essene part of town. Jesus is not historical character, The Dead Sea Scrolls have produced increasing evidence to cement the fact that Jesus Christ never existed and the whole story was cooked up at the First Council of Nicea in 325 AD. The FAKE gospels were written after 325 AD after Jesus was cooked up at the first Council of Nicea.. Twelve apostles of Jesus never existed. Jesus Christ names 12 apostles to spread his gospel, and the early Christian church owes its rapid rise to their missionary zeal. Yet, for most of the Twelve, there's scant evidence of their existence outside of the New Testament. The concept of using statistics to prove that 'God authored the Bible' is bullshit. Why was the library of Alexandria burnt ? The gospel of Thomas was not written by Jesus' disciple Thomas. Englishman Godfrey Higgins studied Greek, Latin and law at Cambridge . His two-volume, 867-page book Anacalypsis: An Enquiry into the Origins of Languages, Nations, and Religions, was published posthumously in 1836. In his treatise, Higgins writes " the mythos of the Jews and the mythos of the Greeks are all at bottom the same lifted from the ancient mythos of Hindus ; and ... are contrivances under the appearance of histories to perpetuate doctrines," and that Christian editors “either from roguery or folly, corrupted them all.” 1900, Scottish MP John Mackinnon Robertson wrote that Jesus never existed but was an FAKE invention by a first-century messianic cult. He wrote about the First Council of Nicea of 325 AD where powerful forces invented a new god to fit the needs of the society of the time .Robertson specifically mentions the Talmudic story of the Yeshu . Thomas says: "Simon Peter said to them, ‘Make Mary leave us, for females don’t deserve life.’ Jesus said, ‘Look, I will guide her to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every female who makes herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven’" (Thomas 114). AIYOOOOO -even Christians don’t like this When the master of James baby Jesus Christ never existed -- how can his disciple St James exist ? Even since the dead sea scrolls have been discovered CHRISTIANS and JEWS are jumping up and down like demented orangutans claiming that Essenes belong to them. Dead Sea text or Qumran Scrolls have absolutely nothing ZILCH, to do with the Bible of the Torah - never mind the diabolical lies of the Christians and the Jews. For arguments sake -even if messiah Jesus Christ existed , the gospels were written a even a century after Jesus' estimated year of death, by individuals who never met Jesus, and then were edited or forged over the centuries by unknown scribes with their own agendas. Dead sea scrolls have been written by Essenes of the sect of Apollonius

Audience relevance is either something evangelicals don't understand, don't want to understand, or is something conveniently bypassed by their teachers/leaders. The epistles were letters, which, like all letters, were sent to specific addresses, people, time and place. When those epistles are read here in modern times-people don't realize that they are reading somebody else's mail.Because of the programming they've received from their teachers, they don't stop long enough to question or realize that, not only are the epistles letters, but those letters were not sent to or spoken to them-but to believers in the 1st century,-because that's who they were intended for. They were not intended to be read by anyone else in any other century-especially not the 21st century. This especially applies to the eschatology statements in those letters-and-in the gospels. When Jesus spoke on the last days-he was speaking to the disciples-no one else. All you have to do is to go through Matt.24 and count all the times the words "you" or "your" are used in the chapter and ask yourself, "Who's the "you" that Jesus was addressing in the chapter? If evangelicals were to be honest with themselves they would have to say that Jesus wasn't speaking to them,or anybody else in the 21st century.

Like the Socrates of Plato’s Dialogues, the Jesus of the gospels is a literary figure, his words are not his own but the author’s - spoken in the vernacular of his literary creator’s intended audience.

@Ray Ray Socrates' historicity is inconsequential. What is important is that Plato saw no need to endow his literary creation with divine attributes simply to lend authority to his own words spoken through Socrates.

