100 percent agree... when I hear nat king cole makes me cry cuz it reminds me of my gramps.. As a piano player.. going back to his King Cole Trio only hits me harder because you get to see his musicianship shine so brightly. Truly an inspiration and a gem of a musician! :D

Without exception, I listen to at least an hour's worth of Nat King Cole's music every week. Even now, 56 years after his tragic and untimely passing, his catalog is so vast that there are still revelations after all of this time. Not the least of those revelations are reminders like this one, of just how ahead of the curve he was. He is greatly, greatly missed.

Na king Cole was a highly talented piano player & singer. I've been his fan since my graduate days in the US early 1970s. I do like his daughter Natali. A beautiful singer who had international acclaim.

How is it possible to play such wonderful piano while singing so incredibly well - and sitting sideways at the piano while looking at the audience? Amazing. Nat King Cole has to be seen to be believed!

Great combination of talent, hard work, and experience. It’s also great that he acknowledged the entire team, each as good as the next. Jazz is a wonderful combination of taking simple elements and combining in new and interesting ways. Even average jazz musicians knew what to expect as a song progressed and how to support each other in producing unique and touching experiences. They’d do this for an audience of one as readily as a packed auditorium.

Robert Rodrigues well Oscar Peterson would say all the time how Nat was one of if not his biggest influence. So it’s safe to say without Nat there’s no Oscar. But if they made a Mt. Rushmore of Jazz Pianist all three of them are up there. Billy Tipton is also an underrated jazz pianist to me.
