As Anakin Skywalker he helped the Mon Cala to unite with the Quarren. But as Darth Vader he just kill all. Just tragic because especially he ( and Ahsoka, Fisto, etc. ) helped Lee Char becoming the king.

I think with a little more time they would’ve figured out about order 66. I think the only reason why Palpatine did order 66 when he did was because he was in such a clutch moment. Ahsoka had captured maul and was bringing him back for interrogation or possibly interrogating him then. The Jedi were beginning to find out who the sith lord was and what his plans were. He may have known he was a possible subject to the Jedi.

It’s stories like this that made Rogue One my favorite movie in the franchise so far. Knowing that even the rebellion or the good guys have to do some dark and objectively bad things to continue the fight was just a new breathe of air in the series.

These Vader comics are so badass. Ferren, like many survivors of Order 66, was clearly traumatized and really was not much of a Jedi anymore. But also like the other survivors, he plays a larger role than he expected in the Galactic Civil War.

Well technically order 66 means to execute a Jedi because they have committed a crime against the republic but order 66 doesn’t mean kill all the Jedi it just means kill a certain Jedi because they are broken the law

For those who aren’t familiar with the EU, prior to Disney’s takeover, the Iktotchi, on a whole, were a telepathic and precognitive species with an incredible rate of Force-sensitive births. They were deeply connected to the Force as a species, and often used their gift of foresight to perceive threats before they could happen. This is likely part of how Ferren Barr survived this encounter, acknowledging the eventual outcome and manifesting it through the use of his Force abilities. Still quite impressive however, given that he could focus his gifts in such a way.

Strangely, it is said that the Iktotchi sensed the shift in the Force after the Purge and locked down their world, calling back all of their people and isolating in their own cities to avoid Palpatine’s attention, which they did successfully.

No bc order 65 is a regular order to the clones they would have to follow that order willingly. Order 66 was genetically programmed in them using the bio-chips that’s why most clones couldn’t disobey that order.

I think what disgusted Anakin was how this Jedi turned so hard from the light, his objective was still good, but his actions were evil. Vader thought of the Jedi and Sith as opposites, but this fallen Jedi flipped the script and used a dark path to obtain good. It was a gray morality and it did not sit well with Vader. I think this would be the second type of enemy Vader would fear among force users, the ones who would do whatever it took to achieve their goals, and their goals were not selfish but selfless.

It won't work for several reasons 1. The clone troopers need to identify their target as a member of the Jedi order in which no clone trooper knows that Vader and the Inquisitorius were a member of the Jedi order. Vader actually immediately kill a squad of clone troopers that found out he was Anakin, and why in this comic, Ferran call out the Inquisitors real names, to make those clone troopers identify them as members of the Jedi order. As for Palpatine, he was never a member of the Jedi order, hence order 66 would not work on him. Order 65 maybe, but the next reason is why orde 65 also won't work 2. After the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the clone troopers were phased out, I might even go as so far as they were being thrown out, with many many many of them are stationed on worlds that are far from the inner rim. With only selected few to be given under Vader's direct command. They were replaced by Storm Troopers, which if anyone here don't know, they're not clones, they're just regular human that enlist and trained as soldiers in the Empire's academy.

Just subbed, this guy is so dope. Definitely one of my new favorite Jedi. Basically allowed the rebellion to breathe its first breaths and went toe to toe with Vader as a padawan? IMO he coulda beat Vader as a master

i would love to have a series where every 2-3 episodes focuses on one of these surviving jedi and their stories which affected the universe. Ferren Barr is such a cool character!

Ferren Bar's plan ultimately did work in the end. The Mon calamari ships lead the rebellion in many of its deceive victories which would lead to the fall of the empire.

He turned a hopeless situation into an inspiring one. All he really did was change his perspective. They would have died regardless as they were under-siege of both of the empires strongest assets. He really just made hope by planting a thought into Vaders head and by giving the Empire what they wanted, a slaughter. Much like a bullied victim encouraging the bully to hit them and laugh as they got hurt it takes all the steam out of the bully knowing that the reaction they wanted would no longer be given to him.

That Jedi was smart as all hell

after hearing this for the first time Ferren barr is now one of my favourite jedis. as a padawan surviving order 66 and learning such vast knowledge of the plots and schemes of the sith to then turn it around and use it on some of the most deadly forces and even vader himself is such a unseen tactic and in some ways has a beautiful poetic justice side to it. his role in saving few so that many others may be inspired to fight against the empire was not an easy choice nor sacrifice but a necessary one i feel. thank you for this video

Alex V4 at what cost? His actions almost made the Mon Cala go extinct. To be fair I’m conflicted about that, I’m one end he allowed the rebellion to get more steam on the other he could have had two/three species go extinct (the Mon Cala ,the Quaren and I’m not sure but isn’t a sort of a human shark species lives there too?)

Who says Vader was showing empathy? He was taunting Barr, saying that his actions meant he fell from the supposedly high ideals of the Jedi order. It didn't work, because Barr no longer cared, he hated the Empire more.

If the jedi order didn't fall, I think he could be a strong Jedi or maybe he can also have a seat in council, he can be a powerful figure to the new era of Jedi if the order didn't fall

clones are feeble minded, and they allways were. Most of them were made to be that way. Only some were made stronger... But in the end the mind trick does work on everyone if the forceuser is strong enough...

Reminds me a little bit of KOTOR 1 where Revan finds a ancient Computer which he had visited before. The Computer asks him a few questions to determ if he is Revan or not. And some of the answers, Revan had given to the computer at his first visit would kinda look similar to this. Revan would sacrifice thousands of civilians to accomplish victory over his enemy