@@0nlyThis That is not correct. Plato‘s Apology is to depict Socrates as a man dedicated to God rather than Man. And the specific monotheistic conception of God was the God of truth (the Logos). And Socrates refers to God. But denies the polytheistic Gods. The entire Pythagorean line philosophies have a God concept elaborated in different ways. The Logos as divine order of the Universe and axis mundi was described by Heraclitus, and is the foundational idea of Plato‘s idea of the Universe, and Aristotle’s argument of the unmoved mover. One Reason why many Greeks gravitated to Christianity is because it was understood as a Logos philosophy. Read Justin Martyr and he makes this very clear. The same Logos that inspired the Psalms, Pythagoras, Heraclitus, Socrates, was considered perfected in Christ, and the way Justin puts it „we have designated Christ as the embodiment of the Logos.“ And Justin continues and says Heraclitus and Socrates are therefore Christians before Christ. And the Eastern Orthodox Church still considers the Pre-Christian Saints. And there are a long line of Pythogorean and NEO-Platonist Christians. The so-called atheism of the Greek philosophers is a myth, they were atheists to what they saw were Greek idols. Socrates was sentenced for heresy in the same way that Jesus was sentenced to heresy and is the obvious parallel that people seem to be missing. Also Empedocles another pre-Socratic in the Pythagorean line was considered a Man-God who sacrifices his own life. Furthermore, there are several references to Pythogoras in the Gospels. Because they believed in metempsychosis I hypothesis that they might have even seen Jesus as a reincarnation of Pythogoras or the perfected Pythogoras.

Yes, this is how I read these passages as well. When people asks what happens “at the end of the age”? Jesus answers in reference to a persons experience of death. “Where the carcass is, the eagles will be” is a metaphor for angels taking your soul from your body. I think it’s evident. All of Connor’s pontificating on Q Anon believers, demonizing “white people” and their fear of black music is a bunch of self loathing public flagellation. Thumbs down.

"Once you believe it you'll see it.". WOW! I had three Christian roommates at University who would regularly try to sit me down and convince me to join the cult. They were all from very different denominations, and when I would point out that at the most only one of them could be right, they would revert to exactly this idea. They would say "Tony, it doesn't matter what you specifically believe, what matters is that you believe SOMETHING". My question was always "why?". So, you got me in the first 5 minutes of this video. Just ordered the book. Thank you for your bravery in escaping, and for your efforts to battle this insidious, delusional, deranged, and *dangerous* system of belief.

Right before Stephen was martyred he had a vision of the God in the clouds with the son of man at his right side. Just like in revelation. We all have our last days, i just think its a personal thing, and you all need to repent. What specific signs or events do you believe will indicate that we are living in the last days? How do you interpret and reconcile different interpretations of these signs among various religious traditions? Can you provide any scriptural or textual references that support your belief in the impending last days? How do you interpret these texts within the context of your religious tradition? Are there any specific prophecies or predictions about the end times that have already been fulfilled in your understanding? How do you differentiate between metaphorical or symbolic language and literal interpretations of these prophecies? How do you address the challenge of conflicting predictions and failed prophecies related to the end times made throughout history? What criteria do you use to discern between genuine prophetic insights and mere speculation? What role, if any, do you believe technology, science, or geopolitical events play in the unfolding of the last days? How do you navigate the tension between ancient texts and modern advancements in interpreting and applying these beliefs? Are there any specific rituals, preparations, or practices that your religious tradition prescribes in anticipation of the last days? How do these practices contribute to the spiritual and emotional well-being of your community during times of uncertainty? How do you respond to critics who view beliefs about the last days as fear-based or apocalyptic thinking? How do you maintain a balance between hope and preparedness without succumbing to anxiety or extremism? Can you describe your understanding of the role of a chosen or elect group in the last days? How do you interpret the responsibilities and expectations placed upon this group within your religious framework? How does your belief in the last days impact your engagement with the world and society around you? How do you balance the desire to prepare for the future with the responsibility to positively contribute to the present? In your view, what is the ultimate purpose or outcome of the last days? How does this belief shape your worldview, values, and priorities in everyday life?

The phrase "scoffers will come in the last days" is a biblical warning found in 2 Peter 3:3-4. It refers to a time when people will mock and ridicule the idea of Jesus' return and the promise of God's judgment. These scoffers will: - Follow their own desires and sinful inclinations - Deny the truth of God's Word and the promise of His coming - Mock and ridicule those who believe in Jesus' return - Encourage others to join them in their unbelief and sinful living The Bible warns that this attitude of scoffing and mockery will be a characteristic of the last days before Jesus' return. It's a sign of the times, indicating a growing rejection of God's truth and a increasing rebellion against His authority. As a believer, it's essential to remain faithful and vigilant, trusting in God's promises and warnings, and living according to His will, despite the ridicule and scorn of scoffers.

