The reason the American government doesn't want their citizenry to watch the games is because then they'll realize that the government has been stealing their livelihood and prosperity while the Chinese have been relentlessly improving the quality of theirs. China is the wealthiest nation on earth now, what you're seeing with the US's reaction to the Olympic games is but one facet of a deep, spine-tingling sense of guttural panic at the realization that they've lost economic control of Earth to the country they tried to violently subjugate for 80 years. Not only have they lost control of Earth, more importantly, they've lost control of the narrative surrounding that control. The opening of the games was out this world loved all of it, children singing was so good, it was so beautiful, one can't put into words. The work put into making game a success was done with love, everything is so beautiful even where Australians are living till the game is over. Love the amazing train. China has grown over the 50 years with the Chinese people working hard and suffering in the beginning to make China what is today. I'm enjoying the games what I choose to watch, Ice Skating that I love, might watch some of the other winter sports too. This Winter game will be a great success I feel it in my heart. I'm looking forward the closing of the games, it should be out this world too. Love Frances from Queensland Australia. I love this Light show it so beautiful.

I absolutely agree with you however the news media, social media, and politicians in the states have reported how mediocre and lack luster the opening ceremony was and are still advocating to boycott the games irregardless to all of their athletes are there representing the United States. I am fully 100% pure chinese born in Malaysia. My achievement in education is excellent but rejected in many fields linking to the government which is dominated by Malays race. Therefore more than 500,000 Malaysian chinese have left this country seeking greener opportunities oversea. This Malaysia thick of the aparteid system, will soon be going into bankrupt. Malays always rely on the govt for everything from age of day one until the death. Malaysian chinese will help Singapore (Malaysia's neighbour) to develop faster and be on the top country in the world. Mistreatment towards chinese will not stop them but giving them wider experience to improve better in future.

This is absolutely amazing, it is so cool what is able to be done with technology. We can't wait to go back to China again, so much to see and do. But for now we are stuck in frozen Saskatchewan Canada....