@@martinkuliza You obviously don’t know your Bible and have NEVER done any research …If you read the scriptures correctly and in context Jesus said that his second coming would be when his disciples WERE STILL ALIVE AT THAT TIME and not one of them would ever taste death…he was speaking to his disciples BACK THEN and NOT speaking about coming back in the far off distant future. It’s very sad that these lying preacher’s preach false hope and they know they’re preaching lies so don’t trust a word they say. NEVER ONCE was Jesus speaking of coming back in the far off distant future or else he would have said he was. So this all makes Jesus a false prophet and a liar. The teaching of this imaginary Rapture was invented in the early 1800’s…this teaching DID NOT EXIST prior to that. In fact most of the church teachings since the middle age’s are man-made invention’s just like the teachings of a literal hell…PRIOR to the middle age’s there was no such thing as a literal hell…this was a teaching invented by the Roman church as a means of power and control over people. I’m an X-Christian and lived in the INSANITY OF CHRISTIANITY CULT for over 30 years and had to walk away from the CULT 20 year’s ago just like millions of us X-Christian’s have had to do because there’s no truth to Christianity whatsoever. Millions have walked away because as Bible scholars doing intense in-depth research of the history behind ancient religions we have found the TRUTH about the lies, deceptions, and outright propaganda of Christianity….It’s origin’s are from ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Zoroastrian BLOOD SACRIFICE DEATH CULTS keeping the mind’s of people in slavery and bondage to it’s deception just by inflicting fear. You need to do in-depth research and study of the history of these ancient religions because what you’ve been taught in church if fables, mythology, propaganda, and lies and most preacher’s know this but if they preached the TRUTH of their insane religion, all of their congregations would leave the churches leaving preachers without a pay check so they have no choice but to continue preaching garbage. Thousand’s of Preacher’s/Minister’s/Priests etc, have left the INSANITY OF CHRISTIANITY CULT over the last 30 years because after doing all the in-depth research and study of the Aramaic and Greek language’s and ancient religions they could no longer stay within the evil CULT of Christianity and continue preaching lies…DO THE RESEARCH and you’ll find out like the rest of us million’s who have left Christianity that the Bible and Christianity is the biggest scam and hoax that’s ever been perpetrated on humanity…it’s an evil religion. Unfortunately your denial and cognitive dissonance runs VERY DEEP.

Historians and students of religion have given several explanations for the rise, spread, and persistence of the cult of the Jesus-followers - originally another Jewish sect with an apocalyptic prophet preaching the imminent end of the current world order and its re-fashioning by divine intervention with himself and his disciples as the new rulersS. One theory is that was a simple "calendar cult" (like the 2012 Mayan calendar frenzy), as Jews in the first century read into their own times a specific date from the Book of Daniel (itself written in Hellenistic times, although it pretended to be prophetic and set much earlier). The visions/experiences of Peter following the execution of the cult founder (as a seditious Jew claiming a divine right to rule, the "son of David") kept the cult going. It received a fresh breath of life from Paul's fits and direct communion with the dead Jesus along with his missionary fervor to Hellenistic pagans, never the audience for the cult founder. According to the historian Peter Heather, even by the time of Constantine, no more than 10% of the population of the Roman empire was Christian. The plagues of Marcus Aurelius and Cyprian strengthened the movement around 165-230 A.D.. It was easy to tempt people with eternal life through an immortality "medicine" as so many all around died like flies. In the urban Christian communities, there was some recourse to collective charity, while the pagan philanthropies were collapsing with the decimation of the old urban pagan elites. The conversion of Constantine and the favor shown by emperors to the official religion made a great difference to the fortunes of Christianity. A number of the elite converted to have access to positions of power and influence. Christianity was Romanized - domesticated in many ways. The Catholic Church represented over centuries a serious attempt to keep in check the poisonous belief at core in the imminent end of the world and the salvation of only a chosen few. With the rise of Protestant sects, and their proliferation in America later, all the demons were let loose.

I really just tried to understand all this. I’ve never believed in Jesus. I’ve never believed in the church. To me it should be held in nature to celebrate gods creation, not giving 10% to build a fancy building and so the leaders can drive Mercedes. I never understood the hypocrisy of needing a 3 person to communicate with my very own creator. Go into a building eat the flesh and drink the blood of this giant plastic dead tortured man on a stick. It’s all very dark. I just went to the Bible store and bought a kjv. I just opened it up a few times and let it fall to where ever it may, and I’d read that. Wow - wow. It’s so dark. Even the book itself is black with gold writing and looks … well, evil. I kept trying and every time I just got more and more creeped out. So i put it in a drawer. Every Christian I’ve ever met has been a self righteous, narcissistic, close minded asshole🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve just found your channel and subbed - so excited for the next episodes. If I may recommend another KZreadr. Cjb books I think the name is. Remarkable channel. His last video was Jesus is golem. Wow! It explains the medieval paintings of little man Jesus and how he was never a baby and the evil. Also Morgue official tan alot about this and the gnostic teachings (which make a lot more sense to me than the evil Bible). I’ve always thought the Bible was for mass thought. Sure, billions have read and believe this book, so what happenes when you have millions of people thinking the same thought? The energy- makes it happen. Thought=reality. It’s for mass hypnosis like tv and media. So these Christian’s are making the end happen in a nut shell. Ah man - he lost me with vax. I do not trust the system, the govt. the coco was a plan, an agenda, to collapse the economy and we are now where they wanted us. To see the harm the vax did to do many people, no fucking way am I taking that. When did your govt ever give you anything for free! Cmon now. Guess we can’t agree on everything

I am certain that the Jesus character in the NT did not survive death. That's why he has never reappeared after he was buried in a common grave with other executed criminals.

Jesus warned his disciples they would distort his teachings to form a worldwide religious cult which would shed more blood than all the containers in the world could hold. He then told them he would return in 2X1,000 years to correct their error. It's a spiritual second coming, not a physical one. (don't recall where I read it) Rudolf Steiner and Manly P. Hall both go into this in great detail.

@@matthewkopp2391 I'd read that Jesus actually said about Peter as "being dumb as a rock, and I'm supposed to build by church on this?". It was not what was written in the roman priesthood's edited and manipulated version of the disciples original gospel. This is one of many outright substitutions to allow for their "priest" to represent the "vicar of Christ". (You are more than welcome to dismiss this as hearsay, but with some research, you'll discover this to be true - there are only a few nuggets in the "scriptures" that churches find)

I’m really loving your channel man! I’ve been on a heck of a journey with deconstructing my faith and it’s just leading me out of Christianity. I never expected myself to be on this journey and overwhelmed greatly by it. How would you explain “ex satanist” who tell their testimony of serving the devil and how they try to put spells on Christian’s but they can’t because they are covered by the blood. Also - demon possession. I’ve seen a demon get casted out of someone and wonder if that is proof of a spiritual realm and demons? Thanks much for what you are doing! Keep up the great work man.

Thank you for being bold enough for opening the eyes to the blind, speaking about factual evidence and perspectives on what most have never taken the time to research or look up out of the projected fears and traumas that have been imbeded since childhood. I myself was born and raised in the so called church, tried every denomination in Christiandome, looking for the truth, because every denomination teached a different gospel, so much confusion, which added to the insanity. I truly believe, the majority of Christianity does not believe in heaven and hell anymore, the resurrection or the virgin birth, they view as metaphors, they hope that there is a Good God that will forgive them of their sins, just in case there is the possibility of a burning inferno. Fear and Guilt have been made virtues by these cults, that's what they really are, cults made up by man with good intentions, but living in full blown egoic mindsets, not able to break away from their culture, parents beliefs, or political agendas. The older generation is still under the collective shadow of these ancient traditions, but our new generation is finally realizing that this belief system is flawed and fool of mythological stories, legend, and folklore tales that in ancient times there was no way to prove these teachings full of exaggerated embellishments. Thank you for exposing these fundamental ideologies. Keep up the great work ☮️

I found this one of the best myvision videos ever. I have no doubt Jesus existed and was crucified, as Bart Erhman states. What I want to know is something I will never ever know and that is what did Jesus actually do and say. The gospels have been so altered and were written so long after the event. Interesting both Mark 13 and Matthew 24 mention Jesus talking a out the destruction Jerusalem in AD70. What I find interesting is they were actually written after the event so hardly a prediction.
